"The game of golf is a game of accepting failure; of accepting imperfection; of realizing that the perfect game has never been played, never will be played or ever could be played."

I am an avid golfer that is just getting back into playing regularly. In 2012, I started chasing a CRAZY goal to drop my handicap from 14.2 to try and qualify for the 2015 US Open in my own backyard at Chambers Bay. This will be the toughest thing I have ever done sports wise. From workouts, to running, to hitting the range and putting greens multiple times a week, to hitting the links, I am putting in the time to work on my game. I have reconstructed my swing as well. You guys may think I am crazy ( I do a little bit too) but that is okay, I am a golfer chasing a dream!
I may not make it, but it will not be because I did not try. So many times in my life I wondered what might have been if I continued playing baseball or football or guitar, etc. This is my chance to find out with golf. I could always use the encouragement from fellow golfers, especially those better than I.

This is a solid little course. It is a lot more difficult than in may seem. Being right on the coast, there is always a bit of a wind, one to two clubs with or against. There are a bunch of little rolling hills and bumps around the course so if you are off the fairway, you will have some sort of uneven lie. The fairways were cut pretty nicely but not too short since it is still early in the season. The greens were in great shape. Putts roll smooth and straight which are always a help to scoring. There were just a couple of soft spots due to the amount of rain the Oregon coast has had lately.
Play for $35 in the off season. $75 in the summer for an early tee time and $35 in the afternoon.» Close
