Whitter became my normal Sunday round course. I love coming here to practice my swings. Wide open fairways and long. Great place to test out your new clubs or new swings. Fairways are OK... bare spots here and there. Greens were bit soft side. Little too much water. Greens are bit bang up - bit bumpy. Tee box areas are bit rough and unleveled. Need to fix the tee box areas. Bunkers are OK. Some fairway bunkers were dry soil which make it easier for you to get out. Overall it is decent course. Customer services are also very good.

This course has really small greens on the holes that haven't been redone. The holes that have the newer greens (half the back nine) are normal size for a course this length and price. However; all the newer greens have extensive ball mark damage. They also putt much faster than the rest of the 12-15 other holes. It was very inconsistent putting on the back nine because of the differing green speeds. There are a good number of bare spots on the fairways and a few on the greens. The pace of play is very slow (5 hours).

Played Sun 10/05. They aerated two weeks ago and the greens healed very well. Fairways are in decent shape except the tee boxes. I am not sure why they are not fixing the tee boxes. Feel like you are hitting from a rough and many unleved tee boxes. Bunkers are bit hard... need more sands. Green speeds are normal. Couple of new greens look fast but actually normal to slow. Don't let the look deceive you. Customer service has improved great deal... good job with Tom & Craig.

played on 9/8 had the first tee time, however the starter placed us behind 3 walk up groups. The staff gave preference to walk up groups. Severe overwatering on most of the greens and fairways. Tee boxes were very uneven with lots of broken tees. Greens had lots of unrepaired divots.

I like the choices this place has to offer you have a Pine Course and a River course and a Mountain course and they also feature a driving range chipping area w/sandpit and a putting green. All three courses are really friendly and well maintained by the staff. If you decide to have lunch to save time call in your order they can get a little busy at times... May I say that the Curry Beef is well worth the wait. So make sure to mark this one down on your TO DO list it is well worth it.....

I have started to play this course once again. I hated this couse due to customer services but they have improved a great deal. Course is very flat but long course. Great place to test out your swings. Very forgiving course. Pace is tend to bit slow but it's OK. Since the new managements, this course has improved both the green condition and the customer services. Overall condition of the courses are OK. They need some works on the tee boxes. Sand traps are OK. Some of them are very thin and dry. This is good course to walk.

Whiitier Narrows Golf Course: This is a 27 hole golf course, and you pick which one you want to play, the river, pine, and mountain. The river is a hard long course, and it's the longest in the course, The mountain is a short course, with small greens, and The Pine is also long with new greens on the holes across the creek. The river and pine course has decent maintained fairways at times, and bad at times, but the mountain course has bad fairways. The greens on the river and mountain courses have decent small greens, and the pine course has new greens which are real good, and new bunkers. The course is operated by LA Country, and the green fees is $30 on weekend/holidays, $25 on weekdays, $19 twlight, $12 for a cart, $9 for juniors on weekend/holidays, and $5 on weekdays.

course conditions are typical public muni. Not to great but not to bad. You get what you pay for. Havent played here in years, and had enjoyable time. 5 hours to finish 18 holes, but seemed faster(too bad there was a 30 min wait at the turn). Seems like whittier narrows are trying to change the greens here. Some holes on the back nine were very smooth and firm(holes 14 and 15). I hope people fix their divots so the greens could stay that way.

Played here yesterday. Havnt been here and a few years and was reminded that it is a very long course, but you dont have to be particularly straight- very fogiving- It does however get old having a hibrid in your hands for most of your second shots at the green. Really is a no frills course, but I have to say that there are a few holes on the Pines 9 I think it is, where they have what appears to be brand new greens with different grass- very fast, very true and very hard to hold approaches on. Nice to see a bit of cash going back into the place now that there is a different managmnt team involved. Rest of greens have pretty much healed up from airiation and are not as fast or true as the new greens, but hey its midweek golf and the pace was terrific-Nice day had fun out there

Tee Box & Fwys: Tee boxes need a little work, some are still unlevel. There are too many broken tees all over the place, and even on the tee box, members are too lazy to repair their divots. Most tee boxes are okay, but could improve with some "etiquette" that is lacking by members here. The fairways are pretty lush and the ball seems to sit up nicely on most fairways. Again, divots are not being filled in with sand to help cure the fairways faster.

Greens & Sand: Greens recently were aerated and it definitely will affect your putting stroke. They should heal quickly, I would give it another 3-4 weeks before getting a nice stroke on their greens. The new greens, (#12, #14, and #15) do not appear to be aerated and are runninq quite fast. The sand is hard-packed on most greens with the exception of the new bunkers that were placed on the new greens. The white sand placed on the new greens is "very heavy" and you must have an "explosion" if you want the ball to come out!

