Got my first hole-in-one on #13. It took 45 years of playing this game to finely get one. Rancho San Joaquin just completed refurbishing their driving range and training facility and it’s great. Th... Continue »

Teed off at 9:30, finished a little over 5 hours later. Course is in OK shape with lots of wet areas on and off fairways. Fairways are rock hard and thin in some places. Greens are recovering from ... Continue »

Topic: 1/2 Green Aerification

Thank you very much for further explaining this! As you might be aware of, as long as a golf course separates the 1/2 green aeration by at least 2 weeks, a golf course does not receive a RED alert status. I am the assistant superintendent at the vineyard at escondido and we as well do the half greens aerification. It is indeed at least a southern california policy. Every course in San Diego does half of their greens with two weeks in between to heal. It is the most golfer friendly way of doing it. An...

Short par 4 with trouble all down the right side. Longer hitters can hit over the two large trees left of the fairway to cut the corner (with a three wood or driver) easily leaving less than 100 yards in. Any others can his 200 straight out from the tee leaving less than 150 to the green. Anything right off the tee is dead/OB into a drainage canal or maintenance yard.

Short par 4, from 280 to 300 depending on the tees. Aim for the left side of the fairway, it will leave you a short approach shot with no bunkers in your line. There are 2 large bunkers, one in fron of the green guarding the right side of the green and another bunker just right of the green.
