Having not played here in quite some time it was nice to see the changes made to a couple of holes. Two par four have been lengthened to par fives making the course par 72. The greens will need some time to mature, but glad to see something done to improve the place.

Not much to add since the last review by kpossibly one month ago. Hey, it's a muni, what can you say? Fairways are "just OK"...rough is pretty deep and like hitting out of lettuce. Greens are quite nice...but slow!! Can a green actually "stimp out" at "zero" ?? Be ready to whack a long putt to get it close to the hole. Just a day of muni-golf...still better than working.

Oh...the "sand-traps"? Like damp, fresh-poured cement. Not a lot of "fluff" to 'em.

Played Wednesday, 9/3/08. 4.0-hour round, well-spaced, fair pace. Walked-on as a threesome at 6:45 AM - we were golfing at 7:00.

Played 8/4 in early morning. Greens are slow but in good shape. Fairways look and had just been cut. Rough was long and kept us honest. Par 5 Hole #3 is under repair...has a decent temp green, but is now a short par 4. It was hot so we rented a cart. Green fees and a $24 cart make this nearly a $50 round at a muni on a Monday. Played 18 in just under 4 hours.

The course was not in good shape. The fairways were pretty mushy and you couldn't bounce a ball onto the green. The greens were pretty bad too. Some were smooth and had some pace and others looked like a shag carpet. The #3 green was closed. You had to play to the alternate green. Which you had no idea about until you reached the hole. I would rather play Encino than Balboa after this.

Squeezed in 13 after work on the 28th and #3 was playing to the old alternate green on the right.Could be the new green wasn't quite ready for the traffic it received. There were no posted signs, so just notice that there are construction signs and rope about where the old green was.The rest of the course was in really good shape.

Played Saturday morning. Started with rain but it stopped before the back 9. Overall course is in good condition. Tee boxes were okay. Fairways were nice. Roughs were okay, Some bare spots. Traps were hard, but I blame the weather. Greens were nice. Slow due to rain but they were rolling. Nice Par 5 additions. Though the second new par 5's green needed more work. We were able to finish within 4.5 hours, even behind a slow 3some. Overall, happy we braved the rain in the beginning and got to play this course.

Played Sat. 5/24 (just a bit of rain). Course was in good shape. Fairways fairly lush and green, rough a bit heavy in spots. The 2 new par 5's are filling in nicely. Greens have recovered from the aeriation's, although a bit slow in the wet conditions for the day. We tee'd off about 20 mins later then our tee time and finished in 4.5 hrs. Was a fun play - was joined by fellow GK'er mcclejm, and hit my first hole in one on the 13th hole.

Been playing here for YEARS. now with the new course changes - this course plays much different. They extended the par 4 3rd to a par 5 and did the same with the 'old' very long #12 par 4. now #12 plays to a par5 and is still tough. it has a great green that is reverse saddled green - everthing bowls to the middle. great for green attempts on second shots. also the change to #3 makes #4 feel different. for those of you who know...#4 is a long'ish par 3 (+190yards (w)). but now, the walk up to #4 is from a different angle due to the extension of #3. so the hole has a different feel to it.

all in all, i loved the changes that were made. i used to rank this course 3rd out of the Woodley Lakes/Encino/Balboa combo (all within 1 mile of each other). but now, Balboa has moved up to 1st (now that it's a par 72). Woodley is a very close 2nd and Encino 3rd.

As far as the "range" goes... it blows. not as in windy, as in it sucks. the matts are horible, the range is dirt and the balls are so/so. So, that said if you're looking for a practice session...go to Woodley. Grass range there and better for practice.

Played Sat 4/5 - 4 temp greens, Ariation was 3 weeks ago, does not look like greens have been rolled since, very bumpy and hard to putt. 2 Par 5's have been added, 1 is decent, 1 is very nice. Very slow paced play, but the price is right.

Played this afternoon.. Tee boxes in good shape although they change #3 to a Par 5.. Some of the fairways were more lush than I'm used to, I guess its that time of year.. The front 9 greens were rolling well, and quicker than normal. But the back 9 greens were thick and slow, really soft. But you can't complain when you finish in 4 hours and it only costs $24!!

