Played on Saturday 4/18. The weather was perfect, little if any wind. Played the Eldorado/Coyote layout. The course was surprisingly dry and browner than one would expect this time of year. Almost looked like they were setting it up as a links style course. The green speeds were very inconsistent from hole to hole and you could never could really get a feel for how fast or slow they were rolling from hole to hole. The fairways were tight and decent but the rough was really non-existent. The sand was decent in depth with sand in all of them that I was in but they were fairly rocky.
The range was grass which is a great way to warm up but boy could they use some new range balls. A lot of them had been around a while and several of them had cuts in them but then again it's only the range. Overall the pace of play was very good and the customer service was outstanding. However I thought even at the resident rate of $48 the price may have been a few dollars too high for the current conditions.

The customer service was terrific from check-in to the starter on through to the cart girls. Everyone was absolutely wonderful. But since I was there to play the course let's get on with that.
I played on Sunday and the wind was up with that 20mph gentle breeze. No big issues remembering we are in the desert. The tee boxes were fine for the most part, no major issues but some were a little hairy and needed the mower. The fairways were in good shape but the rough was not pretty. It had many clumps of grass and was very inconsistent. It did look like many types of grasses were in different stages of growth or remission. The bunkers both fairway and greenside were decent but they did have way too many rocks and pebbles in it that I like to see or feel should be in them. The greens were fairly good but rather slower than I remember for this location. The biggest drawback here this day was the pace of play. It was slower than slow. There was a wait on every shot and sometime two groups on some tees when we pulled up. Didn't see anyone policing or monitoring the pace of play all day. I suppose on a Sunday this time of year you are not going to get the 4 hour round. Overall I had a great day on the course with good company and enjoyed the track.

Played on Sunday. The service was outstanding. The check in was friendly and the starter that day was outstanding. The rang was fully stocked and the entire pre-round experience was terrific.
Pace of play was great, never a wait and kept moving all day. The course condition was good, Tee boxes were a bit chewed up but you could tell that they were at the end of the cycle and were about to be moved to the lusher healed areas soon. The fairways were above average and well kept and the rough was still dormant and brown. No issues at all hitting from either area. The two bunkers I was in had a lot of small rocks and could probably use a bit more sand. They seemed a bit more like waste areas than greenside bunkers. The greens were a bit more chewed up than I remember with a lot of unrepaired ball marks but they rolled well and were fairly quick.
Overall it was an excellent day with amazing weather, very little wind and excellent views. I would recommend getting out here if you in the area.

Played on Saturday afternoon paired up with two other singles. Overall a very nice day. Pace of play was good for an afternoon round finishing in just a bit over 4 hours. Course conditions were:
Tee boxes from where the blue markers were placed were not very level and quite chewed up.
Fairways were overall in good condition as there are getting ready for overseeding. A lot of divots that just needed to be sanded but for the most part very playable.
Rough was good, not to penal and fairly consistent.
Fairway bunkers were good (or at least the three I was in). Very playable from in there.
Greens had been worked on but were rolling really slow. For the most part in good condition but look a lot faster than they played. That took some adjustment.
Staff was very friendly and the cart girl was around several times throughout the day.
Overall the course is wide open with not much trouble even if you miss the fairways. It was a nice way to work on some things without getting in much trouble. For the cost (resident rate $35 including cart, range balls and two drinks) it was a wonderful way to spend an afternoon.

Played on Saturday and the pace was consistant until 16 where it slowed a bit but overall a nice day on a nice course without much waiting and not anyone pushing from behind. First off, the views of the Vegas valley from this course are amazing. Sometimes when you feel a bit of frustration setting in from a poor shot or a little wait all you need to do is look up at the limitless view as far as the eye can see and somehow things get put back in prospective.
Now for the course
PROS:
Good condition on the tee boxes, fairways and rough. Some of the overseed may have washed away from the rains but overall it's in good shape
Enjoyed the layout with a lot of elevation changes. It's not just a "pull out the driver on every hole" type of course.
The views
Nice pace of play for a mid day weekend
Nice practice facility
Excellent customer service
CONS:
Greens are a bit bumpy with a lot of ball marks that people just are not fixing
Not much sand in any of the traps, they are more like waste areas (guess you shouldn't be in them anyway)
Full tourist rack rate may be a bit high but that's Vegas golf this time of year.

