Played 7/6. Greens are completely healed from aeration. But there are now tons of unrepaired ball marks. Doesn't take long for those to show up apparently. Otherwise, greens running good. Fairways are ok. If you play afternoon round, the last 3 holes are directly into the sun, making it a challenge to see your ball flight.

Played 8/16. This is a great all-around course. The layout is very challenging and rewards well placed shots. The greens are fast and consistent. Some holes had ball mark damage but overall great greens that challenge your ability to lag putt. The par 3s are all enjoyable and challenging. Definitely worth it and highly recommended whenever you're in Vegas.

Played 8/8. Course conditions were generally good except for the greens. All the greens had A LOT of unrepaired ball marks and A LOT of dead spots due to unrepaired ball marks. This took so much away from the golfing experience. Putts would literally bounce around as the ball rolled. Considering the price category of the course, this is pretty bad. Add on top of that the long drive from Orange County and the horrible pace of play (took us 5 hours 50 minutes to finish) -- this is not a course I will come back to.

Played 8/4. The fairways on the first few holes had large sections of ground under repair and lots of gnats. This gave a bad first impression. But things seemed to get better after the 3rd hole. The greens were very impressive throughout. They rolled true and consistent and very few ball marks. The layout is fun and challenging. Try to keep it out of the numerous traps as the sand is very soft and the graphite rakes are splintering, which isn't much fun trying to remove tiny bits of graphite from your hand. Overall, the impression is muni-golf in Palm Springs -- which is easy on the wallet, good conditions, but nothing truly spectacular.

Played 6/24. Course was in good condition all around. I don't understand the complaints on the greens as they are in pretty good shape. The only thing is that they are sort of slower than they appear. They roll pretty consistent from green to green. Playing from the tips makes the 2 long par 3s on the back very challenging. Good course to challenge your ability to manage your game. A lot of elevation changes from tee boxes to fairways to greens.

Played 6/21. This is a fun course with a lot of water (pretty appropriate considering it's a Navy course) in play on many holes. A lot of dog legs so ball placement is key off the tee. The condition of all features is good. Some of the fairways are punched and sanded to regrow the grass but no big deal. At least they're improving the conditions. The main feature of this course are the greens. They are very undulating which puts more pressure on your approach shot because you will want to land on the right shelf where the hole is. Otherwise, hope your putting is up to it. Greens are smooth rolling but pretty slow. Great test and very enjoyable to walk.

Played 6/18. This is a nice course. Bunkers everywhere. The layout is very nice. There is a lot of construction going on around the course so that took away from the experience a bit. But the holes next to the lake make up for that distraction. Nice challenge. Not the best course conditions for a Vegas course which is surprising considering the green fees.

Played 6/10. Conditions are ok. Greens are running at a good speed and roll true. The fairways were ok. The rough was cut low and consistent. Played using red dot discount so that made it worth the green fee.

Played 6/2. The greens on this course are superb. Very smooth and rolled nicely. The layout is quite challenging and is typical Pete Dye with tons of hills and bumps along the fairways. Most greens sit on top so short or long balls will roll down into collection areas or traps -- very challenging. A few gripes are that a majority of the tee boxes were unleveled. A few of the holes had unfair pin placements. Unfair in that holes were literally on the very ridge of a slope. We even heard other groups complain and marvel at the pin placements. Overall, fun course but the unleveled tee boxes and pin placements detracted a lot from the experience.

Played 5/7. The course is in pretty d%mn good shape like everyone else is reporting. But I'm surprised no one has mentioned the green conditions for reals. It must have happened today, but all the greens had tracks from the mowers in them. They must have cut the greens too low because it definitely was not as smooth and free from holes as others make it seem. Don't get me wrong, i love the goose and play it at least once a month. Just a bit disappointed that the greens were not as perfect as the rest of the course. Surprising in fact.

Played 4/16. First time playing here and I would have to agree with the two previous posts. The conditions here are not that good to be honest. And that's a real disappointment especially @ a Troon managed golf course. The tee boxes were torn up and unlevel on a lot of the holes. The fairways were not consistent and often times had bare spots. The sand traps on 17--way too soft and not like any of the other traps along the course...it was very weird and our playing partners all thought the same. If they ever get the course conditions back, this would be a quite challenging course. The layout of the holes is extremely enjoyable and makes for some great views along the front 9. If it weren't for the Red Dot 2-for-1 discount, I would be extremely pissed that a round would cost $90 weekday given the current conditions.

Played 4/7. Course was very wet. Numerous fairways showed tire damage from the carts. People need to start respecting courses and not drive up step parts of the fairways when they're soggy. Some other fairways were showing very thin spots along with some greens. Overall, I don't know if paying $80 weekend primetime is worth it for the conditions. But the overall challenge of the course was excellent -- forced carries on first and second shots will truly test you. And some of the best non-ocean views you will get in the IE. Recommended but not for the full weekend primetime rate.
