After hearing all the "fuss" about "The Poor Man's Pebble Beach", I have to say how much I enjoyed playing a challenging incredible golf course! The greens were slick and playing good golf here challenges your mental state, but again so very well worth it!! The Staff is professional and kind from the bag drop to them loading your clubs back in your car! Sandpiper is everything people say it is and I would play it again, anytime!!

Played Camarillo Springs Sunday 10/10/04. Although the weather condition was great and the course, fair, I was disappointed in the Tee Boxes! Many of the Tee Boxes were severly unbalanced and untrue for a full swing. They need to be re-leveled. Other than that, it was okay to play.

Played Moorpark CC on Good Friday by getting a Tee Time at the last minute, late morning! Course is in good shape and competitive. Challenging to the mental game with the winds and elevated Tee Boxes. Good thinking Man's course.

Moorpark Country Club is in absolutely wonderful immaculate shape. A truly challenging and fun track. Highly recommended!!

Played Rustic Canyon 6/25/03 with Cheeseburger, another Greenskeeper player, and enjoyed the round very much. Course played well but the Greens were very very tough and hurt my confidence a bit. Course is in nice shape and makes for a challenging round.

Played Westlake 5/24/03. Course is still pretty nice for a Public Executive Course. Greens were slightly bumpy, but still competitive. New Tee Box on #9 makes playing from the Blue Tees a little more competitive, 125 yds. over water with Sand surrounding the Green.

I played Rancho for the first time in my life today 5/16/03. I really enjoyed the Course. The first hole was a Temporary Par 3 due to a Tournament being played this weekend. The course is in great shape for a public course. I was told that I wouldn't finish with a 1:30 pm time, but finished with daylight to spare. I guess I got lucky. I'm proud to say I shot 84. I'm currently a 16 handicap. The historic 18th was fun dodging balls from the Driving Range, but managed a par knowing Arnold Palmer took a 12. Rancho is everything people talk about and more. I would love to play there again.

Played Westlake 5/7/03. I just joined the Men's club, so I play in their Monthly, Weekly tournaments. For a Public Executive course, they keep it in nice condition. The Greens are not too fast so I believe the Putts are more real. As far as condition of the course, I would say pretty darn good. There are some weak spots and maybe a couple of Tee Boxes that are a little beat up, but overall, pretty good. It's a great golf course to test your shorter irons.
