Played on Dec 20 finished < 4hours. The course had been soaked with three days of rainfalls so the greens weren't that fast but rolled true. Fairway and sand traps were in great conditions. Challenging course demands good tee shots. Paid $70 golfnow rate and it was worth every penny.

the condition is dead flat. greens are bumpy and slow (with lots of foot prints). fairway has many bare spots. rough is thin. the most terrible part is the pace and the ignorant golfers who think they own the course and can play through whenever they like. i once met two teenagers who just cut in between groups and hit tee shots (I've never see a marshal and I complained to the pro shop and they did nothing). It's not surprising arriving a tee with 2-3 groups waiting to tee off and everybody is slicing his tee shot 150 yards and still wait the par 5 green to clear to try to reach in two! 5 hour is minimum (that's actually a "fast" round).

The condition is great and the layout is lots of fun. Greens are fast but roll true, require some shot making to get close. Finished < 4.5 hour. The green fee is great for such a course in bay area. I am looking forward to come back and play again!

This course is so-so. Greens, fairway, roughs are all so-so. Front 9 is flat, back 9 is more interesting. The biggest complaint is the weekend slow-to-hell pace and ignorant beginners here.

Played here once. Course is empty. The front 9 is much easier than back 9. The condition is great and lots of hole requires good strategy based on your capabilities. Shot 86 for first round and I am happy.

I played here on Friday twilight many times. It's a flat course and wind and firm green (and gee craps) are the major challenges. I have difficulty stopping the ball beyond 9 iron. The green is okay but slow. The fairway is so-so and fills up with gee craps and bare spots. Roughs are good. For $25 twilight, I can't complain and in general I have fun with this course.

Played on last saturday right after tournament. Can't complain the pace. Greens roll well. Some bunkers are wet/muddy and some are very dry ... not eady to judge the amount of sand to take. Always a tough course to beat and I will come back to par No. 16 again!

The best part of Tilden park GC is its scenary and fresh mountain air. Great for getting away from bay area buzz. The overall quality is just ok because when I played it was very foggy and soaked. Not many players so we didn't hit any traffic. Some par 4 are relatively short and straight. I would come again but definetely on a sunny day.

I read the ratings in GK so I decide to give a try. The overal condition is good except very thin rough. The front nine is packed but back nine is more spread out and scenary. The bigest problem I had today is the pace. There were four beginners in front of us hacking their balls 50 yards everytime (yeah and they get on the carts and ride that 50 yards), took us 5 hour and half to finish ..... People should know the basic etiquette. The ranger never showed up. Two groups behind us just gave up after hole 15. Such a pace of play is going to scare away any visitors, including me.

Play on June 11. Course is in great condition. Greens roll nicely although they do not break as much as I read it. Pace is good too (<4hr). Always fun to play on weekdays here when course is less crowded.

The scenary and the course layout compensates the muni so-so condition. First 9 demands more accurate tee shots. Worth the money (for a local) :-)

nice mountainous course. some hole are blind spots. the only bad thing is the beat up tee boxes. the rest are in very good condition. would play again.
