This course has no atmosphere. The clubhouse isn't a place where one can hang out after a round. The restauarant is snotty and pretentous and it's not made for golfers. The Pro Shop inflates their prices for their merchandise. You want a friendly golf course, go to Harding/Fleming.

Harding Park is the place to play golf in The City of San Francisco!

In additional to Harding's 18 hole course, they have FLEMMING, an excellent 9-hole course. Both courses is in excellent shape and well maintained.

The City spent $8 million dollars to renovate the course in 2002-2003. The PGA and USPA is coming back to Harding for tournaments.

When the clubhouse is finished in June 2005, it will be a great place to hangout. The employees are cordial and friendly.

No snob attitudes here, just a real golf course with real golfers that enjoy playing golf, or putting on the practice greens.

Good deal for the money and the course conditions are excellent.

The Presidio Golf Course is only interested in generating revenue and income than providing their golfers with a good round.

In their BUSY PEAK season, they have foursomes spread 8 minutes apart, which can by a few rounds, back up groups 10-20 minutes per tee, thus 5 1/2 hour waits are the norm.

CLUBHOUSE: The so-called clubhouse is just a Pro Shop with high prices, and a high end restaurant. The restaurant caters to higher end biddes from the nearby money rich snobby Pacific Heights district. The restaurant is not a typical place where you can hang out after a round and have a beer or a burger. The prices are expensive too. They are more interested in catering to wedding banquets than provide the golfer with place to hang out.

There is a separate Presidio Golf Club with their own private clubhouse. These are folks from the nearby snobby Pacific Heights who probably couldn't get into the SF Golf Club, the Lake Merced Golf Club and even the Olympic Club.

The Driving Range is decent, but it's hard to track your ball down the hill. The Supervisor of the driving range is "Little Johnnie" who also operates the Pro Shop in the priviate Presidio Golf Club. He's a good golfer but he's one nasty person with a nasty disposition and really bad attitude. Stay away from him.

STARTER SHACK: There was a Starter Shack at the First Tee which housed the Starter. It was torn down, and the Starter employees have to stand unprotected from the windy/rainy conditions. Not only that, they only pay the course employees $8.00 an hour.

The City, SF Recs & Parks only provides 4 gardeners to Lincoln Park. The gardeners do a poor job of maintaining the greens, at times they create most of the damage to the green surface with their tracker mowers, and they take forever to repair their damages. It's like they don't care. They drive a pickup truck onto the fairways and will leave tire tracks there for weeks on end without fixing the deep trackmarks. The course has a serious irrigation problem, and certain areas of the fairway are muddy. It's like winter rules all year round. The course operations are good people but they don't have much to work with, since they operate on a month to month basis.
