1/8/26 Thursday morning 10:30 walk-on. Was hoping to find a hidden gem.....instead got a 18 hole mole hill/gopher hole mine field dodge! Should have known from lack of cars in the parking lot something was off. These are not fairways just a mowed down variety of weeds. Absolutely FLAT 18 hole track, maybe 1 bunker per hole ( sand is very good, fluffy even!), Lakes on 9 holes but only came into play 1-2 times. Greens are in good condition actually, rolling fast with very reasonable slope all very small targets. Carts in good condition w/newer GPS, club dip w/ball washer and cooler mounted on carts! Cleat cleaner and ice maker soon? Even though the golf disappointed, you gotta see the new shipping container turned bar/snackbar/ range ball dispenser setup! 6700 yds. played by myself in under 4hrs.Bring ur kidney belt.

Wow! this course is in terrible condition. The rain didn't help with some of the flooding so we can pass on that complaint.

Tee boxes were shabby at best. Bunkers were terrible and not raked just wet packed sand.

Fairways were kinda typical bad so that wasn't new.

The greens there a couple of years ago were gems. We played there a lot a couple of years ago because the greens were so good it offset the conditions but the greens are terrible and they shrunk them. The green size is like Whittier.

POP was ok just a little over 4 and change to walk.

This course and General Old are two of the worst condition courses I've played this year.

Skip this place and hit the range and enjoy the mountain view.

Course could be a real keeper but the last year has turned into a goat pasture. They brought in a new management group and invested in the driving range very nice and newer carts. Problem is its bone dry and until they get the water issue in place will be horrible playing conditions. They are building the new Dodgers farm club across the street so have to imagine once the stadium is completed will invest in course. For now its painful.

This is an old school course with some of the smallest greens I have seen in years (and they were just aerated). The course unfortunately sits across the street from a LARGE dairy farm. And yes it stinks. And there are flys all over the course. I would not recommend this place unless one is desperate and has no other place to play. Yes the workers are nice and the price of $27 with cart is great for a Sun. I am not going to go any further with this review. I would not play here again

Staff was friendly and on time, I thought of this course fron years ago that it was what I call a dog track.

Although there are parts that need attention, I was pleasantly met with almost perfect greens, and boy are they small. They rolled and looked very nice.

The tee boxes were really nice also , with some un-level spots. I have seen a lot worse.

I was only in one bunker that had wet sand in it, but for the most part they are raked and had good coverage.

Fairways were the best I've seen here for sure. Near the end of our round though they had sprinklers going in the middle of the fairways. I thought it was a nuisance, but it also showed why the course has turned around in greenery throughout the playing areas.

The course is forgiving off the tee, with some challenging par threes. Like I said the greens here are tiny. Pretty flat too. Overall I enjoyed the conditions . The price was very good.

Grass range was nice to hit off of, but the landing area was sketchy.

Not beverage service but the clubhouse has a nice patio area to relax in after the round.
That is if you can get used to the cow smells in the vacinity across the street.

Good value here and good conditions on a so so layout. I would play here again.

First time playing this course in approx: 15 years. Played here in a tournament.

Looking for some place to play early, which was inexpensive and walkable. Whispering Lakes came to mind. Since it had been a while since I last played here, I figured why not. Arrived at the course well before 6am and it was already crowded. Had to do a whole bunch of negotiations with the starter to get me out before the regulars, but thankfully, the first group indicated it would not be a problem if I went out alone first. Thanks !

I never have high expectations when I play here, and today was no different. The greens were nice. Decent speed, receptive and rolled true. Greenside bunkers were well maintained, but very thin layer of sand. The rest of the course is not good. Fairways have some areas with grass, but lots of bare spots. Tee boxes were awful. Not level, bare areas, heavy divot damage.

I could complain about conditions, but for $16, it's tough to b$tch too much. Hey it's golf in the middle of winter so can't be too unhappy. (I could still be living in Chicago)

Headed out to play Whispering Lakes this morning. Few guys from the shop wanted to play this place as it is never in any play rotation. I haven't played here since the 90's so the clubhouse being gone and the flipped 9's was new.

Man, this place. Yes its inexpensive, however, hmmmm.

The course was patchy in spots but they are watering it like crazy. Lots of maintenance guys doing their thing. Some of the tee boxes were pretty raunchy, like I was a little surprised. Like, they just dropped the tee markers anywhere. On hole 12 I was like d%mn ! this is considered the rough in most spots and it was a tee box.

The traps were all wet, all 3 I was in and all my friends were in. Just like that am cement style from the sprinklers. They do water this course.

The greens were slow but a lot better than some of the other 35/40 dollar places you'll play locally. Santa Anita being one. The greens are small and flat so its a peaceful putting round without getting into too much trouble. They were seeding some of the greens on the back when we were out there as well.

Pace of play was ok, it was a little busy out. Great value for 24 bucks to walk.
