Played Sat. This course is always crowded and very slow pace. Played 30 minutes later than my tee time. That is normal. Course is very flat but long. If you have good long drives, this course will be easy for you. Sometimes it gets bit noisy on certain holes from the freeway traffic. This is OK course and worth the green fee. Nothing to brag about but enjoyable course. Greens were good. Bunkers are bit poor... not enough sands. I planning to play again this Saturday. Had a tough round last Saturday :-(

Played 6/24/08. Haven't played here for a while, conditions were nice for the price ($29 w/ cart). The greens were dried out and really fast, approach shots kept rolling off. It's been hot for the last week but the course is looking nice. With the freeway being so close, I think the temp was 5 to 10 degrees hotter on the front 9.

Decided to brave Diamond Bar last Friday (6/13). I actually have always liked this course, but it tends to really pack in the groups, and 6-hour golf is not an uncommon sight here.

Nevertheless, my father and I gave it a shot, and got right out on the course at about 12:45, with only a couple of groups out on the course ahead of us (must have been too hot for most folks). We finished in a staggering 3 hours, 45 minutes, which is about as good as can be accomplished here on most days.

The course is not overly long or difficult, but is well capable of throwing a few challenges your way. The dogleg holes are well set up, requiring accurate drives and sometimes 200+ yard second shots to reach in regulation (specifically, the par 4 8th and par 4 16th). The par 3 9th volcano, about 180 yards and 30 feet uphill to the pin is not to be missed.

The fairways remain in pretty decent shape, although the 11th hole is in really bad shape with a bare dirt patch probably 10-15 yards in length. Greens are still in real good condition and can sometimes be a little quick depending upon the exact conditions you're playing under.

This is still a nice little public course, but the quality of the grounds themselves seem to have gone backwards a little bit. That being said, the place is still worth the $. Go there expecting to play a 5+ hour round.

today we played here for the last time. this course is not difficult but it is difficult to tolerate. the wait time was unbelievable, there wasn't a shot that we didn't wait for. the management was fine. if you are local and you need a new course to play, then go somewhere else. nothing against the course but i wouldn't recommend diamond bar..

Great course, lots of fun, cart girl was always around, greens, tees, and fairways were all in great shape, especially for a public course. We had a mini tournament going on and the course was very accommodating for us.

The course was great!. Great layout, greens ran true and fast, although some ran slower than others. Fairways were in good shape and so were the tee boxes. Only negative was the relatively slow play, a little over 5 hours after teeing off at 11 on a saturday. Overall, an enjoyable course with lots of birdie chances if you can hit the fairways.

If not for the greens being punched I would have really enjoyed this course. The pace was quick but that was probably because most stayed away due to the punching. The course has quite a few elevation changes with a few blind shots. I really like that. And it's fairly challenging with lots of trouble around, like water, fairway bunkers and lots of trees. I was lucky and never got into much trouble. It's a bit noisy being along the 60 freeway, but a fun course.

This is a great layout. Too bad the course was so beat up. The greens, which were just punched a few weeks ago, actually putted pretty nice. The rest of the grass on the course, especially around the greens, was uneven, dried out, and just flat out terrible. Many of the tee boxes didn't even have grass. It was just dirt (some cases mud). I can't believe they would let a course be in this bad of shape. I am from the Long Beach area, and our local courses are in way better shape throughout the year. Lakewood Country Club is super busy (like Diamond Bar), but it is never this bad.

Oh, and did I forget to mention....our tee time was 2:28. We didn't tee off 'til after 3pm. When we got there at 2, there were 6 groups of fivesomes waiting to tee off. There was a marshal there, but he wasn't doing anything. Instead of spacing people out properly, groups were stacking up like crazy. Ridiculous.

The greens were the best part of playing here, although the fairways and condition in general was probably the best I can remember in the 30 years I've played this course. (Granted I only play here about once every other year) Except for the fact it takes forever to complete the round (5+ hours) and the noise from the freeway was the loudess I can ever remember, it's not a bad place to play. Just basic golf, no frills, about what you'd except from a muni track.

