Came to get one last round in before they shut the doors. This isn't and never was what I would call a "destination" golf course (a course you would go out of your way to travel too), but is (was?) a ... Continue »

Go play this course one last time before it closes next Tuesday. It's an interesting layout and greens are great right now. Sad to see it or any course close. I always think that it's someone's favori... Continue »

Difficult hole. The short distance can be misleading. Everything off the tee rolls right and long-ball hitters start bringing a tree into play at about 280 yds. An errant shot right, long into the 6th fairfay gives you a nice angle into the nastiest green on the course. The green is uphill, so club up for teh approach and be conscious of the severe front-sloping green and don't leave yourself a downhill putt here, plan on adding 3 strokes to your score for a bad leave. Tough hole 5 hdcp is understating its brutality!

Best advise here is use the same club off the tee here as you expect to use on #4 (200-215 yds Par 3) and call it practice. 200 yds on 3, positioned right of center and short of that bunker right will give you the perfect angle to the green and into the slope. Favor longer into the green instead of on-target as the slope will bring you right down to the front and you will have a whole lot of putt left for birdie. Great hole!