Balboa is not in great shape right now even considering the winter conditions. The greens have grass at least but are quite slow. The tee boxes, fairways, and rough are very inconsistent, divot-laden, and thin. The new par 5's are open, #3 and 12, and they seem to be decent additions. The new greens have more contour than the other 16, but not so much that they are out of place. I'm not sure what course management's obsession with par 72 is, but in this case, the holes they replaced were not especially memorable. Balboa should actually play easier in relation to par with the new additions.

I don't play much "muni" golf. Now I remember why. A very mediocre experience. The fairways are spotty at best when it comes to coverage. Oh...the greens were pretty good. Other than that....ugh.

Played on Jan 20. 2nd group out. Very cold about 38* when we teed off. Be aware that there have been frost delays for the last 3 days. First group did not go out until 7:30. The fairways are pretty beat up, but with the cold weather what can you expect. The greens however are the best I've think I've ever seen there. Very smooth and pretty fast. They have not completely finished the changes to the course (going from a par 70 to a par 72) but they're getting there. Overall not great but not bad either. Dress warm if going out early!!

Played on Christmas day with miguelgolf2007, his friend Ron, and a walk-on, Lawrence. This was my first time playing here since they lengthened two holes to bring the course up to par 72 (now 37-35) from par 70. Unfortunately, the scorecards and yardage markers for the two holes have not been updated yet to match the course, and the holes are still under construction. My Skycaddie also still has the old info. The weather was windy and cold and there were fallen leaves and branches everywhere. So much so that it was difficult finding a golf ball, even in the fairway.

The greens and tee boxes were in very good shape, the fairways so-so. The new greens for holes #3 and #12 were pristine.

Hole #3 used to be a boring short par 4, not it's a really nice short par 5. I reached the green in two - into the wind. Too bad I missed my 10 foot eagle putt (I wasn't even close), then missed the birdie too. Oh well....I suck.

Hole #12 I reached the green in regulation - but oops - wrong green. I'm glad they made this into a par 5, because it used to be a monster par 4.

Anyway...a fun day...but the wind made scoring difficult.

Played on Sunday December 2nd, 7:36 tee time.
It was quite chilly in the morning due to a winter storm that had passed through 48 hours before. There was frost on the course but not severe enough for tee times to be delayed. With the rain from the day before there were some soggy patches in a few fairways, I'd give the fairways about a 6 out of 10. The greens were in excellent shape (compared to many of the other times I've played here) rolling true and picking up speed as the morning went on.
Pace was really good due to the early tee time. The group in front of us were about a half hole pace ahead of us and the group behind was nowhere to be seen after the par 5 5th.
Please keep in mind that they are still in the process of converting the third hole into a par 5...it's currently playing with a temp green at 127 yards. It's coming along slowly but I think that it will be one of the nicest par 5s in the city once it's finished. The green will be well protected with overhanging trees upon the approach and two greenside bunkers - one front right and one left of the green. They also have extended the par 4 12th to a par 5. The old green is still in place and the yardage marking are to the old green, so be careful upon approaching this green. With the shortened hole 3 (par 3) and lengthened hole 12 (par 5) your scorecard will balance at the end of the day.
In the end, it was a nice round. Chilly at the beginning but warming sooner than expected.

I was hoping that the two news holes would be open, but as it turned out, only #12 was open. This is a real positive change to this course as the old #12, (451yd par 4) was inconsistant with the nature of the holes on this course. The par 5 makes it a much more enjoyable and playable hole. The 3rd hole looks like it's also going to be a big improvement. Don't know when it will open. (Don't understand why they are playing #3 with a temp green, why not just use the old green? Course was a bit rough, greens still recovering from the recent punching, but not too bad. In many ways this course when completed will be more fun than Encino.

In a word "CRAPTACULAR". Don't waste your money. The course is in terrible condition. And to make matters worse, there was a tourny going on. There was a foursome more than a hole behind, yet playing as a single the chump marshall hassles me because I'm hitting two balls. There was no one for three holes behind me, and I'm up the *ss of the group in front of me, but yet I'm the problem. Get real!!!!

Father's day in SD. Went out as a 3-some. Course is in OK shape. Greens are relatively flat (some bumps) and a little receptive to aggressive shots but for the most part roll off green if you hit towards the front. Rough around green is fairly thick and sticky. Fairways however are burnt out and brown. Not happy especially if you hit a nice tee shot only to find yourself on some kind of hard pan. Not great just typical muni. Around the greens different story it's lush with med/fast greens and sticky rough. Course knowledge is key. If I had known what I know now I would have used irons only on the first 5 holes. Oh well live and learn I suppose. Course played fast for me on a Sunday and being an Angeleno I heard the complaints that play was slow for a Sunday which is suprising for me. I guess it's nice to be a little spoiled.

