This course is slowly improving. There is a new practice putting green (not open yet), newly improved range (shade structure under construction), and new irrigation on the course. If you have played here in years past you will notice some character changes, most notable are skinned areas of decomposed granite under the established trees (not really in play unless you make a mistake) and some new trees. The new irrigation is paying off. The fairways and rough were lush, without dry areas. In fact, it may have been a little too wet in spots, but those should dry up by afternoon. Greens were soft and smooth; however, there were quite a few poorly repaired (or unrepaired) ball marks. Sand traps looked okay, but they were wet this morning. Tee boxes are lush, but some were a little unlevel.
