A true desert Golf course. Well manicured tees and the fairway lie sections of desert and native grasses. There are bunkers on a number of the fairways, and it is not uncommon for the greens to be well-guarded as well.

The course is very well tended, marshals keep the traffic moving, and length of play is 4.5 to 5 hours.

For the average golfer it is important to choose a tee from which you are likely to be on the green as close to within regulation as possible.

The bunkers can be quite deep and the average golfer is advised to take the conservative shot rather than the most direct path out. The course rewards accuracy over distance.

However those who are challenged in both departments are advised to bring extra golf balls, for the rough is really tough when doing a search.

The golf carts come with a cooler, and a ball cleaner. Also, have a $1 beer going on for the length of summer, with marshals offering cold wet towels to use. There is also a nice driving range with plenty of balls and its use is included in the price of a round. Greens fees vary with the time of the year and the time of the day (during high season).

Also have a great restaurant and great customer service, and one of the best desert course in Arizona.

Last Weekend was really worth the trip for they were offering $45 for the round with a free sleeve of Titleist balls, and a free 2nd round in the afternoon, that you need to book same day, or go through 36 holes right away. Just register through their email specials and they have it all year round.

Played here last Saturday 02-16-13 and booked through Golfhub for a 1:00 tee time. When I got there, their system have us at around 1:15 instead. Played on their practice area where you can do some chipping and putting at the same time. Practice area is ok, but very close to the road about just a couple of yards away, where its a very busy street. And crazy golfers tries to chip and get their golf balls on the road. risky!!! Anyway, almost our time but i notice that there were no one announcing or even checking/looking for players for their time slots?? but we were just told to go over the 10th tee instead to start. There were NO SIGNS visible even to go to then 10th tee to begin with, but we got lucky and found our way there. When we got there, there were no marshalls or nobody to assist, and no one on the fairway. So we assumed it's ok to proceed for it's already our time. We teed off, then came another group wiuth the same time slot as we have??? We moved on for we already were out there and just a 3 some. Fairways are in bad shape, and all the greens were in the same condition. The layout of the course is really nice, and you can really use your Driver if your a big hitter and teast your skills to the max, if only it's well maintained. Not a lot of markers on the fairways as well to follow. For the price, it's not worth it, and I would rather play Legend At Arrowhead for the same price and a much better condition, with GPS included. I would never come back to this course again.

Just played this course last Tuesday 02-12-13, and there was a b it of a delay due to early morning frosting due to severe cold weather conditions here in AZ. I love this golf course still for it's a very long course and very challenging in most aspects. Long par 5's and challenging short and long par 3's. Greens are in good condition, but due to some golfers not fixing their divots, there are some greens a bit bumpy, but most were in good shape and have very good lay outs, with pin placements that really post some challenges. Be careful and watchful where you land for it could be tricky and you could loose a ball on the big rough and desert areas. Great customer service as always and very nice restaurant. I love the baby back ribs they have. Driving range is already included and you can practice as long as you want with unlimited range balls, before you tee off off course. All around very nice course to play.

Great course for someone just trying to learn the game! The driving range was average and you hit from the grass. This is an older course but just went through a major renovations, layouts and put better sand on bunkers. Its a very challenging golf course and not much of desert sand to play with, that could hurt and damage your club. But be careful and make sure you watch where your ball lands for it can get tough trying to find it when it landed on those thick grabbing golf ball grass, and you will definitely take time finding your lucky golf ball. There were some minor condition issues when we played (dry fairway areas and unraked traps), but the greens were excellent. The course is in good condition, great layout and the greens are also fast. The fairways are tight so that's the toughest part and biggest challenge. Long intriguing course. Definitely a true test of golf. Awesome staff as well.

This course is well worth what you'll pay to play, and you can get tee time discounts from Golfnow.com, or golfhub.com.