Played for the first time on Friday. Staff was good and quickly replaced a dead golf cart. The layout is pretty basic. Its a short course with some longer par 3s. None of the holes really stick out. I hear that Encino is longer and pretty much the same. While there is nothing really wrong with the course, I'd rather play other LA city courses then this one if I had the choice.

Played on Wed. May2, The greens were in great condition after the aerating 3 weeks ago. Tee boxes were in great conditions too. Had a very good day of golf.
The couple of holes are being redone to make the course a par 72. They are adding 2 par 5's to the course. Should make this course as good if not better than Encino.

The fairways are totally dormant and are in really sad shape. Not just that they're brown, but very thin and spotty, clumpy lies. Playing the ball down is almost unfair here. The greens looked great! brillant green and lots of grass. ( I thought with all the cold weather they would be thin and fast - wrong! They were slow!!!! but nice, albiet a bit bumpy at times. All and all, it's about what you expect at Balboa. I'm certain in 4-6 weeks, when things "green-up" the course will be much better.

I played this course on 1/14, and the greens were in excellent condition; however, the fairways were brown but in playable condition. This course has many dual fairways so beware of flying balls. It's one of the easiest 18 holes I walked; it's worth the $28 to walk.

Played Sun 1/14, 11:40, teed off at noon.. had frost delay this am for 2-3 hrs, so not bad. Played in 4 1/2 hrs!!! but it felt like 5 1/2 for some reason. Greens are excellent. Fairways seem like they are dead. They were rock hard due to cold... so drives went a long way. this course is decent length, with trees being it's only defense. Very mediocre course. Not bad, but not dying to come back out.

This was my first time playing at this course. I had played at the encino course and it was decent. This course was slighty worse. The fairways on every hole are in bad shape. On the upside, the greens on all the holes are in great shape. Definitly not what I was expecting after teeing off. Is it worth the $40 green fee? Not right now. I will play here again in the future though.

I PLAY BALBOA 3-4 TIMES A MONTH, AND THE COURSE IS IN A LOT BETTER SHAPE THAN IT WAS 6 MONTHS AGO. THE MANAGEMENT GOT THE WORD TO FIX SOME OF THE PROBLEMS. MOST OF THE TEE BOXES ARE SORT OF ROUGH, BUT THEY ARE WORKING ON THEM. THE FAIRWAYS ARE IN GOOD SHAPE, AND SO ARE THE GREENS. EVEN WITH THE RAISE IN FEES, ITS STILL A GOOD VALUE. IF YOU AREN'T IN GOOD PHYSICAL CONDITION, THE LAST HOLE IS TOUGH. I CALL IT "CARDIAC HILL"

Early Sat. time played at 4 hrs. The course was hurting however. Maybe the recent heat, who knows? The greens on the front 9 were quite crappy. Many bare spots & quite a bit of broad leaf grass cropping up. Doesn't seem that anyone is trying to stop this. Too bad, a month ago this course was in really good condition. Greens were quite furry as well. The greens on the back 9 were a little better. Tee boxes were very scabby & there were 2 alternate greens that were not posted at the starter's window.

The greens are still a bit bumpy & slow from the aeration. The rest of the course is in pretty good shape. Attention has been given to the fairways. You can now tell where the fairway & rough meet. The bunkers here are still a bit dodgy. Unraked & dirty. Good pace at 4.25 hours.

The course is greening up. The greens are down to 9/64ths like in December and are nice and green. They may be bumpy from not being rolled (lack of ability) but they should be fast compared to other munies. Take advantage while you can. We will aerate in the beginning of May. Then the height will rise. Our plan is very agressive for the fairways this spring. We plan on 3 fertilizations and 2 to 3 aerations (I'm sorry if you happen to visit on one of them). I am very excited about the course now (as you probably already know from the previous posts.) My plan is to continue my aggressive aproach. I give many headaches to Jim- the Starter Supervisor, but I believe my goals are well founded. I see positive results every time I complete a project.