Played 9/15 before noon. All the conditions were good. All Greens were great and not many unrepair divots (unusal for the public course lately). Marshall was around the course all the time (saw him three times within our round) and providing us a nice ice cold water from the cooler. My favorite is Hole #14 (dogleg to the Right), short par 4.

i played on 9/2/07 on a sunday

made a tee time for around 10:30 but it was so open the starter let us play at 10. well, the temperature was at least 110 degrees out there.
the greens were rolling fast and smoothly and the fariways were in pretty good condition.

if you dont mind loud freeway noise, you will definitely enjoy this golf ourse.

I live about 10 minutes from Diamond Bar GC. Couldnt remember why I havent been here for a few years, then on the 1st tee, there it was, kinda like golfing on an Aircraft Carrier during manuvers,,, Loud. Course is in fairly good shape, we were 6:15 tee time, no delays,no one pushing, good layout, good holes, not too easy, good for walking, good deal if your 65 and have a LA county card, $11 to walk. Greens were fairly smooth and soft. But,, because of the $11 deal and because of this track filled with regulars it is a MESS. They dont care, they dont fix divots on the tee, they ignore all Ballmarks on the green. We were 4th off this AM and we were repairing fresh ball marks on ALL greens. The bunkers we OK, but some had new sand on the face, deep soft sand,,, if you hit them you were plugged. Well, the regulars found a way around that, they just didnt rake the face and all the new sand is destined to the middle of the bunker. I wont be back for a long time, partly due to the NOISE, partly due to the $33 vs other close by tracks that are much better and mostly due to the REGULARS that dont give a crap about the place. Oh yeah, new carts, but ours died on 16th hole, barely made it in.

Today was my fourth time to play at DB. Each time the condition of the course is getting better. Condition of the greens and Bunkers were fair. Nice course layout, except early morning weekday rounds come with freeway traffic noise. Hope the DB management keep up their good job.

Not to many courses can boast about having a great starting hole and a great finishing hole. Both are long par 4's that require two good shots to get on in regulation. As is true with many courses now it was fairly dried out. However, the greens were nice as well as the bunkers. If the noise from the freeway doesn't bother you this is a good course to play for the money. To score well take advantage of the easy par 5's out here!

I played yesterday, Sunday, at about 9:30 and the course was less crowded than I would have expected. Pace of play was actually a couple minutes under 5 hours, which is amazingly fast for this course on a Sunday. The course is going to play to a par 70 (36-34) for a while, as the par 5 twelfth hole is being worked on and is currently a 210 yard par 3. The overall course conditions were pretty good, considering how much play it gets, and the greens are good enough so that a player who is putting well can make a lot of putts...and the price is right.

Well manicured greens were unexpectedly fast and the ball rolls nicely without bumps. Prefer to tee off before 7:30am or else you could spend over 5 hours on this course on weekends.

Reserved saturday at 1;30 p.m. teed off after 2;00 as usual, when starter call you ,with cart going to 1st tee box you see 3 groups of 4-5 somes in line to start the game.
After aeration greens are healed well offering true lie & considerable good medium-fast speed holding well balls good executed.
Also fairways in good shapes well grown turf hard to find bare spots.
$40.00 weekend green fee you can't complain about how noisy is this course.

Was in Ontario for some business and tried my hand at Whispering Lakes orginally but greens looked BAD. I mean mud on the greens after aerifying? Even the golf pro was pretty embarassed in the Pro Shop. So made my way to Diamond Bar GC after hearing some pretty good words. They have aerified the greens. They are bumpy but looks like at least 1-1 1/2 weeks until they are pretty sound. Balls do bounce around and do not roll true but you can deal with it. Otherwise course looks pretty solid with some interesting legs and a long par 5 on the front to boot. Sand is OK. Looks like they do a decent job of rotating the tees. Just give it a few weeks until you visit since greens are only just recovering.

What can I say, other than you get what you pay for. We played here saturday 3/24, and we "thought" we could avoid the rush by teeing off at 330. WRONG. Terrible pace - teed off at 340, finished at 7, and got in 8 holes. Marshall drove right by...did nothing to speed up the pace of the game. The group in front of us consisted of two beginners in cart one, the beginners wives (who weren't playing) in cart two, and two walkers. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? We ask to play through but angry asian man who's too cheap to pay the 8 bucks for the cart decides to cuss us out in chinese. Doesn't allow us to play through, would rather continue hitting his ball way to the right onto other fairways. IDIOT. I'd rate the actual course but, OH YEAH, I DIDN'T GET TO PLAY the other 12 holes. Staff has no idea what is going on out there. On hole 8, we saw a guy peeing on a tree to the left of the fairway....absolutely ridiculous.

