This is the second round I have played this week. Thanks to Johnny setting this up! As soon as I arrived at the course, the staff of the club was very nice and attentive. When I walked up to the club house, the view was just absolutely beautiful!!! The practice area is not that big and only four hitting area to warm up. Personally I think the warm up area is a downside when the place is packed on the weekends. The course set up is a little confusing on certain holes. You could be hitting into a green where is not the hole you are on! Make sure of which green you are hitting to. Fairways are pretty tight on some holes which makes it challenging, make sure your club selection is a smart one. Otherwise you will pay for it!
Overall, the experience is good and the course is just beautiful! It was worth every penny!

For a person who has a 10 handicap (around) and don't get out often, I usually pick a course which has a little challenge to it. Boy, did I picked a right one! As soon as I arrive the course, I was followed by one of their employee with a cart. And when I was getting ready to tee off, the starter came over and told us what to look for and how to play certain holes. That was the first time I was ever told how to play the course. And it really did make a difference! Besides all the nice staff on the course, the course itself was in excellent condition! Even though the course is in San Diego and also in the mountains, some of the holes even had the desert feel. Personally I thought it is amazing!
Being in San Diego, I get to play Torrey pines a lot of times. I think that it is way over rated! If I can pick between Torrey pines and maderas, I'll pick maderas any day of the week!!! And twice on the weekends!!!
