Was out visiting family in St. George and hit this place up. It is outstanding and worth every penny. The staff warned about watching your speed from the freeway to the course because apparently the Hurricane PD camps out along the route and writes up everyone!!

Played 5/3 on day 3 of a 3 day La Quinta golf weekend. The course was challenging and in good shape for the most part, though some of the tee boxes were a little torn up. I had a bigger problem with the service. They were running late by the time we started and they spent the first 12 holes browbeating our group (and others apparently) to 'play faster or everyone is going to have to skip a hole' despite the fact that we spent time waiting on the group in front of us at least once on every hole. Also, random nonsensical messages kept popping up on the GPS admonishing us to 'keep up with the group in front' as well as to 'stay out of the natural areas'...usually while we were waiting to hit or sitting on the cart path. (I don't know if these were automated messages or not but they were pointless and eventually quite annoying.) Overall I was left with an impression that this course is extremely impressed with themselves and don't feel the need to prove a thing to anyone else.

Played 5/1 as day 2 of a 3 day La Quinta weekend. It was another great day. The staff is helpful and the course is challenging and fun. It took 6 hours to play but I honestly didn't notice it that much. My single complaint was that someone didn't rake up their massive footprint in one of the steep greenside bunkers causing an unplayable lie for me...but I can't blame the course for that...

Played 4/30 as day 1 of a 3 day La Quinta weekend. The course was in excellent shape, the staff was awesome, the weather was mild and even the food was exceptional. One of the best days of golf ever. Worth it for all skill levels, especially if you can package the golf with housing.

Wow...windy yesterday out there... Pace of play was about six hours which is my only real complaint. Course was in decent shape. Looks like they're trying to fix some areas damaged by the winter rains. I wish I could say more...but all I can remember was the wind...and losing about 3 balls that shouldn't have been lost...

There are signs of life at Camarillo Springs. As of yesterday there was no stench from the lakes and playing conditions were nicer than I've seen in a while. The greens weren't as firm as the previous reviewer indicated though the tee boxes were a little torn up. It wouldn't take much to make this course really worth what they charge! (Better/more yardage markers, more water stations, not-so-wet sand, etc.)

Great course, especially for the price. The traps were too wet but the greens and fairway were looking really good. Bev cart and marshals were nice but the pro shop staff were rude and grumpy. (I have no idea why but geez lighten up...)

Walked on yesterday and joined two singles: semi-retired Ed and Nick from Missouri. Only my second time at Olivas...what a great time! The course was awesome for the price. Some wet sand trips here and there and spots where it could've been nicer, but I'm really not complaining. It was a lot of fun. To top it off every single person I interacted with there was extremely pleasant. I'll be back, especially for a walking, mid-week diversion from work.

This course is great. Perfect fairways and greens. Lots of fun. Pace of play was a problem because of an amateur tournament that got off late and ran long, but I can't wait to come back and play again.

Played on Saturday, 5/2/09 for the first time. Wow. What a great course! It was challenging but not brutal. They just installed a new GPS package on the carts. It was a little buggy but has great potential. If you're golfing in the area make sure you play here at least once.

Played Saturday for the first time. Great course, great staff, good time. Cost far less than Ojai Valley Inn and was just as enjoyable...

Played yesterday. Course in ok but not stellar shape like usual. Friendly staff and fellow golfers.
