Teed off Monday at 9am and finished in 4:45. Greens were in very good shape and the fastest I have seen them in a while. Fairways were hard with some bare spots but ok to hit off. Rough was spotty but the sand traps were very consistent. The green fees are the lowest in the area and are well worth it.

Lakewood is one of my favorite tracks and at $28 to walk is a pretty good deal. Today they were putting a light sand cover on a few of the greens that are in bad shape (Holes 2 and 3 to name a couple). Some of the greens were in good shape but all rolled pretty fast. Fairways were hard and fast and there wasn't much rough to speak of. Only hit two sand traps today and both had good sand. I also wanted to give a little advice to the 3 gentlemen I played with today. I am sure you are really nice guys but I really didn't get a chance to get to know you since you only spoke 3 words of English to me all round. Also, it is ok to fix your divots on the green; if you can't reach any par 4 holes in 2 shots and you are using your driver on the par 3 holes and still coming up short you should not be playing the back tees; it is not ok to keep your cell phone ringer on high and talk on your phone right next to people when they are trying to swing; when putting the person farthest away has honors.

Course was a little slow...got out as a single in 15 minutes. Tee boxes were good with a few growing back from being reseeded. Fairways were in good shape for the most part with a few dirt spots. Greens were fast and if you were above the hole it was tough to keep it close. Greens have recovered from being punched but do have a lot of brown ball marks on them. Traps were good and the pace of play was 4:15. Not bad for a 9:30am tee time. This is a great walking course and has a pretty good practice area with two separate practice putting greens.

Played on 11/12. Course is in great shape. Greens are some of the best around. Fairways were lush and rolling well. Sand was decent and the rough was a little spotty but still ok. This course is a great course to walk and the greens alone are worth the fees. Staff is friendly.

Course was in the process of reseading all tee boxes. All Blue and White tees were moved forward some all the way to the women's tees. This was a bummer and I wish they would tell people ahead of time about this. Fairways were in good shape and greens were hard and fast. Sand was decent and not much rough on this course to speak about. Staff is always pretty friendly at this course. Course should be good in another two to three weeks.

Greens are recovering and in another week will be great. Currently they are hard and fast making for some tough downhill puts. Fairways in good shape while the rough was cut short and a little bare in some spots. This course is a great walking course and our pace of play was good considering there were fivesomes on the course ahead of us.

Alert is incorrect. Other half of greens were aerified on Monday, October 19. Greens will need a few weeks to get back to normal. Fairways and sand were pretty good but the rough was very bare. Haven't seen it like this...might be due to water restrictions in Long Beach.

Played this course for the first time on Saturday and really enjoyed it. Fairways were in great shape and the rough can be tough. The greens rolled great but were very hard so it was tough to get at the pins in the front of the greens. The layout is great and playing the course a few times would be very helpful.

Teed off at 9am on Tuesday and the pace of play was good at 4:15. At least 5 greens have been recently punched with small holes the other greens were fine. Would wait a another week for them to heal. Fairways were in good shape and bunkers were good. A little pricey compared to some other courses in the area but pace of play is usually good and easy to get out as a single.

Some of the greens were recently punched again in the front but really didn't come in to play much. Fairways and sandtraps are good. Played Friday at 8:30am and finished in 3.5 hours. Course was empty. Course is a little pricey but is always in good shape.

Courses has recovered well from aeration. Fairways were running fast and the coursed was in good shape. Sand traps were all pretty consistent and tee boxes have been overseeded to fill them in.

Not sure what course Ringworld played but this course might be in the worst shape I have seen it in over 10 years. Number 3 green is terrible and the others that they tried to enlarge are struggling also. The maintenance staff doesn't seem to realize that you can't drive the heavy machinery over wet areas. There are bad tire tracks on the grass everywhere. Hope the greenskeeper figures things out because this used to be a great local course now it is a shell of what it once was.
