Mid morning 4.5 hour round on a ninety degree day. The staff is always friendly and helpful and the carts are comfortable but lack GPS. The tee boxes were all level and trimmed but a few were slightly firm for getting a tee in the ground. The rough was in good condition and trimmed at an appropriate length. The rough would slow down wayward shots and you could find it and actually hit from it fairly easily. The fairways were all in great condition with lots of roll if you kept it down the middle. The fairways grass was cut at the perfect length and had great coverage from start to finish. There were few divots and the course was being watered to keep it soft and green. The traps in the fairways are still hard and brown but easy enough to hit from it you weren't near a lip. The green side traps have nice white sand and are well maintained. Hitting from those bunkers was nice but some were slightly damp. The greens are in the best condition I've ever seen them in over the thirty years of play here. They have total coverage on every hole and hold shots well. They were fairly quick especially with the warm dry weather recently. The ground crew was watering a few during our round to kept them from drying out. There was not the usual spongy feel to them. The greens are very similar to TCI and Cross Creek now which is great. The elevation changes and water features make this a somewhat challenging course. The rates are very reasonable for the area and it continues to draw a good amount of play. Definitely recommended now that they no longer are using the criminal Golf now app to book tee times. No longer are you paying them to book a tee time. We saw something today I've never seen before on a course. Waiting to hit from the eleventh tee a red hawk had a mud duck in its grasp and a couple of the geese chased the red hawk off the mud duck who scampered back into the pond. Didn't know the geese ran the course but evidently they do!

Early Thursday morning round as a twosome in slightly over four hours. The booking process is frustrating as you get different stories each time you book as to whether you're able to book through the course or having to use their online site which shows up as the hated golf now on your credit card. The staff is friendly and do a good job. The carts are holding up but more and more lack GPS which is actually not very accurate. The tee boxes were all in good shape with plenty of turf and few broken tees. The rough really doesn't exist except on a few holes in sections where you shouldn't be. There are a few forced carries which adds to the difficulty. The fairways were in good condition with a few having sections of some sort of weed that grows on a few holes. Lies were good for the most part with adequate turf on all holes. The traps are in excellent shape with plenty of mostly white sand. The sand in a couple of holes was very damp and you will find the fairway bunkers in the worst condition of those on the course. The greens hand total coverage from first to last and rolled well. The greens were quick but slightly slower than usual. There were more ball marks in need of repair than usual but a divot tool took care of them. The rates are reasonable compared with other local courses and they do give seniors a weekday break. The course is one of the few in the valley without maintenance going on which is nice. Great views and easy to recommend.

Early morning 4.5 hour round. The staff is always on point and practice facilities always busy. They do have carts with GPS that is not real accurate. If you want to drive your cart where you need to get take a cart without the GPS. Tee boxes were all a little shaggy, dry and beat. Many were littered with broken tees. I've even noticed many plastic tees being left after their use? The rough is not very thick or long where it exists and easy enough to hit from. The fairways have always been a mix of grasses but they are usually in good condition. The fairway lies were good but at times you may find a thin dry section. The traps are really in great shape around the greens with ample nice sand and well groomed. Fairway bunkers are where you will find brown compact sand/dirt with pebbles/rocks. The greens were very receptive to approach shots and held good without much roll out. All of the greens have complete coverage but the heat is starting to take its toll on a couple of them with funky sections of brown ripply spots. The greens are back to their usual quickness with few ball marks and unseen breaks. The crews have cleaned up scrub in places which allows those golfers who find themselves in them to locate their balls. That has resulted in a better place of play and the course marshal is usually out too. The rates are acceptable on the weekends and better during the week. Always a challenging course and enjoyable to play.

Early 3.5 hour round on a nice warm day. Staff is friendly and good at their tasks. Carts come with or without GPS. The yardage provided though by the GPS is not real accurate. The tee boxes were in need of maintenance as many were thin, shaggy and littered with broken tees. They are all level but a few are really full of divots. The rough is about the perfect length to slow down off line shots and easy enough to hit from. Fairways all have total coverage with mostly nice lies to hit from. The back nine had several fairways that has been plugged in the last day or so with the plugs laying everywhere. Those fairways did need the maintenance and should be great in a couple of weeks. The traps are in real nice groomed shape with most being the nice white sand and all had been raked. You will find fairway bunkers that are firm with a darker brown sand and dg mix. The greens were great with only a couple that had a spot or two with brown spots. The greens held shots nicely and were quicker than expected. The large size of most greens is an advantage to those who can roll the ball well. There were very few ball marks and divot mix on the carts with containers on a few holes to refill them. The forced carries and water features are found on many holes with a mostly flat layout. The course conditions, location, rates and pace of play on weekdays make an enjoyable round.