We would have had a better time dodging traffic on the 57 freeway.

Played on 1/13 with 40 degree weather. Tee times pushed back 20 minutes due to frost. I had not played here in many years but felt the greens were in good shape given the amount of play this course gets. Fairways had wear and tear which is typical for most muni's in SoCal in Winter. Pace of play was good for a weekend. Good bang for the buck at Diamond Bar.

Played Jan 2, 6:45 tee time started at 7 AM, 2 of us on cart, assigned a 3rd player who walked, we were joined by a single on the 4th tee he was in cart. 4some ahead of us were real slow. Although we finished in 4 hrs, the pace and tempo was slow.
The course was not in very good shape, fairways were thin with some bare spots, and lots of divots, our cart did not have sand in the two bottles, the greens were in decent shape, rolled well and had some ball marks. Overall not as good as other times we have played here.

This is a good course with some challenging holes and recently has been in good shape for such a crowded course. As seems to be the theme here to pace of play is very slow. There will probably be a good deal of waiting on the tee boxes and in the fairways for the group ahead of you to get through. Last week I was the first group (luckily a twosome with another quick player) to get out after the CIF girl's tournament and was able to play all 18 holes in about 2 hours 40 minutes. However, I have played this course starting at 12:30 and having to stop on the 16th on account of darkness. From what I've seen it looks like the starters just throw anyone who shows up out on the first tee regardless of reservations or the number of other groups already waiting on the tee. It is more the number of groups that makes the pace slow rather than the speed of the individual groups.

Played on 10-30. Overall not too bad of condition. Greens are a bit bumpy, but need a little time to heal after aeration. Starter Justin I think is his name, is very accomodating and very nice. Pace of play is slow due to the cliental that predominately plays this course. Other than that, a nice golf experience.

play here every other Saturday with a couple of guys. The good is that the course layout is well designed, a balanced mix of long par 4s, short par 3s, and challenging par 5s. fairways are pretty good at the moment, not too many bare spots, generous landing areas. Greens look good, not great but not anywhere as bad as Royal Vista's greens were last time i was there. pace wasnt too bad, same as the last reviewer, the round usually should take around 4.5-5 hours on a weekend at a steady pace. usually meaning waiting at the long par 3s this course has but not too much otherwise. good value course all in all.

WARNING: You will not tee off at your assigned tee time. This the 2nd time I played this course & the same problems occured. The pro shop is runned by a bunch of easily pressured junior golfers so there is a lot of disorganization & confusion. I had a 1:40 tee time and got there at 1. I tried to check in but was told to wait. At 1:15, I went back to check in and again was told to wait. In the course of waiting, I notice that these guys were squeezing in 5 groups of 5somes who were late for their tee time and some group of "regulars" who had no tee time (the only reason I know this is the guy tried to say the "pro" promised them a 1:40 tee time but he was no where on their schedule). Upon hearing this, I started to complained and was finally checked in at 1:40. We did not tee off until 2:15. This is the 2nd time this happen to me on this course. So be prepared to fight for your tee time even if you have reservation. Once on the course, it was slow because of the five 5somes in front of us and the heat. Over 5 hours later, it was finally over. The only good thing about the course was the marshalls. Groups were being waved up on par 3s and cold water was on hand.

Played Sunday 7/3 & teed off at 12:15. A tough outing considering there seemed to be quite a few women on this course. Not like there is anything wrong with that but this course is rather lengthy (especially w/the wind blowing) and that extra distance makes for a long round of watching the slow group in front of you peck away 100 yards at a time. The round took about 5.25 hours to complete and I was expecting it to be much hotter but the wind kept things from getting too hot.

The greens seem to be the toughest part of this course as they are deceptively fast AND break more than you would expect. Even short 3 or 4 footers can be challenging. The fairways & teeboxes were in good condition but the majority of the rough (including that surrounding the greens) is crab grass which is tough to hit out of cleanly as the grass grabs your club as you swing through it. I hit most of the fairways throughout my round but the odd time I was in the rough it definitely added to the challenge. Stay in the fairways if possible to avoid losing strokes in the rough.

I recommend this course and it is worth the green fee although the pace of play detracts from the overall positive experience.

