Bunkers were hit and miss, some good, some bad. Course overall a lot better shape than most Orange County Courses and a lot less crowded. Played Newport last week and it was so bad I didn't want to write a review. Happy Fathers Day to all » Close Thank you Indian Hills for punching the greens this morning. Teed off at 7 and it took 5 hours on a Thursday? Ridiculous, the SCGA needs to get out there and explain to them how to get the snails moving. Most of the waiting was on groups just BS'ng on the greens and playing from the blues when they should not have even been on a golf course and of course there is no marshal at all. Maybe I'll be back if I read where they have improved pace of play but I doubt they will as they seem to have no clue how to correct it. » Close went out early this morning and had a nice time. Starter was friendly and he grouped me up with a threesome and we all had a good time. Course is in nice condition, just stay out of the bunkers or be prepared to add at least 2 strokes to your score. Nothing but hard dirt and no way to use the proper sand method, you have to try and punch it out. » Close Played Thursday and course is in good shape. I was in 2 bunkers and both had sand. The greens held good shots and even a couple spun back a little. Had nice lies when in the fairway and the rough is just long enough to cause small problems. I wish more courses would keep the rough at 1-3 inches as longer rough slows down play. We were a foursome and finished just under 4 hours. » Close
