Played on 4/14/19. Beautiful mountain course, weaves in and out of the trees nicely. Lots of elevation changes on nearly every hole. The course had only recently opened for the season, but was in very good condition. Greens were about average speed, in good shape as well. There are some very nice signature holes, 8, 10 and 18 come to mind. A little bit off the beaten path, but with a hotel and casino on property, who can go wrong (paid for my greens fees at the craps table).

Played on 7/15/18. Can't say much more about the course than the previous review. Certainly a very nice course, got the 1:00 PM rate for $60, well worth every penny. Should be a destination course if one happens to be in the area.

Played on 7/15/18. Beautiful old school course in the mountains of Oregon about an hour outside of Eugene. If there wasn't a sign at the entrance, you wouldn't even know there was a golf course there. Course was in terrific condition, layout fairly flat with the exception of the final three holes. Greens rolled well, medium speed. Not too many sand traps, but the ones they have are in good shape. Customer service was good, allowed us to take the cart out to car to load up. Was a very hot day for the area, pace was a bit slow, but nothing too dramatic. Quite a scenic drive up the mountains, well worth the time and effort to play there.

Played on 6/30/18. I have played this course before the renovation, and compared to now, all I can say is WOW. Before, the course was very rough, and don't even mention the "ditch" on the back side. Even though the layout is almost identical, there seems to be more room than before. Lots of subtle changes that made for a pleasant surprise. I had the misfortune of playing shortly after the greens were punched (that's what I get for not checking before booking!). Greens were long and furry, but still rolled fairly well. Rest of the course was almost pristine. If you hit the ball left to right, its not quite as punitive as before. Sure, there are nicer courses in the area, but you really get some bang for your buck on this one. Will play there again sooner than later, just have to wait until the temp drops below 110 again...

Played on 8/19/17. 7 am tee time for 40 bucks on Golfnow, sometimes its good to be local. Clearly my favorite course in the Las Vegas area, as always in perfect condition. Actually the greens were a bit slower than normal, but still pretty quick. Remember, the greens don't have as much break as it might look, generally pick a side of the cup and stay inside it, you will sink a lot of putts there. We started on 10, which I'd never done, kind of liked it that way, made the "front" side seem a bit easier. If you come to Vegas, you simply must play one of these courses.

Played on 2/15. As usual, everything was perfect with this course. Outstanding service, conditions of fairways and greens tip top shape. You must play one of the three courses here if you come to Vegas, only warning is the wind. It does get a bit breezy there, so if you don't like playing in the wind, stay closer to town.

Played on 10/25/2014. Wow, what a course. (I can see why you like it so much JohnnyGK) Quite a challenge for a semi-high handicapper such as myself. Greens were terrific, but all of the posts are true, don't be above the hole. I figured out the pace pretty quick, but my playing partners putted off the greens more than once. Fairways were a bit thin but acceptable. Lots of little tough spots for rough all over the course. Tee boxes needed some work. I will have to play there again just to putt on those greens, love the challenge.

Played on 10/26. Course in good shape overall, most greens were near perfect. Rolled to a medium fast speed, fairly true as well. Fairways a little thin, but acceptable. Rough was pretty high in spots, but again acceptable. Enjoyed the course, fair but still challenging. Would play there again...

Played on 10/11/14 as a single. As a local Vegas resident, there are certain amenities I have come to expect when I play a course, Palm Valley has very few of them. First off, no bag drop area, you have to schlub your clubs across the parking lot. Check in was accurate, but "just grab any of those carts and we'll call you to the tee". Much confusion about tee times, they had a ladies tournament go off early, then a Golf Channel Am Tour event later that day. I went out as a single, I got shuffled into three different tee times, and went off about 15 minutes late. Pace of play was interminable- 5-1/2 hours. Really wish people would tee it forward, whenever I have, I score better and have a lot more fun. The guys I would up with "wanted to get their money's worth" so played from the whites (6400 yds, while not overly long, their skill level was not up to those tees). As far as the course itself, was just out of overseed and was in good condition. I usually don't like the courses that are plopped down inbetween a bunch of houses, but the fairways here are plenty wide, and don't really come into play. Greens were tricky, a little slow, but rolled pretty well, also in good shape. Ran into the cart girl quite a bit, so one positive there about the customer service. I did like the course, but I guess I've been spoiled overall by the customer service here in Vegas, not sure I would go out of my way to play there again for that reason alone.

Played on 10/5/14. Course was just out of overseed, pleasantly surprised by the conditions. None of the usual cart path restrictions except on 2 holes. Greens were in very good condition. Medium fast and rolled pretty true. Fairways were a little thin, rough a little long, but that's wha you get with overseeding. Always nice to play at a place that feels like a golf course, not one plopped down amongst a bunch of houses. Plus, only paid 20 bucks thru golfnow.com!

Played on 4/15/2013. Greens were just coming out of aeration, so they were a little long and furry, gave you a chance to be a bit more aggressive than you normally can at Coyote Springs on greens that are smooth and fast. Everything else about the course was perfect. Thanks to the OB card, rates are very reasonable for local players. Easily the best course in the area, worth the extra few miles you have to drive to get there. Wish the golf carts were a little faster...

Played on 4/14/2013. Course was in pretty good shape, greens were firm and rolled medium speed. Fairways and rough in very good condition, sand traps the usual Vegas hard pack. Pace of play is always a bit on the slow side there, we were a foursome sandwiched between 2 twosomes. Always a good deal pricewise with the OB card.