I just won the Diamond Bar Club Championship last weekend(5/20-21).
So that makes me the Club Champ!!

What a year!! My first ace on #3, and now I'm the club champ...what gives?!!

The wind was blowing on Sunday. The course has teeth with the wind blowing, especially from the blue markers.

The course is in decent shape. Greens need just a wee bit of TLC from the maintenance crews. However, not many ball marks were left unfixed--and that's good to see. They are smooth but are just a bit slower than your eyes percieve them to be. They speed up as the sun bakes them out however.

All the bunkers have plenty of sand, are nice and easy to get out of-- nothing too hard-packed, nothing too fluffy.

I guess I can't say anything good about the pace of play since I play in the men's club groups, however, they are the quickest men's club I've ever played with or behind. Ya'll should come out and join Diamond Bar MC. We need younger players, like me!!( I'm only 28)

Anyway, customer service has been great. The guys in the shop are very helpful and will do their best to fit in players on the waiting list.

All tees are in good shape.
I think they did a little tree trimming here and there over the past few months
.
Hole 12 and 14 still need some cosmetic work but overall the entire course is in good of shape as you'll ever find it. I hope the improvments and upkeep continue.

A neat thing that most golfers don't care to notice is the alternate tees available on #4 and #13. They really stretch the layout. It makes #4 about a 460 yard par 4 uphill rather than a 378 yard hole, plus it brings both of the fairway bunkers on the left in play for longer hittters. On the par 3 #13 the alternate tee adds an additional 25-30 yards to a hole that already plays 191 yards from the blue marker.

Additionally, if you can sneak in a tee shot from the back of the old par five tees on the first hole and still play it as a par four, and then play the entire course from the tips of the back tees, including the alternate tees mentioned above, you're looking at a golf course close to 7000 yards.

GO join Diamond Bar!!!!!!

Not worth the green fees at all, even though it's not a bad course. $40 riding on a saturday? when there are 6 groups ahead of you and you made your tee time way far in advance? They also allow 5 somesomes, which just kills.

Not my favorite track, but needed a place to play early and "beat the rain". The course needs lots of attention. Other than the greens which are decent, the condition is really not good! The course has potential, but I doubt the county will ever put any $$ into it.

This course is okay, but the freeway noise is loud. The pace of play on a friday was very slow. The office staff is young with no starter. With a 12:45 tee off, barely finished at 6:00 pm. They let out too many people too fast and the course gets stacked up. We were waiting on every hole. Fairways and greens are in winter shape, a little bare and dry, but playable.

I wanted to let everyone know how good Diamond Bar GC is. My firends and I have played Diamond Bar qite a few times during the past few months. We done this as the course has been upgraded and is in great shapr. Each time we have called for tee time, we had good luck in getting tee times, and we have getting off on time if not earlier when we arrive.

My golf club has a tournament at Diamond in January 06, the tournament director (Andy) has been great to work with and has been very accomodating.

GO PLAY DIAMOND BAR.

The green is getting better, the fairway is well keep and the the tee area need some improvement. I like this course not only is close to my house but lots of challenge with water and bunkers.

I made my first hole in one on the third hole from 191 yards with a titleist prov1x #4 golf ball using a titleist 690mb 5-iron, exactly one month after my 28th birthday. It was a perfectly struck shot and I meant to hit it exactly the way I did. The ball tracked straight to the pin with about three feet of draw, bounced once and went directly into the cup. I watched it the whole way...but I still didn't believe it actually went in until I got to the green. What a feeling!!! If you look at the photo of this hole on GK, the pin was set in the same position as it was in the photo. Obviously I have made this my screensaver background now.

I hope everybody gets to feel this feeling once in their lives....I feel guilty under such blissful happiness. This was a goal that I have been waitiing to accomplish and never thought it would happen in a million years. I'm inspired further to go towards professional competitive golf. You'll see me on TV one day, I promise.

I just joined the Diamond Bar Men's club a month ago and made the ace during their monthly home tournament, yesterday. With over 80 guys in the field, needless to say, I made many new friends at the nineteenth hole. My bar tab was suprisingly low, however, at a mere $125. Thanks to Richard the bartender!!!!! I tipped him very well, however.

