Grew up in Southern California. Have a friend who works for the PGA and usually played monthly on most of the courses, private and public, from lower Orange Country to Santa Barbara including Palm Springs and Hawaii. Yep, lived the dream! 86 through 92 played to a low 9, but ....... now a happy 14 and just glad I can still swing the club.
Moved to Aiken, South Carolina 3 years ago and have had my eyes opened. Generally better players, way cheaper rates and usually much nicer courses; probably the rain but still nicer.