The season has changed. The course is ready for spring. Bring on the complaints..
(and compliments too :) :) :) ! ! !

BTW: the reason I post today is because I am very impressed with the course today.

'I don't know who Kevin in La is, but if you work for the golf course, maybe you should spend less time making excuses and more time working on the golf course!!!.'

What would you like me to do Chris? (other than cleaning the bunkers)

I may have insulted your intelligence. However, it was for a point. We have a golf course that was built decades ago. This is a flood basin that was turned into a golf course, not a golf course built on a flood basin! Under ground is a hard pan (solid clay that does not drain). We have about 10,000 trees on both courses. I am trying to do good, but I am not a migician! If you want to stay away then I say "good bye". I'll bet not! We are making changes! BTW: 500 bags of fertilizer have already gone done on roughs and tees and fairways.

It appears Kevin is the Super of the course and the fact that he pays attention to our site shows me he really cares about his course, values our feedback, and takes pride in his work. Let’s not turn this into shouting match because the golf course feedback boards are not intended for that purpose. The current comments are fine but I have a feeling this could get ugly so if you want to get into it with each other, please start a new forum topic. Thank You.

divot1957 - BURBANK 'In 25 years of playing golf I think I have seen the worst bunker conditions ever.'

Sorry about the bunkers. Yes you were correct, the wind was terrible. I dropped the ball that day on blowing the debris out of the sand. You need to know that the wind conditions were extra bad!!!

'There must be 8 different kinds of grasses growing. Tee boxes are not level'

= CORRECT: the 8 grasses are perennial ryegrass (dark green), annual ryegrass (lime green), bermudagrass (white), kikuyugrass (lime green), dallisgrass (the weed that I eradicated 75% of last year!!!!!!!!!), clover (the weed that I eradicated 75% of last year!!!!!!!!!), and whatever else you dream up. As for the level tee boxes, you are not going to get miracles. I ask for the projects, but it is a lot for than a simple 'one day effort'.

'the course isin pretty poor condition...Many bare spots in fairways.'

= "LIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" WHat were you doing last February in Encino?

CHRIS, I am sorry to call you ignorant, but do you know turfgrass??

White stuff is not bare areas! It is the fluffy dark green stuff in summer that you have grown to love in Balboa that goes dorment white fairways).

BTW: I just asked Bob for 28 tons of fertilizer for the short term (to summer) on encino, Balboa (that's a lot!!)

'Tee boxes are .. very muddy.'

True, I irrigated after the tees were very dry on Friday. Obviously it was to much. But, it was not that bad!

Chris, You need to understand that we work our a$$ off for you. The course is not going to be perfect in FEB. Try May. B!TCH THEN!!

played 12/3, beautiful day, and played as a twosome at 11 a.m.!! played a 4.5 hr round, at Balboa!! must be a dream. Greens were best i have seen there in years -actually cut a little, rolled faster than ever ( for Balboa a stimp speed of 5 is probably fast! ). Tee boxes, fairways doing better. Unlike Divot didn't find rocks in bunkers. my faith is restored for the time being, kudos to the course super. Until next week . . .

In 25 years of playing golf I think I have seen the worst bunker conditions ever. Does anyone bother to rake their mess anymore?
The scorecard says "Rocks in the bunkers are moveable obstructions." Great, thanks for the warning.

Played Balboa on Oct 1. Actually pretty good condition, however they will be aerating by the 10th. If you can get out before then, you shouldn't be dissappointed. Remember it is Balboa so it's not the most exciting course in the world, but at least the condition is pretty good. Good players can tear this course up, pretty straight forward.

I found the course to be in very nice shape! Greens were smooth although a lot slower than I remember them. (Have not played here in a couple years) Fairways, rough and traps all in good condition. Remember, this is not Pelican, TPC, or PGA, and considering all the play this course gets, I found the general condition to be excellent. Kudos to the maintainence staff.

Played Balboa Sat, 9/10. For Balboa this course is probably in the best shape I've seen it. They're doing a lot of work on the bunkers, tee boxes were decent and the greens were nice, a bit soft but rolled nicely.

Thank You masoucy,

the driving range is run by a contracted LA city vendor named Michael. He runs the pro shop too. The current contract has run out, and a new vendor has won the bid for the p-shop and d-range. I probably know less than you about it.
Thank you for bringing up that point though because my employees are tired of having their cars beaned with balls from the range. I don't know who should act on upgrades, but SOMEBODY SHOULD! The range looks 60's not 2005.

