course is improving. Greens rolled very nicely. Some fairways had some soaked areas but they are really trying to get it in shape with a new greenskeeper. Played behind a 5 five some and they were very quick the problem was the five some infront of them. Course was fun and really see it getting better very soon.

Always love coming here every year the same time. Here the greens do not break severally they are poa annua. but roll very true. Keep the ball in play and you will score well. Staff is great.

Been about 10 years since I have played this course and can see that the maintenance is a little on the weak side but still enjoyed the course. It is old style traditional golf. Our golf deal was incredible for 46.00 we got breakfast, lunch, 2 drinks, golf w/cart. CANT BEAT THAT at 8:25 on a Saturday morning. Staff is great here and very knowledgable in heat stroke. A person 2 tables over from us went down and they knew exactly what to do to keep the person respondent and cooling off. Paramedics were there in minutes. 6/11/2016

Really enjoyed this course, first time playing. Found that these greens do not break as much as it looks. So there is a great tip straight out of the gate. It took me about 4 holes to realize it. Also i got a deal through golf now, i think i paid 39.00 w/cart at 3:00pm. 6/10/2016

Really need to play this course twice before really thinking about shooting a number here. Lot of blind shots and misjudging views. Btw the views are spectacular on a clear day. Greens are great and true. Low handicappers do not need the big dawg on many holes. More about ball placement. Mind set here is to think fairways and greens.

This course is in magnificent shape. The fairways are like carpet in the sand is smooth as sand in an hourglass. The greens are smooth they had just been aerated last week there is sand on the green it is very lightly and have very little effect on your putting.

This is one of the best kept public courses you will find in SoCal..especially in this drought California is having. I used to work here as a kid in the early eighties and I have not seen it in better shape. This course makes you hit the shots. You have to find the fairways and stay below the pins. Play the course the way it was drawn and think old school with it being a Billy Bell design.

Grew up playing this course and they are doing a great job for the conditions ALL these courses are up against with water cut backs. Some trees are falling due to the "reclaimed" water issue. But I would say out of all the public courses within the San Fernando valley this course is amongst the top in " best shape". The greens do roll quickly at a pace of about an 11 on the stimp meter. Fairways do have some thin areas but get over it, if you hit the ball properly then you hit the ball first and not have to worry about the tight lie. But for the most part you may only see that once in a round. Always have a good time playing there and the staff is wonderful. "Scotty" is doing everything he can to keep conditions optimal with what budget he has to work with and doing a fine job at it.

Fairways are running a lot and anything over 150 yards and out you should play it a tad short. Lot of run on the greens and I play to a 5. I liked it and our group had fun that is all that matters. But the course does need some more water

First time I had actually played the course. I left myself on the wrong side of many holes which cost me a few 3 putts and I am a great putter lol. Will come back definently. The staff is great. Ben Krug and Kurt in the shop were extremely helpful. You have to play this course a few times to learn the undulations of the greens which some holes are huge. the layout of fairways are great but the greens will test your game. Worth playing .

This is a course that you "love to hate".. I absolutley love this course have played it for over 30 yrs now and it still gets me on just one hole to say "arrrgggg" . Will always come back. Good Staff and Club House Restaurant will "re-open" Jan 10th 2014. Closed now for new management.

PLayed sat 6/15 early morning. It was a quick round but it does only play 6500 from the blues. First few holes were short basically long iron -wedge, repeat and repeat. Enjoyed the greens and scenery was great. Got up close to a big horn and saw a new family of them one hole over. It was very cool. Staff is very friendly and Jodie in the restaurant has a great big smile for all.
