Played in the Men's Club event today. I was surprised and glad to see that the course has come back from maintenance last month, and was in great shape!

The greens have healed from punching and we... Continue »

Looks like they put in a bunch of new sod between the tee boxes to the green (where the old revine used to be). Doesn't really affect play unless you come up woefully short (like I did on Sunday).

So the non-resident rate gonna be even crazier too then. Hey, if a SD resident sets up a tee time with 3 non residents, can they all get in for the resident rate if the resident pays for all 4?

If you are in the back Bunker with a bad lie and the pin is in the middle front saddle of the green I would give strong consideration to playing away to the long side of the green even if it is away from the flagstick. It might leave a 50+ foot putt or even a chip out of the collar, but that is considerably better than rolling it 40 or 50 yards back down the slope in front of the green. It is very easy to do that. Everything slopes that way except a sideways shot out of the bunker. Especialy with a buried lay, or a down hill lay in the back of the bunker.

If you lay up or are playing in from 150 yards in there is a slight (very subtle)slope to the fairway. Keep that in mind or you are likely to hit it shot a little thick for right handers or thin for the lefties.
