I really like this course. Really, really like this course. Whether it's the early morning fog breaking off the beautiful hill scapes. Or the evening fog rolling in. During the day, the views are great. Nice blended course into the landscape of an actual 1800's dairy farm. Some people say a golf course is a waste of go pasture. Not the case here. Plenty of holes with hits over water, or along creek beds. #2 requires a good tee shot from the back tees angled over pond. Challenge as well as a confident builder for good shots rolling to the right places.
If anywhere in the central coast, This is a must play. Good value as well.
Playing this cours for the first times and it's worth all the hype. Very nice place, great views and holes. A tree lined links course with grassy dunes everywhere. The greens must be used for basketball or skate park after hours, solid greens. Great experience.
In town working in the local area and I brought my clubs for some AZ golf. Researched the local courses on the web and found StoneRidge nearby. This golf course has a challenging layout. Severe elevation changes, lots of (kiss your ball goodbye) areas. Very beautiful location and surroundings, with lot of the local rock and dry vegetation. You are required to know your shot distance and location, this is crucial. I hit a drive on #2 that followed the fairway slight right, later to see it continue to roll off to the right and out of bounds and out of reach. The fairways roll up/down/left/right. Lot's of elevated tees, Peaceful play. I really had an enjoyable round as a single playing with a couple locals to guide me through the smart shots. The customer service was first class from when I was greated when I arrived, to the club cleaning service and friendly thanx for playing their course. I wish more golf was like this place. With that said, the value is above and beyond worth it. Spend it, play it, and bring a lot of balls. I'm a true hacker and enjoy the game. Take care.
Played this course several times in the past and have always enjoyed the experience. Went for a quicky back 9 this morning and liked the conditions and it seemed freshly mowed. The par 3 #14 elevated green requires the right distance on your stoke because there is no visual of the green from tee. The fairway tree on #16 requires an accurate drive, I hit this tree more than the fairway from the tee box. Very good experience and environment.
Nice GC along river. Good value
