Built in 1958, ‘Muni’ offers a challenging championship 18-hole, 6,037 yard course offering exceptional value golf. It is a wonderful place to meet and socialize with friends, family or business contacts.

Golf Shop

Santa Barbara Golf Club offers a full-service Pro Shop for you to find that new driver, get advice and assistance from the experts, sign up for golf lessons, or find the perfect SBGC-branded golf clothing.

“The one attraction of golf is that it can be played by any age and any generation. That is the beauty of our game,” said Chris Talerico, Director of Golf.

Mulligan’s Bar and Cafe

Mario and Lani Medina have owned and operated Mulligans Cafe & Bar since December 1993. The restaurant business has alway been their passion – they even met while working at a restaurant.

“It’s been a very enjoyable 23 years,” said Mario Medina, Owner of Mulligan’s Bar.

Mulligan’s Bar and Café has a capacity of 200 making it perfect for a large event or a bite to eat with friends.

Youth Programs

We take great pride in providing an excellent venue to learn and play golf and have numerous youth programs targeted at growing the game of golf.

“Coming out and enjoying an evening with your kids is probably one of the most enjoyable things that parents and kids can do together. To me, that’s where the heart of golf is.” Bryant Henson, Golf Marshall

Guppy Golf Classes

Guppy Golf introduces our youngest juniors to the fun and fundamentals of golf. Guppy Golf utilizes the principle of C.H.I.P. Life Skills. (C = Compliments, H = Helpfulness, I = Introductions, P = Patience)

The goal of Guppy Golf is to help enhance participants lives by providing a fun environment to experience the outdoors, exercise, and social skills the game of golf inherently provides.

All equipment is provided on site with lots of fun activity stations.

First Tee Program

The First Tee Santa Barbara is a youth golf program for boys and girls ages 7 to 17, and provides introductory, intermediate, and advanced golf instruction for junior golfers.

The First Tee goal is to provide golf instruction coupled with life skills, which make up our 9-core values. We introduce one core value at each of our 9 weekly sessions.

Junior golf instruction consists of a variety of activities, which include putting, chipping, and full swing practice at the Santa Barbara Golf Club driving range and practice facility. Actual practice on the golf course is also provided as part of the program.

Russ Morrison Jr. Golf Program

Golf practice and theory open to all levels of experience. Supervised course play is included for advanced participants.

The goals of the Russ Morrison Jr. Golf Program is to encourage kids to enjoy and learn about golf in a loosely structured and supportive environment.

PGA Junior League

PGA Junior League Golf (PGA JLG) is designed to better socialize the game for boys and girls, ages 13 and under. PGA JLG features team vs. team competitions in structured leagues that provide a popular, less stressful scramble format as opposed to stroke-play competition. This is a great way to get kids involved in the game!d

“The idea behind these junior programs is to introduce kids to golf and make it fun. We give them a chance to have their own fascination and learn to see what they like about golf. When you take a swing and you can hit a golf ball for the first time and it flies out in the air, it’s a great feeling,” said Pete Lamantia, Youth Programs Coordinator

Santa Barbara Men’s Golf Club

The Santa Barbara Men’s Golf Club is 300 members strong and plays tournaments every third Sunday and the previous Monday at the beautiful Santa Barbara Golf Club.

They also offer special events including:

“It doesn’t matter what the weather’s like, where we’re playing, how I’m playing, it’s a great group and to get into that kind of group which makes golf interesting,” said Dominic Namnath, Golf Advisory Committee Chair.

Santa Barbara Women’s Golf Club

The women play every Wednesday at 9 am. Tee times are posted in the breezeway and on the web site. Membership in the women’s club includes Pub Links membership an IDC handicap number, assured tee time on Wednesday, provided that you sign up in advance.
