This is a very mediocre course and definitely the most overpriced place I've played in SoCal. The fairways are patchy and the holes just aren't very exciting. Further, they have a cart path only rule in summer which is ridiculous and slows everything down. Talega is twice the track for the money.

I played here for the first time on 6/1 and loved it. This is a great course, in great condition. The greens are very, very true. This course would be much more fun the second time as some local knowledge would help. The fairways are extremely hard and the ball takes a huge bounce when it lands on the hard pan, so it's too easy to roll off the fairway into a hazard...even with a decent tee-shot. Still though, I'd really like to return!

A very nice track. I liked this tree lined course quite a bit, as it's different than the usual semi-dessert SoCal golf course. A tough track but perfectly fair with big, tiered greens and fairly wide fairways. I'll be back.

Played on 5/6 for the weekend click4teetimes rate of $100. Talega is a great golf course! Very nice layout, well maintained, good lies/fairways, and challenging greens. Some tight landing areas that will be good to know about in advance the next time I play there. I'll definitely be back.

Played on 3-28-07. This is the nicest looking course I've played in SoCal, and it's a steal at the discounted weekday rate through click4teetimes.com. The scenery is beautiful and the course is in perfect condition. It's hard but not unfair. Stay out the rough because it's thick!

Very nice course, and a great deal for the money. It's a real challenge, and extremely difficult if the wind's up. Highly recommended.

Good track for the $. Open and forgiving, but the greens are a little trickier and more interesting than those at Encino.

In very good shape considering that it's late summer. Greens are slow and there's barely any rough, so it's pretty easy to score out there right now.

Played in late July and loved it. Great course in beautiful condition, and a good deal for the summer rate.

Played for the first time on 5/10. This course is a gem; challenging, in great shape, and very unique. The greens were tricky to read and very firm, and it took me quite a while to get used to the large collars surrounding all the greens. Can't wait to get back out there!

Played Encino on 4/21. The greens on the back 9 were in much better shape than those on the front, mainly because they were aerated earlier. The rough was a mess (as always), but all in all the course was pretty nice and the fairways were in very good condition. This is a forgiving, flat, and long course if you haven't played it before.

Played on 4/19/06. Weather was perfect and the views were incredible. The greens had been punched and were not perfect, but still much better than most non-aerated muni greens. This course is the best $22 you'll ever spend mid-week. Finished in approx. 5:30 hours. All in all it was in great shape for the money.
