Whitney Oaks Golf Course has in the past five years gone from a ultra conditioned golf course to below average conditions. The fairways are very thin with many bare spots. Sand traps are not maintained even though new sand was placed not long ago. Golf carts are in need of replacement. I Have been a member since 1999 and not happy with play conditions. Club House has not been maintained and is in need of painting, rugs and furniture. If rumours are true this course has been purchased by new owners. Hopefully they will bring it back to its former play condition and tidy up the facilities.

Played this course on Thursday, March 4, 2010. Lots of fun and in great condition. This is an excutive 18 hole 3 par with one 4 par. Used most of the clubs in my bag and had a great time as did the other 3 people with me. Pace of play was great the course was challenging and in terrific condition. What a bargain for $24.50 each as a foursome. Mike

Played on March 9, 2010. Fairways had many bare spots. Rough very uneven with tall grass and clumpy grass. One half of each green had been aereiated and sanded with the other half of each green to be done in another week ? Never seen this done before and it made for really nasty putting surfaces one half fast the other sandy and slow. Tee boxes were very sandy and in poor condition. This used to be one of the premier golf courses in the area now needs lots of work. Mike

Played this course on March 5, 2010. Tee time was set for 12:10 PM - Got off of the tee at 12:25. Paid $10 extra dollars to tee off prior to 12:30 PM. Pro-shop would not ri-eimburse. Desk person " Mike " checked us in and was not not friendly at all in fact quite surley. Starter was a loudmouth individual who spent to much time talking with people he knew thereby holding up play. Play was very slow. Attempted to call the pro-shop - no answer. Attempted to call the golf course manager - no answer. Asked the cart girl to have a marshall contact us - no reply. 2 hours 45minutes for front nine. Finally spoke to marshall and he refused to do anything and was arrogant. Five hour 5 minute round. Fairways were very narrow and rough was all weeds. Green were fair but hard as a rock and on the slow side. Sand traps were hard and compacted. Not an enjoyable day for our foresome. Will not return.