We have a new mayor. Act out loud!

The course is in the best condition I've seen it in a long time. Greens are running smooth, the fairways have few dead spots, and the rough is actually challenging. Take advantage of the the cheap rates while you can. However, the practice range is in bad shape. It looks like they haven't bought new balls in years. Rumour says they may renovate the practice facilities sometime soon.

1. Ingram65, (Posted: Sunday, February 27, 2005): thank you for visiting the course. I see that you played two days after a major storm. WE CANNOT MOW UNTIL THE MOWER CAN GET THROUGH THE TURF WITHOUT GETTING STUCK FIRST. The rough was very long but unless we were carrying line trimmers throughout the course there was no option to lower the rough that day.

2. Swanky007, and mountainkid, thank you.

3. BrianH, thank you for playing Balboa. We just vertical mowed the greens yesterday. We will be cross vertical mowing them within the next two weeks. This will help to rid the bumpiness. We had a fungus problem leading up to the aeration on April 25-27. We have finally seen good signs of recovery from the treatment as well as the aeration itself. The vertical mowing will also help to rid signs of Poa annua seed heads (the white dots)

All- in- all, the course probably is looking pretty darn good (that's what people tell me). Some people think the course has never been better. I am happy with compliments but far from satisfied. I know summer is approaching soon ( along with heat).
I cannot help but love the results that I have seen in the past five months (thanks to the rain). We will be working very hard to perfect the course up and through the summer.

Please post questions while noting...

I work very hard at what I do. Changes cannot come over night, but I work for you above all so don't hesitate to give suggestions and critiques as well!

Kevin

BTW, please thank my three greenskeepers when you are pleased with the course (and blaim me when dissatisfied). They are incredibly dependable and are above all the main reason for your good luck games.

Balboa Golf Course was in pretty good shape today. I always find that the months following their fall aeration the greens are at their best. Still a tad slow in spots but mostly smooth and very “sticky”. Look for the fairways to trend thinner as the weather gets colder and the rough to become non existent. Keep your eyes pealed when your ball leaves the fairway, we had some trouble on a few holes due to fallen leaves. On the up side the trees look gorgeous right now with the fall colors and the bunkers all have recently replaced or turned sand. Another bonus was the abundance of hawks soaring overhead. Man they are magnificent. We even saw one carrying off some prey. Interesting I didn’t see any of the pesky squirrels common to the course. I guess they’re either hiding or somebody’s dinner.

Went out at about 9 and finished the round in 4 1/2 hours. The course was getting into good shape but it looked like it had taken a few steps in the wrong direction. In addition, the green on number two is currently a temp. green.

balboa is getting better and better every time i play it, the greens are better, the tee boxes are not as severly slopped as they usually are, and even some of the fairways are actually greener than usual. played on a tuesday at ten, and finished my round in three and 1/2 hours.

the greens have recovered nicely. they just hired a new greenskeeper for balboa, and he is doing a great job, he seems as if he really cares about the course. just wish they will try to flatten some of the tee boxes, but overall the course is in pretty good condition.

Played Monday morning, out as a single, played alone, played in 2 hours, 50 minutes. While the Balboa course is only a Par 70, you must still have your A game with you. Narrow fairways, Drives that you must shape, generally a good course. It's a muni though, meaning, the conditions are not that great.

Rain and sun that has followed is speeding the course's recovery from "winter". Still...best drives rewarded with your next shot from a grass-less lie with a clump of grass behind your ball. Greens played pretty well. The course is shaping up. I believe more due to nature than anything else.

Played early morning today. What a beautiful day.

The golf course is a little soft from the rain the other night, but the greens were really quite good. Any shot just short of the green would plug or stop dead. Sand was heavy and wet as you would expect. Tees are still in pretty rough shape, and the fairways are status quo for the Sepulveda Dam area courses. But the greens really were quite good.

Rock hard greens that are super quick. Everything else was very poor, fairways, and rough were very thin. Tee boxes were slopped and bare in many areas.

