Rode with Queen of WedgeWood on 2/24/17. The course has been abused and mis managed over the past few years but I'm happy to report that the course has recovered and in great shape.

Most tee boxes are level and lush with only couple having unfilled divots.

The rough was lush due to the heavy rains and penal but fair.

Greens are lush , fast and were holding approach shots. There were several greens that the collars were replaced and they were still growing in and seams between collars and greens could effect your shots.

P.O.P. was under 4 hrs on busy Friday afternoon which I think is pretty good.

Valencia has made it back into my top 5 courses to play in So. CA and I'm glad that it has. In my humble opinion this is one of the best tracks around , I could play here everyday.

Please fill in your divots + 1 & repair your ball marks + 1.

Played 9/27 with Queen of Wedgewoods , Clutch and sniper1. This is the best condition I have seen Olivas since they reopen with the links style.

Tee boxes are level and lush these boxes are some of the best that I have seen anywhere.

Fairways are very lush no bare spots ball sits up very well giving you perfect lie, felt like I was down in desert.

Rough is down with bare spots but still was penal if you were in it.

Greens were fair with some holes having many ballmarks that were not repaired and slow rolling around six or seven. ( Please repair your ballmark +1)

Was in one bunker and it was firm.

Overall great condition for this year with drought conditions.

If you get chance come here and have great time well worth the green fees.

Played 8/22 with Queen Wedge & Woods and was very disappointed to see how bad the condition of one of my favorite tracks has become in such short time. The new owners are spending $$ to repair the cart paths but tee to green the course is in the worst shape I have seen in the 20 + years that I have played there.

We were wondering if this was done by the previous management company since they lost the contract after new owners took over from CNL ?

So many dead spots on the fairways and around all the greens I hate to say this but many of the muni's I play are in better condition than my beloved Valencia at this time.

It also looks the membership is not helping the situation with many divots not being filled and not repairing ball marks on the greens.

The tee boxes were 6 out of 10.

Fairways 4 out 10

Rough 5 out 10

Greens 7 out of 10 rolling about 8 - 9 on stimp meter. The greens were very slow for this course which roll around 10 - 13 just couple of months ago.

It has been only two months since I last played at big V and I was shocked to see how quickly the condition of the course has declined.

If you get chance to play here do it but play lift, clean and place so you can enjoy the round.

Played with Queen of Wedge Woods, Gunnz & Clutch on very nice day. The course remains in good shape with nice tight fairways , putting greens rolling about 9 little slow for my taste but the are consistent hole to hole. Tee boxes are very lush and level with almost no divots.

Bunkers could use little more sand I was in two of them and was very disappointed that no one seems to rake them after hitting there shots. I was in the fairway bunker on #9 and was in divot, the bottom of the divot was hard pan mud. I look at 5 different types of shoe imprints in this one bunker! Really, come we know that you are special but please rake the bunker when your done playing out of it.

Some of the rough is now knee high and I lost ball after pushing my tee shot right on 18 , I lost my ball and lost my match but that is my fault not the roughs.

Great deal this week starting 7/13 to 7/16 after 2pm $25 with cart.

Played on 7/3 with Queen of Wedge Woods, Clutch and Gunnz the course is in the best condition I have ever seen it. The fairways were great with almost no bare spots or hardpan, ball sat up and reminded me of playing in the down in the desert. Tee boxes were in good shape with some divots , bunkers had plenty of sand but were wet , I was only in one bunker so it could have been just that one. greens were little slow for my taste rolling 7 - 9 but were in very good condition. rough varied hole to hole on some holes rough was over 5 inches on others almost none.

Payed $38 included cart great deal. This is one of our " Go to" courses in the summer and worth the $$.

Please rake bunkers and repair your ballmarks !

Played 6/7 with Queen of Wedge & Wood, Clutch and Bueno course conditions continue to decline with fungus on some fairways and greens.

Looks like Fore Golf management has stopped putting effort into keeping the course maintained at premium level.

Tee boxes were level with no bare spots. Fairways on some holes have fungus while other holes had dead spots , hard pan areas. Very disappointing to see them in this poor shape.