I made $55 on the skin for that hole and $500 for the ace. It's the only thing I have ever won in my entire golfing carreer, which started over 12 years ago. I've also made an albatross (a double-eagle) on the short Par 5 16th hole on Brookside #2 in Pasadena when I was 16 years old. I had several close encounters with aces, but, close only counts with horseshoes and hand grenades, right???!!

Anyway the conditions at Diamond bar are just great if your in the fairway and on the green. The rough is average and spotty in some places...some spots of severe maintenance on the back nine but nothing that bothers play. Greens are like lightning when the dew burns off.

I shot a 75 despite the ace, but managed to finish in the top five or six spots. This is cleary one of my best performances ever and is a clear sign that all the work I have been putting into my game is helping. I have goals to make a living playing this game. I've shot much lower scores before, but this was by far my best day ever!!

Diamond bar is a great course--It's very underrated if you ask me!!

Played 10/01 with my neighbor who convinced me to join the Men's club there. First time I had played it since I narrowly lost a tournament as a junior golfer about 10 years ago. The greens were punched, which really sucked, but to my disbelief the greens are still very fast, but very hard to judge because of the punch.

Tee boxes were good. I only saw them from the tips, though. Play from the tips. Get the most yardage for your buck, unless you suck and are slow, then play from the new short course orange tees.

Fairways were rolling well. Its nice to be in the fairway here. But it is just the opposite in the rough aroung the greens. Just a terrible mix of what seems like Bermuda and Kikuya combined. You can't bump and run through that junk on a short chip--you'll end up on the very edge of the green every time, the rough simply will not let the ball roll forward---land the ball on the green for the best results with the right amount of loft....you've got to have soft hands to get close.

Overall, very enjoyable for $40, cart included, but take my advice and walk because the pace of play is too slow to be romping down the cartpath at 15 mph in a cart. Just walk and enjoy the round. Course conditions will remain consistently good if there are less carts.

After playing, I'm not as apprehensive about joining the Men's club. I'm actually looking forward to it. Stay away from this golf course so there is more room for me. =)

This is the second time to play here. Course look pretty. a little noise near the freeway. But the pace is slow. Almost every hole we had to wait for 5-10 minutes for our turn. Overall I would prefer play in the afternoon(last time I played here the pace good at tee time 2 pm). But the price is good!!

Played for the first time today. Some bare spots, the greens were extremely soft. I thought was average for a city course.
The big disapointment was the pace of play. We were right
behind a women's tournament. I don't want to sound sexist
because there are plenty of slow playing males and they did pick it up a little on the back nine. Our round was 5hrs. and 20 mins.

Played after about 1 year here again. 25 minutes later than our tee time we started as usual.Being busy crowded public course is this ,fairways & greens shows very well maintained in good conditions considering quantity of players especially weekend. After 3rd hole pace of play get normalized not so long waiting time as I expected. Overall anyway today not occured usual delay, delay, delay & wait. Maybe hot summer weather generally affects the quantity of players of afternoon golf.

Course is in surprisingly great condition. Very receptive & fast greens and overall in tip top shape for a muni course. Played in 5.5 hours though which was the only drawback but we teed of at 11:30 on a Saturday. They also encourage 5somes. Layout is challenging due to the length and impending head winds that make the course even longer. Fairways have generous landing areas.

Played the course today. Thought it was pretty nice, especially for the money. $33 w/ cart. Fairways are in great condition. There were some that didn't have some growth for the first 150-200 yds off the tee on the back 9 but that shouldn't be a problem for most people. Did look a little funny though. Greens were in great condition. A little bumpy on some of them but not bad for a public course. Played 18 in 3.5 hrs.

Played on April 24 after windy showers. Overall o.k. conditions for the price. 3 tough long holes for a Silver tee player but well worth the $40, but be expected to do a lot of waiting on the weekend and hit long low balls due to windy passes on some holes.

Course plays rather long on windy days as most holes you hit directly into the wind. There are at least 5 or 6 400+ yard par 4's to deal with from the white tees. Greens are deceivingly fast in spite of the recent aeration. Crab grass rough surrounds the greens & fairways which makes it tough to dig your ball out of... played in 3.75 hours on a Wed. Some water damage on hole #12 but course in decent shape otherwise.

