Delaveaga Golf Course, June 1717
Saturday June 17, 2017 11:02pm

Played Delaveaga Golf Course in Santa Cruz today and what a nice day it was! It has been at least 20 years since I last played here with my dear friend John Leslie and it took me a while to acclimate to the narrow fairways. Today we had a threesome of me and friends Tom Lis and Guy Canha. We teed off around 935am and the weather was up to 85 by time we were done with some breeze now and then. We played from the white tee box that is about 5700yards but plenty challenging with a 129 slope rating. The course was in good condition, green, good greens, and often tight with lots of slopes, hillsides and level changes. Anyways I played ok! Not great, shooting a 93 and posting a 89. Hole number 10 was a crazy hole, number 1 handicap hole, and with 2 penalty strokes I managed to shoot a 10... OUCH!!! Had some fun shotes. FUN COURSE, YOU DEFINITELY NEED TO STRAGHT! Finished round in 5hrs. THEY ARE GOING TO start renovating bathrooms and restaraunt June 26,2017. They have grille ouside that is a blast and worth stopping by after the round and chill. All in all, it is a fun course, I had blast with friends and i'd defiantly recommend you play this challenging course! I know I will! I am a 14 handicap and would love to play with others.