Around the greens another type of grass is taking over.

Bunkers were hard and crusty looks like they have not been maintained for while.

Putting greens also had fungus on some holes but were smooth and rolled true with very few un - repaired marks.

PoP was 4 hours.

The membership is probably upset with the current course condition as I am. This track has always been my favorite but very sad to see how Fore Golf has mismanaged this gem.

Played 5/31 with Queen of Wedge & Wood, Gunnz and Clutch.

Typical desert weather with temp at 105 when we finished round at 2:00.

Tee boxes were level and in fair condition with little or no divots.

Fairways were thin but very playable some areas were burned out.

Rough was 4 - 5 inches in some places.

Bunkers and there are many of them on this Nick Faldo designed course were in very good shape except for the face had little too much sand causing the balls to bury deep making them unplayable.

Greens were verticut and sanded earlier in the week rolled 8 -9 and constant speed hole to hole. I had 29 putts and felt greens rolled true.

Overall course is fun and challenging and worth the $49 Under Par special that included range , green fees and cart for summer play.

Played 5/17 with Queen of Wedges & Woods & Clutch. Our tee time was 1:52 but they were running a little late from Charity tourney in front of us.

The pro shop as always top shelf service. There was problem with range ball machine and they quickly helped us out hand loading the baskets.

The tee boxes were thick and lush looks like they were not mowed in several days , this could be done for the tourney. The tee boxes are crowned on quite few holes and could be redone to level them out.

Fairways were thin and thick depending on hole and had many divots in various stages of healing .

Bunkers were hard pan with little sand at the bottom of the bunker.

Very little rough looks like they are no longer watering the rough and it has died.

Greens good shape with some un- repaired ball marks but very slow 5 - 7 and they seemed to get slower as the day went on.

Pace of play was just over 5 hours ( due to tourney) It would be nice to know when booking round that you would be notified that there is tourney.

This course could use some TLC when funds become available.

Played 5/10 with Queen Wedge - Wood , Clutch & Straight n long. Greens rolling 8 - 9 consistent hole to hole with almost no un repaired ball marks. Fairways are starting to get hardpan on some holes while other holes were lush , back nine was in better shape than front nine. Rough was mostly dead grass. Bunkers are hardpan and need sand. PoP was 4 hrs 15 minutes. Staff was top shelf and well trained informing us of the new GPS system on golf carts and that there are only two new drinking fountains on the course that replaced the water coolers.

Played with Queen of Wedge - Wood, Clutch & Dbl. D on 5/3. They are preparing the course for US Open sectional qualifier in couple of weeks. The rough was high and thick, the fairways are in great shape lush with nice lies. The greens were on the shaggy side like they had not been cut in day or two, rolling around 6 -7. tee boxes in good shape with little or no damage. Bunkers had not been maintained and had hard crust on surface.

Big V will always be one of my top 5 courses , if you get chance to play here do it well worth the $$.

Played with Queen WedgeWood on 4/15. Great pace of play of 3 hrs 15 minutes. Course is in good condition.

Tee boxes could have some work done as they becoming un-level and crowned.

Fairways were good to very good with only couple of bare spots.

Bunkers were good to very good , I was only in one bunker and it had plenty of sand and was groomed.

Putting greens were still recovering from being punched and sanded couple of weeks ago and will be good to very , good in couple of weeks. Speed of greens were slow 6 - 7 but should speed up and the have recovered.

Holes 14 - 18 are my favorites fun to play in beautiful setting.

Pro shop folks are top shelf and very friendly. Worth the greens fees.

Played with Gunnz and Clutch we teed off on time but group in front of us was behind 1/2 - 1 hole entire round asked Marshall if he would tell the group to pick up pace but he did not. PoP was 5 1/2 hrs.

Course was in the best shape that I have seen it in years with fairways green and no hard pan areas. Rough was 1 - 3 inches with almost no bare spots. Greens were in great shape rolling from 8 - 9 consistant hole to hole with almost no un repaired ball marks. Bunkers groomed and raked with plenty of sand.

Staff was top shelf and helpful.

Worth the green fee.