Greens still bumpy from punching last week. #12 shortened due to damage from the rain, it has never drained well even after the new drainage system was put in. Would of finished in 4hrs if group ahead would of played faster, they were 1 1/2 - 2 holes behind most of round, finally passed them on 14. Marshall inefective in getting pace picked up. Still, overall conditions were above par for this course. Super doing super job!!

I played Diamond Bar for the first time march 2. I'd always wondered about the course, cuz it's right off the 57 fwy., and I drive by it all the time. Very pleasently surprised. I went out as a single, and was able to get a time the night before, at 10.07. Showed up at 9.00, and got out early with another twosome.
The course played long!! The tips are 6800. I played the whites, which are 6500 yds.
With all the recent rains, the course played LONG!!
The course has nice character, alot of doglegs, and only a couple of spots on the back nine were muddy. The rest of the track has drained nicely. Best part of all is it's only $21.50 to walk the course during the week. Tough to pass up!

I enjoyed playing this course. The first few holes were a little noisy (next to the 60 freeway). Fun layout, good to walk. The tee boxes are under repair, fairway in decent shape, rough a little thin, sand traps were fluffy, and the grees were in great shape ( fast and a little bumpy) Pace was 4 1/2 hours Overall great experience for the price.

played 9/14 finished in 3hrs,unbelievable for a 2some. course was in decent shape, some brown spots, some divot damege to greens, but fairways were full and tight, rough thick and tee boxes level.

if you're not familiar with course 60/57 sits right next to it so noise can be a distraction. concentrate on your play and only the wayward screech will get your attention.

nothing special about the layout, though ,always a fun course to play when the pace is right. when it plays slow , course gets real boring.

Considering some of the courses I've played recently this was a STEAL for $40 w/the cart (& a FREE bucket of balls due to the machine being broken)!! All around great conditions from greens to fairways although there were a couple uneven tee boxes and the fwy noise is definitely present. On the downside, the round took 5 hrs 20 mins even though we had a 7:20 tee time. The marshall got involved & it did make a difference. The course is challenging in 2 ways - distance (with over 5 400+ par 4s and 1 550 yard par 5) as well as the greens were VERY fast and also challenging since they weren't flat. The greens tended to be sloping quite a bit which added to the overall challenge. They did hold shots rather well though which is ALWAYS a plus. We had to laugh as the range was uneven - we were hitting from what seemed to be from an uphill stance????? Overall, a nice inexpensive course but it's HOT out here boyz!!!!

$21.50 WHAT A STEAL!!!! FOR THE SOUTHBAY GOLFERS MAY BE A LONG DRIVE, 49 MILES. THE NAME SAYS IT ALL, " DIAMOND"! THIS COURSE HAD THE BEST GREENS I HAVE SEEN IN SOME TIME!! THE BALL ROLED TRUE AND WITH SOME PACE, LA PURISIMA AND LA COSTA LIKE, WITH OUT THE $$$$$. THIS COURSE IS JUST LIKE LOS AMIGOS WITH ELEVATION CHANGES. FAIRWAYS WERE GENEROUS BUT YOU NEEDED TO HIT THE BALL WITH SOME SHAPE! DRAWS OVER BUNKERS TO CUT THE CORNERS, LAYUP SHOT TO KEEP SHORT OF HAZARDS. PLAYING THIS COURSE WAS SOOO REFRESHING, NOT JUST GET UP AND HIT DRIVER STRAIGHT THEN HIT WEDGE TO GREEN, YOU NEED SOME IMAGINATION AT THIS COURSE. PAR 3'S AVERAGE 187 YARDS WITH GREAT HOLE DESIGN! PAR 5'S WERE TUFF BUT FAIR, ONLY ONE IS NOT REACHABLE BY MOST MORTALS 560 YARDS TO UP HILL GREEN. READ MY LIPS DON'T BE ABOVE THE HOLE ON ANY OF THESE GREENS!!! UNLESS YOU HIT THE HOLE ITS GOING GOING GONE! d%mn I WISH I LIVED CLOSER TO THIS COURSE! SHOT 81 WITH 2 LOST BALLS, MADE MY DAY! A GREAT GROUP OF GUYS TO PLAY WITH TODAY ALSO. Better than I expected or remembered from a few years ago. If your a anti sound freak like the pro's then the freeway noise on a couple of holes may be a bother.
Diamond Bar is a very fair layout with some challenging par 4's and par 3's. Hole 16 comes to mind.
My only complaint is that the greens were much slower than I expected and most were pretty bumpy. They just aerated them a couple of weeks ago, so hopefully they will improve over the next two or three weeks.
Overall - a nice place to play.

