Nice experience. Played on a Sunday afternoon and took a little over 4 hours despite cartpathe only. Not clear why carts weren't allowed on the course. Very playable even for a high handicapper as there are very few forced carries. Greens were outstanding - after I realized that despite being soft they were FAST. Only negative feature are the sand traps - they were so hard that I started chipping the ball out. The quoted weekend greens fee of $117 is out of line but at $58.50 using the GolfExtra card it was a good deal. Can't wait until I go back and play the Valley course.

Well worth the drive. The greens really are the best around.

You can't beat this course in So. Cal. The greens and fairways are beginning to show signs of wear at the end of summer, but no truer putting surfaces can be found in all of LA.

These greens are simply the best I've ever played on EVERY TIME I play here! Period! The fairways were really poor. (Perhaps getting ready to overseed???) I like these courses more every time I play them. On this last visit I found the "pro" to be totally unprofessional and lacking in any kind of public service. He is indifferent, kurt and just flat out unfriendly. The wrong kind of guy for the job! Too bad, because the rest of the staff was very pleasant and helpful.

Played here for the first time. Greens are great. Pace was good as there wasn't many players. Course knowledge is a plus and will enjoy better next time.

Played Robinson's Ranch today. The greens were excellent, smooth and fast. Fairways were OK. There were some fairway areas where they lost the grass but it just amounted to a tight lie. Looks like a fungus. Amenities were good but the driving range was not open in the morning. I played at a senior discount which they only offer on Tuesday. Wish they offered this rate on other days during the week. They might get more play.

Played both the Mountain and Valley on 6/29. Mountain still in great shape, although this is the "little sister" of the two courses as far as character and layout, it was in better condition than the valley. Not very long ,6000 yds from the blues, but you need to keep it in the short grass. There is not much rough at either RR course, it is either in the short stuff, or in the baranca.
The staff was saying that Heritage Golf was buying the RR from Troon Golf and the deal had to close by 6/30. Rumor has it that they are planning ontaking the Valley course, possibly both, private.

Much easier track than Valley with the same quality. Worth the discounted fees mentioned before. Greens were rolling perfect with the exception of balls mark scars. Been here a few times, and this course seems to consistantly attract whole groups of hacks. By the third, the group in front of us was already three holes behind, they never waived us up, and the marshall didn't even speed them up when I asked for some help. Kindof ruined an otherwise great day of golf.
