Played Marshall today, T-time was 1220 arrived 10 minutes late and tee'd up right away at 1230. 3 1/2 hour round was so pleasant to have, particularly since I complain so bitterly about the slow play at San Dimas Canyon, down the street. Unfortunately that is the only favorable comparison I would give to Marshall over San Dimas, conditions are so much better at San Dimas.
Green's were bumpy, on downhill slow putts, I saw my ball slowly zig-zag to the hole. I don't remember this being a problem, when last played about 6 weeks ago. Greens border on unfair, but knowing they are difficult, helps before playing and are expected.
Fairways are bumpy and I was in two drainage ditches on my drives. Players get relief at nearest estimate of entry.
There were at least 2 dozen deer out here, almost always are.
Overall, a decent round of golf, very enjoyable, if you find the right deal.