One of the better LA county golf courses. I’d say Diamond Bar is one of my favorites for the costs. Good long and challenging layout from the back tees. It can play very slow so be patient. Surprisingly despite American Golf’s involvement, the course is maintained very well. I played yesterday and it’s in great shape.

The fringe of the greens were already dug up (some kind of aeration) severely. So if you land on the fringe, its a lot harder to chip from there that from the green side rough. The rest of the course was in good condition and greens were quite fast.

Probably the best condition I've seen this course in many years! The greens were "almost fast". The county has done a nice job bringing this course back into shape!

Played there two weekend in a row. Love it. Good distance course, fast green, and nice design course, but too crowded. Expect 5 hours play.

Played on Jul 27. The course itself was in pretty good shape. Although, you can't ask for too much at $27 a pop. Greens were normal for Diamond Bar. Good and smooth. As with any American Golf operation, the only problem was the fivesomes. Now, don't get me wrong, I have nothing against a good fivesome. But allowing fivesomes to walk and play from tees that are above the players ability just grinds a good day of golf to a halt. Please, American Golf, if you're listening, please force fivesomes to ride.

The golf course is in very good condition considering it's just $27 for walking on a weekend. Definitely worth playing.

Haven't played this course in two years because of the inconsistent (and downright poor) condition it always was in. If they could ever smooth out the greens and correct the terrible drainage problems on the back nine I thought the course would be one of my favorites. WELL, THEY DID! I played here on 6/26, teeing off at 5:50 a.m., and played in 3 1/4 hours. I've never seen this course in better shape. The fairways finally have some grass on them. The rough is thick enough to cost you if you miss the fairway, and the trees are always in play. I'll be back soon. Check out American Golf's website, "savesomegreen.com", for short-term discounts (one to three days in advance). I saved $5 per player that way. That's not a lot, but hey, that'll buy you a beer after the round! One thing- don't play the blue tees unless you're a fairly long hitter or you'll be hitting a lot of long iron and fairway wood second shots.

Very decent course for being a city course. Challenging enough for the low to mid handicap level. Yes, it is vastly improved from 5 years ago, and yes they still need more improvement. But overall a good value for the what you pay. Warning: Weekend play will be much longer than weekday play. (5-1/2 hrs. vs. 4 hrs.)

Lastly, yes there may be one or two guys in the pro shop that are rude occasionally, but there is a great guy named Keith, who always give me and my boys great friendly service with a smile. He always helps out anyway he can.

Played on 5/18 and gave up on the 13th hole. They really pack this course in. Expect a 6hr+ round.

My friend and I booked a tee time for this place 3 days before our round on a Saturday afternoon. When we got there, we were told that they had lost our tee times. When we asked when what they could do for us, one of their employees (Kabar) became very belligerent to us and told us "Not to play then". We were not sure why they were this rude as they were the ones who lost our tee times. I would say that the Staff at this course was one of the if not the worst I have ever seen.

One other thing - the round took us nearly 6 hours. Ridiculously slow, but that seems to be the way American Golf Corp. likes to run things - fivesomes are the norm, and slow golf has resulted.

I played Diamond Bar yesterday. The greens were very challenging and I loved the length of the course, as well as the layout. The fairways were nice and wide, too.

Only problem - and it was a huge problem - was that the fairways were in awful condition. I have never seen worse fairways in my life. There were splotches of crabgrass and other weird types of grass that caused bad lies on every hole. If they could fix the fairways, Diamond Bar would easily be one of my favorite courses, especially for only $27 (to walk).

Hadn't played Diamond Bar in about 5 years but kept hearing rumors the overall condition had improved. Turned out these rumors were actually fact. The course is in great shape. The greens are definitely much better and it is absolutely a driver friendly course off the tee. For $39 on the weekend (incl. cart) this course is a must play.

Recently renovated course featuring superb greens and improved fairways and roughs. Wide open fairways on most holes, definitely need to have your driver working in order to shoot a low score. Fast, smooth greens can lead to three putts if not careful. A great value leads to slow pace of play. Took more than 4 hours on a Friday afternoon to complete 18 holes.
