GN discount of $62 for a 10:50am tee time on a Monday. Course immaculate. Greens very true, even ball marks were smooth(shows the quality of players). Was playing very well, with only a couple of 'loose' shots, scored 88 on Lake and Mountain 9's. Wind was up on Mountain 9, but from the white tees it was playable even in 90 degree heat. 4 stars and excellent service.

Played on 12/27/2011, 62 degrees at tee time. NCGA special, $395 green fee made it a little easier to 'swallow', but it was still a lot of $$$($520 regular rate). Beautiful day, caddie said it was a '10'. The drought is problem for the area for everyone except golfers. Greens were running at 12 to 12.5 and were impossible to 'read'. I didn't hire a caddie, but my playing partners did, so they gave me some 'reads', but it is impossible to do on your own without playing PB multiple times. I was swinging well, so tee to green, it was ok, just putting was frustrating. Paying the extra $125 for a caddie definitely would have made my score better. You really have to consider that. I can't see amateurs scoring well here as your attention is easily distracted by the scenery. Can't say anything that you don't already know, stay below the hole and out of the rough. Layup on #8. After #6, scoring become really hard. Follow your caddies' advice. The group I played with both scored 90 and under because of the caddies. I shot 97 with my own advice (my index is 15).

Try to forget about the price and enjoy the day especially if you have perfect weather. Spyglass is a little easier especially on the wallet, but if you can afford Pebble once every 2 years, go for it! You'll never forget it.

1 Dozen logo balls, $91, that was shocking!

Play here every year in September. Course is in good shape, greens a little slow, but there is little trouble. Good par 3's, #8 and #13.

Pace of play is always good.

Played just after the aeration on 9/11 and 9/12. Had a tournament their on 9/12 and played a practice round. Greens were slow and sandy, but hopefully better now. Temps in the mid-80's, so the weather was perfect, no wind at all.

Fairways are very generous and the 10% altitude gave you an extra club distance (ie: 9 iron - 150 yards for me). The practice round showed me where the trouble was, so on tournament day I had the clubs exactly right.

Several holes, #1, and #5 do not require woods off the tee, just get to the striped poles and you are 150 yards in. The 2-par 3, #6 & #7 are just wedges, do not over club, even what you believe the yardage to be. Birdied #9 and #10 both days. #13 is too risky, just take your bogey and move on to the easier hols. #18 is the toughest hole for me, just doesn't suit my eye. You have to take a 9 or wedge to layup.

And won my flight with a gross 80. My personal best. Index 16.9.

Staff very courteous, this course is a good value. $50 with cart.

I play this course monthly and I am always surprise at how good the conditions are. Last week, the rain really soaked the course, but it was still quite playable and enjoyable. The 2nd hole just kills me, but some day I will play it well. Dogleg right with ob right and 2 ponds left. I have actually eagled the first hole and triple-bogeyed the 2nd.

Also #11, hit your driver left of the pond and you have an easy shot into the green.

Course is next to the 101 freeway, so noise on the front 9 is bad, but it is the only negative. Wind in the afternoon make it 5 strokes tougher. Some holes are pretty easy, but some are really tough. Always good service and awesome restaurant.

Thinking man's course, you have to play it many times to score. Can't wait to get back. Conditions excellent. No complaints. Greens smoothe and true.

Played on December 27, 2007 at Noon. The wind came up a little, but I still played well due to the conditions. Very wide fairways made it very pleasurable, yet 3 holes I took 7 and wound up with 85. I made several putts which I barely hit as my partners putted off the green. Great experience, especially in winter.