Played on Saturday morning. It was very overcast in the morning which made everything quite wet but once the sun came out everything dried nicely. What a wonderful facility and golf course. The customer service is top notch from the time you arrive to the time you have to leave. From some areas on the courses there are some really amazing 360 degree views that you need to take a moment to appreciate, without slowing play of course :)
Played Canyon/Ridgeline and the course was in great condition. The tee boxes are flat and lush, the fairways are like carpet, the rough was full and lush, the bunkers had good sand but because of the moisture the sand was a bit heavy that day, and the greens are smooth roll very true.
All in all it is a great place to play and would play it anytime I was heading out in that area. It is really one of the best tracks available that the public can play.

Played 5/25 and the course was in excellent condition. Tee to green this track is well taken care of. Greens rolled true, fairways were great and the rough was lush. All in all a wonderful day at a very nice facility. Would play again when possible.

Played Creekside/Ridgeline on 12/2, Windy, Windy, Windy but the course is in fantastic condition. A real nice layout with lots of elevation changes and terrific views. The greens were in excellent condition and very fast. Fairways, rough and tee boxes were all in great shape.
Overall I would highly recommend playing this track whenever the chance arises.

The course is in great shape. The greens are getting really quick and not many marks on them, the rough is growing in and becoming quite deep. The fairways are in good shape with some divots in the major landing areas but most of them are sanded and the grass is carpet like conditions. They are getting the course ready for the LPGA next month and it's in really great shape right now and will only get better over the next month. Well worth the price of admission.

Played on Sunday (10/31) with a morning tee time. Let's start with the positives; the staff could not be more friendly, they were outstanding. Overall the course was in decent shape with he few exceptions I will note below. The fairways were nice, the rough was good and the greens, while slow were in really good condition for something that gets this much play. The price was unbeatable really, $25 with cart for a Sunday morning round is fairly unbeatable but ................
The round was slow, slow, slow. I have never seen three groups backed up on the 18th tee box trying to tee off to finish a round until here. To start with the tee times were about 1/2 hour behind in the morning at 9:30 am due to a mens club event and it really didn't get much better all day. 5+ hours for a round of golf is not my cup of tea but then again it was only $25 which is why I suppose it was an over 5 hour round. Most of the tee boxes were bare or had a large amount of divots and the bunkers were fairly bad. I was in quite a few unfortunately and not only were they full of rocks but they were all harder than most of the paved roads. Overall the rest of the course was in good shape.

Played 36 on Sunday 8/1 & it's no wonder it's the toughest course in Bob Hope Desert Classic rotation and the views are absolutly amazing. From the vast amounts of mountain rock formations, bunkers, waste areas, trees and water, some holes are so beautiful that you stand at the tee and stare out trying to soak in the sights for as long as possible.
As for the play of the course it can be one tough track depending on what tee box you choose to play from. From the tips it can go to a bit over 7600 yards and we were told that the pros are only playing the golds at about 7200. The blue tees are quite playable and they even have a rated combination of blue and white tees marked on the card depending on your skill level. Every hole has some trouble you can get into unless you keep the ball accurate. The nice thing is that for the most part it's trouble you can escape if you play smart, take your medicine and layup back in play.
The condition was outstanding but is on the way to getting a lot better. The greens were slow as they were a bit shaggy but held the line of a well struck putt. You can see though that with a close mow and roll out they can easly run at an 11. The fairways were lush and the rough was terrific. Considering it's the middle of summer in the dessert the fairways were a bit moist as they try to get the bermuda to fully take hold. The staff were very friendly and most accomadating. We saw the cart attendant at least 5 times on the first 18 but they do let her go home after about noon.
Overall this is a really nice track that you should play at least once if you are in the area. The summer on line weekend rate at $40 with cart and range balls and a course replay rate of $25 made this deal one you could not pass up.

Played on Friday and was quite surprised at this course. It was in great condition and while most holes are very short there is enough challenge with trees and bunkers to make you hit some shots well to score. The greens were in great condition with hardly a divot but were very soft and a bit slow to putt on. The traps were well sanded and for the most part quite fluffy. The fairways were in real good condition with some being recently punched although the punching was healing nicely and the fairways were really clean from any of the punching. The fairways were a bit damp though and you didn't get much roll out as you would expect this time of year. Overall this course was in terrific condition and the staff were all very friendly.
