Not the most challenging track but alway enjoyable and always a good deal. I go with my military friends - it's always crowded. I would recommend this course to others. Course is always in fine shape - not pristine, but decent. Staff and other players have always been very friendly.

I have a love/hate relationship with Coronado Golf Course. The course is fine - not challenging at all. i've seen guys spray it 2 fairways over and still make par. It is a good deal - I think the last time I played in November it was $35.... but gooooood luuckkkkkk getting a tee time. The lottery system to get a tee time is beyond stupid and reeks of favoritism. I had the starter tell someone in our group that they were required to hit from the whites because the blues were for professionals with a 0 handicap.... what an idiot. I stepped up and hit a 280 yard drive (from the blues) up the middle - that shut him up. Then the course ranger who drives around tries to pressure players to let regulars to play through. Wouldn't have it and told the ranger they could suck it. This is probably the busiest course in So Cal, so don't tell me you need to let another group play through - they can wait like every other person on the course. Snobs. I go as a single and try to walk on, but u definitely need to call first because they have an event every day.... I mean every... single... day. Play it once, get it out of your system, enjoy the less than challenging conditions and rude regulars.... it's awesome!

Price is fine for So Cal residents, but visitors get hit with hefty fees. These courses are not for the beginner. Walking is the best way to enjoy Torrey. Greens can be very quick! And it gets very crowded- going off as a single is the easiest way I have found. Torrey North and South are great tracks - good conditions and very scenic. Plus the history is evident on every hold. North is substantially shorter than South but is much more picturesque than the South.

Barona is a very nice course - challenging and always in great shape. The staff is very professional and the facilities are top notch. Definitely give this track a shot. Worth the money, too.

Not worth the money unless you can get of early on Golf Now or Golfzing.com. Staff is rude and short (in attitude as well as stature). 3 nines are in good shape, gps on carts is nice, but the course is not challenging at all.... boring. For the money, you can play alot of other local courses even cheaper than this one. I'm sure I will play it again when friends or visitors want to, but it won't be in my top choices.

I love this course - Play this and Torrey Pines regularly. Just recently renovated alot of the grounds so it is playing really nice right now - greens are very smooth and they are finally restricting carts in certain areas. If you're a San Diego resident, its a good deal. Very challenging course. I've heard more players say they are never coming back as it can really eat you up. Definitely requires smart club management and the ability to work the ball on certain holes. For a Municipal course, it is a great track. Short at under 6000 yards (blue) but doesn't feel long by the time you finish.

This is a great, cheap course, but it can be slow at times. Alot of senior men play and it does slow down play. Plus, it isn't the hardest of courses but it isn't the easiest either. A few very challenging holes - blind tee shots and sharp dog legs that really require good club management. You get more than you pay for here - if you complain about this course, you need to pack up the attitude and go somewhere else. The reason for its slow play is because it is cheap, in decent shape and gets alot of play - it wouldn't get alot of play if it wasn't a decent place to shoot. Walking the course can be a little long, but do-able. I would definitely give Mission Trails a shot before you let bad reviews sway your opinion. I've played Torrey South and it can be just as slow.
