Played as a twosome on 12/14 at 8:15am. Maybe due to the weather (cloudy and chilly), there weren't many out. A bunch of threesomes left approx 1 hr prior to our tee time. We finished in 3:45.
Service: Always decent. There was actually a cart guy to help with bag (not always true). Once again, they will be getting rid of free range balls starting Jan. 2013.
Tee box: For the most part decent and level. Some were thinner than others
Fairway: For the most part nice and green. Something that is expected out of Oak Valley
Rough: Not terribly thick and very playable
Greens: Great conditions. Rolling to a 10 or 11. Not as fast due to the cold/wet conditions

All in all, the course is in great condition. We caught up with some of the groups on the last 3 holes. But otherwise a great round.

Played Eagle Glen as a twosome on 12/12 at 7am (Chilly AM, no wind). Its been over a year since I last played here. Wasn't sure what to expect. It was a decent round with good company. Was paired with a single and still finished in under 4hrs.
Service: No bag help in the parking lot. Front desk was great. Had a gift certificate that expired at the end of the year. Stimulation was a round M-Th after 10am, but then made an exception and honored it.
Tee boxes: Very inconsistent. Some were in horrible shape, while others were perfect. Because of the morning dew, some of the chewed up tee boxes were difficult to get good footing.
Fairway: No where near being lush, but not in terrible condition. Not a terrible amount of divots. Level in most places. I would say way better than the last time I played here.
Rough: Not long, but the ball does sit down in it.
Sand: For the most part pretty decent. I was in a really soft bunker and I was also in a pretty hard one. But once again, in better shape than the last time I played.
Greens: The best part of the course. Aside from #2 (they punched it out 12/5), they were all green and rolled fairly well. Some faster than others. No a lot of unrepaired divots.

All in all, this course is in way better shape than when I played it last. Its a beautiful track and hopefully they continue to take care of it.

Played here as a threesome 11/26 8:15am. Weather was perfect and the course was in pretty darn good condition.
Service: Inconsistent. There was a cart guy that met us in the parking lot, but no one took us back after the round. No cart lady at all. There is always a marshal driving around. As of the new year, they will no longer be giving out complimentary range balls :(
Tee boxes: Mostly level. Some were more chopped up than others.
Fairways: Mostly lush and green. Occasional dried up bare spots, but for the most part in really good conditions.
Rough: They have trimmed it and it is is reasonable conditions. They seem to be letting some areas brown out.
Greens: Great condition. Pretty slick but still holds the approach shots. Rolls really nice and does not have a terrible amount of unrepaired divots.

All in all, the course is in really good condition. Pace of play was nice (finished in 4 hrs). Great time to come out and play this course.

Played on 10/1 (hot as hell) AM. Started out as a twosome but got backed up and ended up picking up another twosome. Still finished in 4.5hrs.
The course was in pretty good condition considering the heat. They will be overseeding at the end of this month.
Tee boxes: Felt as if the blues were moved back further than when I played it previously. All were leveled
Fairways: As lush as can be in 100 degree weather. Hardly any brown spots. Very nice. A tad muddy on a couple of the fairways, but otherwise, really nice.
Rough: Not terribly thick and in good condition.
Sand: PRobably the worst part of the course. Hard in the ones that I was in.
Green: They had mowed it pretty low from the last time I played it. Rolling faster than avg. Showing signs of wear and tear from a previous tournament that was played.

Overall, the course was in really good condition.

Played 9/18 at 8:37am ($27). Range was closed for mowing. We arrived early and they just told us to go when ready. We arrived at first tee and saw 2 twosomes in front of us. We asked if we could start on the back 9 and they were cool with it. We finished in a little over 3 hrs.
Tee box: pretty hacked up. especially on the par 3's
Fairway: Lush but composed of a combo of grass and weeds (does that make sense). Course was wet and muddy in areas. I used to remember in the summer that the ball would roll forever on the hard packed fairways. Not the case this time.
Rough: Pretty thick in most places. Hard to spot the balls because they would just sink down.
Sand: Hard and packed.
Greens: Lots of unrepaired divots. Were inconsistent from green to green. Balls were holding though.

I basically played here cause all of my other favorite courses in the area was unavailable. The pros included that I finished in record pace. The course wasn't in horrible condition. Plus they have GPS. I would return if faced with a similar situation.

Played 9/17am for our annual hospital charity tournament. Great day, except the wind was howling (apparently the norm for this area). The course was in pretty good condition. They will be closing next week for reseeding though.
Tee boxes: Farily decent. Some of the par 3s were pretty scuffed up. Overall decent.
Fairways: Nice and lush. Not a lot of brown areas.
Rough: Not terribly long or thick.
Sand: Nice and fluffy.
Greens: For the most part, very smooth and rolled well. The green speeds did vary from certain holes.