Weather was perfect. The course itself was very poor shape except for the greens which are in wonderful shape. As good as Rustic Canyon greens, but softer. The greens were taking all sorts of shots. The greens are so soft that balls are spinning back off the putting surface. It's actually probably too soft. On 16, footprints are interfering with ball lines. All in all, it's not much of a course, but the greens when fresh cut are really good. Balls are rolling true, greens were probably 10-12 on stimp. These are the best greens I've ever seen on LA Muni courses, though I don't play them often. A real "well done" to the greenskeepers. Now if the fairway keepers and teebox keepers could work at the same level, it'd be a all-around pleasure to play there. Until then...

Played (I guess you could call it that) as a rabbit alone this morning... a little chilly to start, but it turned into a great breezy, fall day.

Balboa is in pretty nice shape. I could still see the last aeration on some of the greens, but as a rule they were really quite good. Pretty quick, and smooth.

Fairways are as usual, rough like normal. Bunker (I was only in one) was about a 1/2 inch of sand with hard pan underneath. Needless to say, I sailed the shot way over the green... aaaagh.

Overall, not too bad. Balboa is a fun course.

Hit 'em straight,

Got off Sunday morning at ~7:45 as a 3 some and finished 4 hours later. After the first hole, never had to wait and never held up the group behind us. Some greens still recovering from aeration, but over all in pretty good shape. A little wet from the night rains, but you really had to look to see any leaves on the ground. Kudos to the staff. It was a really great day. While some have complained about the rate increase, I can't complain about $28.50 for a weekend round!! When we finished 18, I did notice a stack of about 6 carts waiting to get off #1. Get out early and enjoy.

Played on 11/2. Greens were slow and soft, but in good shape for an LA Muni. Numerous bare spots on the fairways made some shots difficult. Rough was in decent shape and the sand condition in bunkers was marginal. 4.5 hours walking for a Sunday morning is great pace for an LA City Course.

Balboa was actually in decent shape. Greens were soft and on the slow side but rolled pretty true. Fairways were pretty thin and the kikuyu long in some areas. Although this course is fairly short you still have to hit it in the short stuff to score well. Sand quality was inconsistent. Due to the heat maintenance was soaking every green throughout the day.

Balboa played pretty nicely this past Saturday. It's the first time in quite a while I've walked LA Muni fairways that weren't over-watered to the point of killing much of the grass - these fairways were in good shape with some actual dry areas, and they were pretty firm. Greens were okay - pretty slow and bumpy with plenty of ball marks to repair. The rough here is pretty thick, has a lot of kikuyu grass, and can give you some funky lies, like it ought to. As a layout, Balboa isn't much of a golf course: it's basically a driver-wedge course and there's only one par-5 and one truly long par-4 on the whole course. It's a little tighter than sister course Encino, but neither of these courses offers much in the way of real shot values as they're both mostly flat and largely straight, with a few exceptions. Still, when you can't get on anywhere else on a weekend, you can squeeze $27 worth of golf out of either one of these courses.

I played in 3:45, teeing off in a foursome at 6:30. The course was in surprisingly good shape, considering the time of year and amount of play. The greens were reasonably good and would be significantly better if golfers would repair their ball marks. An enjoyable round!

Played 1st off this morning. Nice cool, cloudy weather. Got around in under 3 hrs as a twosome. Fun, shortish course. Greens were lush, soft and slow, but actually rolled fairly well. Fairways are they're usual patchy selves, and the rough was long and wet. Tee boxes are still pretty beat up, but the blue tees were as a whole much better than the whites. Managed to miss the sand this week, so no report there.

I shouldn't complain about anything I guess... shot my low round ever today. Alright!

Greens were great after Aereation. Tee Boxes pretty tore up (What do you expect when a bunch of duffers play there). Play bogged down in the beginning ( d%mn Duffers), but sped up in the back. Great Value for a Muni course. Watch out for the squirrels, they often take your food.

I've played Balboa at least 50 times. This was absolutely the best shape I've ever seen the greens. Smooth and medium fast. They were great. Unfortunately, the rest of the course is horrible. Very little grass on the fairways, bare spots everywhere, lousy tee boxes, bad sand. Hopefully, the maintenance guys will get the rest of the course in better shape soon.

I played Balboa 10/31 and it was crowded but played fast for a public course 4 1/2 hours and I thought the greens were in really nice shape though they were pretty slow. The main point I wanted to make was the tee boxes were pretty mushy and there were a lot of places on the fairways they could have conserved a lot of water.