Played in a high school fundraiser tournament Friday morning in a slow 5.5 hour round. The staff and volunteers did a very good job running the outing. The carts continue to stay in good condition and the staff is always busy. The tee boxes were all in nice condition with good coverage. The rough was the right length to assist wayward shots and a good stroke could be put on your ball if you found yourself in it. The fairways had nice total coverage with a mix of turf but good lies were found on most holes. The traps all have a good amount of sand green side but fairway traps hard and compact. Most traps are filled with nice fluffy white sand and easy enough to hit from. The greens were in fabulous shape with very few ball marks and all had total coverage. The speed of the greens are almost back to their usual quickness and rolling very true. Well struck shots held the greens nicely with little roll out. There are many places to find trouble during a round here and great views from a few holes. Definitely recommended with the reasonable rate and great conditions.

Early morning Sunday 4.5 hour round. The staff was short the starter but getting out early wasn't an issue. Trying to book a weekend tee time is an issue now since they've started requiring golfers to use their booking partner (The criminal Golf Now). The carts are in good shape with some having GPS and others not. Some of the tee boxes were thin but all level. The rough is playable where there is some. Many of the holes have thin to no rough which was not an issue. The fairways are in very good condition with great lies from start to finish. Many of the fairways have a mix of dormant to semi dormant Bermuda and other types of grass. The bunkers are are a mix with most being in really good condition. They were all groomed nicely and most had nice white sand. The fairway bunkers were the only issue with compact thin brown sand and a few pebbles. The greens were really nice and extremely quick from start to finish. The front nine greens were a little bumpy with the aeration still visible. The back nine greens were near perfect. The greens had very few ball marks and quickened as the round progressed. The rack rates are still reasonable in comparison to other local courses. That had become an issue with ALL the local valley courses raising their rates ridiculously. Recommended

Early 4.5 hour round on a surprisingly open course. The staff is friendly and the carts are good but now lack gps. The tee boxes were all level with good coverage but needed to be cut. The rough appears to be changing over to the dreaded kikuyu. The holes where it is present were somewhat dried out from the recent warmer weather. Playing from it was not too difficult in the fairways but green side was another story. The dry Kikuyu was thin around the greens and really hard to play from on touch shots for our group. The traps on most holes have been filled with nice white sand which was fairly compact and easy enough to hit from. The greens were not what you usually find either. The first few greens were bumpy and felt like the top inch or so was floating off the sand underneath? Really weird. As the round progressed the greens returned to almost normal but were slightly slower than the usual quick greens you find. Near the end of the round the greens had what appeared to be worm holes in places that resembled small tine marks, which they were not? Strange condition for the greens which are usually firm and quick. The course continues to provide a good test for golfers at a fair rate.

Played last week, course much better shape than when we played it in June. Lots of fun holes, maybe plays a little long from White Tees. As this was the day before Thanksgiving course was really booked up but we still finished in 4 hours 20 minutes, starting at 11:30. Fairway lies good, greens a good quick speed. Bunkers, what can you say a public course some very nice around greens, fairway bunkers as bad as everywhere (when they going to learn to fill in bunkers with sod, knock down any lips and make most fairway bunkers grass bunkers make them playable for everyone and speed up play). Some, not all, green-side bunkers were the soft deep white sand which takes, well a real bunker shot to get out. Will go back again as it was a challenge and fun to play.

Early Sunday morning 4.5 hour round in the showers. The staff is friendly and very efficient at what they do. The tee boxes were all in good condition with the par three holes showing a little wear. You will find a few different types of grass and weeds on any of the tee boxes. The rough has retreated some but once you find your ball you can put a fairly good stroke on it. The fairways are continuing to fill in with the warmer weather and remain green with less than average roll due to their dampness. The traps on most of the holes that surround the greens now have ample nice white sand but are starting to look a like shaggy around the edges. The fairway traps are still compact dirt with pebbles and rocks. Greens remain the best conditioned part of the course with all having complete coverage. The greens are rather large on most of the course and fairly soft compared to years past. The speed of the greens were slowed by the continued morning showers but rolled true. They also held shots very well checking up and backing up on well struck shots. The 4.5 hour round seemed slow but there was a group ahead that had two holes open and was holding up PLAY. We did tell the marshal when he came by on the tenth hole but obviously nothing was done. Weekend rounds can be painfully slow at this course but I shouldn't complain about a 4.5 hour round. Recommended
