Teed off at 7:20 this morning and the pace was fantastic. Played in 4 hours exactly but unfortunately the group behind us was 2 holes behind so those any group after us had longer rounds (sorry we did our part). One thing that was surprising was when I played a couple of weeks ago the greens were very very good but now they seem have some fungus on them. I'd say the good majority did have this fungus in some fashion, some more than others. Now I believe the pins were in areas where this fungus was not growing but I'm not good enough to hit pinpoint shots to pins. I really don't think the greens were all that bumpy but they were a little slow for my taste. They certainly got quicker as the round went on but my preference would be a tad faster. Fairways were in great shape, saw lots of filled in divots and a few unrepaired ones. I was in a couple of bunkers and they were ok, wish someone would have raked their footprint and divot since I landed in one. Not the thickest rough I've seen but there were some areas that were a little difficult to negotiate. Didn't feel too bad about paying the resident rate, non-resident rate probably not worth it right now.