The course has a very nice layout. If you have never played it, it is a definite must.

It has been a while since I last played this course (2 wks after the Nationwide Event) and boy has it changed (compare this to my initial review). However the value was great ($30 w/cart) and Oak Valley was closed.
Service: No cart boy, check in was great. Practice range is closed on MWF until 7:30am.
Tee box: Half were in great shape, the other half seemed to be pretty tore up. Some were level while others could use some work.
Fairways: Probably the best part of the course. Lots of burn out areas but other wise in pretty decent shape.
Rough: Not as long as when they had it for the Nationwide. But not in the greatest shape. Lots of dirt patches
Sand: Fair. Pretty inconsistent. Some were being worked on (#10) and had grasses and weeds growing in it.
Greens: Pretty bad shape. Lots of unrepaired divots. Mix of weeds/different grass type growing on some of the greens. The greens were sticky (probably why there were lots of unrepaired divots) so you could really attack them.

Overall, it was a decent day. You can't beat it for the price. Will definitely return during the spring.

Played here as a threesome on 8/17 (8:36am). Although it was scorching hot, the course was pretty crowded.
Service: No bag cart (normally present) to assist with bags. Cart lady was seen multiple times. Marshall was present. Water bucket every 5-6 holes. Would have like it to be present more often especially in this heat.
Tee boxes: mostly leveled
Fairways: For this type of weather, I thought they were in good conditions. Not as tight as I would like, but mostly green. A few brown areas, but can't complain.
Rough: Mostly uniform
Sand: Decent and mostly soft. Few areas had just received water and was a tad wet
Greens: Most problematic. The greens were on the longer end (intentionally for the hot weather) and lead to it being slow. Oak Valley down the 10 freeway were a lot faster. The greens were soft and held most shots.

The round took a tad over 4 hours. The heat really sapped us, but all in all a decent round.

We braved the heat and went out to play on 8/8 at 8:30. The course was empty and we were able to finish (as a threesome) in under 3 1/2 hrs!
The course was in pretty decent condition. They appeared to water most of the holes a ton prior to us getting out there. And due to the heat, the ball would sail almost an extra club length (so be careful with your yardage).
Tee box: For the most part, nice and level. A few of the par threes were covered with divots.
Fairway: Mostly green with occasional dry spots. On some of the front 9, there were muddy patches due to the over watering in the AM.
Greens: Great condition. Not as fast as I am use to at Oak Valley. Mostly divot free and the ball would roll relatively smoothly.
Rough: Not terribly deep and mostly consistent
Sand: Probably the worse that I have seen it (but once again, this is relative to what I am use to there). Some was muddy and hard.
All in all, this course is still in really good condition, considering the weather.

Played twilight on 6/24 as a 4 some. High winds made the round tough. Otherwise the course was in great condition. Tee boxes nice and level. Fairways were pretty good but had quite a few unrepaired divots. Greens were pretty darn fast. Balls were not sticking and made putting and chipping kind of tough. Sands were decent. All in all, a decent time. Just wished the winds weren't as high.

Played on 6/13 as a twosome (using the Roger Dunn Birdie Card only $39!) and was able to get out early. The course was in great condition. Once we got passed a really slow foursome, it was smooth sailing.
Service: Always great, bags picked up from the car. Starter was a very nice guy. Saw a Marshall on a couple of the holes, but not sure if he had to enforce anything or not.
Tee box: For the most part was leveled. Some of the par 3's were pretty hacked up
Fairways: Best I have seen it. Very smooth and tight. They were mowing some of the fairways as we played. There were some brown spots, but I noticed that they had the sprinklers on and aimed at those ares.
Sandbox: Sand was wet in the 3 bunkers that I was in. Wasn't the softest sands. Probably the weakest part of the golf course.
Rough: Decent length.
Green: I thought the greens were decent but not consistent. They were slow for Oak Quarry standards and may have been affected by the cooler AM weather. I felt the greens on the front 9 was a tad longer and slower. The back 9 greens were a tad faster and nice. The balls were sticking because it was still a little damp when we played. All in all, there were in pretty decent conditions.

All in all, we had a great round.

Played as a threesome on Memorial Day 5/28 at 8am. Was lucky enough to get out before the masses. Pace of play was spectacular and we finished in under 4 hours. The course was in great condition.
Tee box: For the most part, nice and level. Some of the par 3 had tons of divots. Overall good.
Fairways: Had a tad more divots than 2 wks ago. Still in great condition though.
Rough: Great condition and didn't eat the ball up.
Greens: For the most part smooth. A few unrepaired divot marks here and there. The speed was average. Ball had a tough time sticking to the greens.
Sands: Great condition.

Overall a great day of golf.