Overall: Not a bad layout, as mentioned on my previous reviews...it's a wide open course and you should not lose any balls on this course. It's a long track, but it's not a penal course. The pace of play was great, we finished in about 4:15....this course usually plays at 5+ hours. I guess we got lucky or most golfers stayed away since the greens were recently aerated. Staff as usual is great, the previous reviewer's comments and issues may have been an unusual anomaly. I have never had an issues or complaints here...except the sloooow play at times.

I haven't play here for more than 6 months. This use to be my regular golf course when I just start playing golf. This course is more for beginners. Not too many OB areas. Very flat and wide fairways. Also very long course, 6,819 yds from Blue tees. Thus the pace will be slow. They use to have very bad greens but with the new owners, they did improved the greens. They also installed the GPS and cost $1 per person which is OK. You don't really need the GPS on this course.
Overall this is decent course - average 5.0. However, some of those guys in the club house are @$#$@$%. Excuse me. Unless you have tee times set, you will be in their mercy to get on the tees. I was first in line as a single and after an hour when I check the status with them. This jerk "starter" told me that you can never get out on Sat for River/Pine course with an attitude. Rob is alright. I waited outside and got to talk with another guy also waiting in line. He was a regular on this course and know the starter. The starter informed him that there is a three som and have a opening for two more. We went back into the club house and informed the jerk "starter" He was bit astonished. What a as2323! This wasn't the first time. There were several times they did that to me. I have waited longer at Santa Anita golf course but the starter "Ed" was always treat you fairly. He makes the waiting pleasant. If the Whittier's manager has a chance to see this review. Please educate and discipline some of those guys.
I am alright with the course condition and encouraged to see improvements each time I play. But the customer services is one thing giving me bad taste.

This course has definitely improved over the course of a two-year span. The fairways would be alot better if players would replace their fairway divots, it's more of a beginner's course so alot of "golf etiquette" is lacking here! Alot of five-somes are put out there making the course very slow to play. This course has small greens, accurate approach shots are a must if you want to score, and the greens are soft and receptive! Greens are not really holding their true roll, but are relatively fast (probably an 8-9 on the stimpmeter).

Played this past Monday. Course was in good shape. Fairways were ok, greens were in good shape, tee boxes were decent at times unlevel, rough was thick. Flat course with average to wide fairways. Greens tend to be small in size with not a lot of holding ability. Fun course for all.

TEE BOXES: They keep reseeding these tee boxes but what they really need to do is "level" these tee boxes because every single one of the tee boxes starts you off in an unfair lie. You either have an uphill or downhill lie right off the box. The course if fairly long from the blue tees around 6800 yds, but I guess the only defense here is uneven lies everywhere.

FAIRWAYS: This is definitely a beginner's course since the fairways range between 75 to 100 yds wide...really no trouble on the course even if you hook, slice, pull, push, anything is really playable. Most golfers don't replace their divots after trying to dig their own grave, so most of the overwhelming large divots are spread all over the fairways like a minefield. They have really improved the course since the new management took over, kudos to Robert, "The GM" and their staff.

BUNKERS: They seemed okay, I wasn't in one bunker at all today so I can't really justify their true description and playability.

GREENS: The greens were a little lumpy and bumpy...I guess the previous cold weather from a few days ago left a lot of damage from players walking on "defrosting" greens. A lot of small depressions were clearly evident all over the green from small little spikes walking all over it. The only defense at this course is really their small greens, I suggest to just aim at the "center" of the green and from there you have a putt for birdie, if not get your par and get out. They have "temporary greens" on #12, #14, and #15...they should be getting the new greens up to playing conditions probably by mid January. They look amazing and this course will definitely have to be re-rated because the slope rating will be a lot more difficult with the new greens in place.

STAFF: Very friendly staff, particularly Robert, the general manager there. Tomas and Ron, the starters are very friendly guys and will get you on (walked on as a single) at a pretty decent time frame.

OVERALL: I would rate the golf course at a 6.0, it could be a lot better and it's definitely showing some improvement over the last few years. Golfers just need to remember to fix their divots on the fairway, fix their pitchmark, and keep the pace of play!

I played on 11-3-07 and on 11-17-07 and I must say that the course is in terrible shape. The tee boxes are full of mud if not, grass is depleted with divots. 2 holes in Pine course are temporary, so you are basically putting on a fairway grass. Very bad condition, the pace is too slow, a lot of amateur players taking 2-3 shots with their drivers on the tee box just to hit the faiway, you dont start or your designated tee time, etc. It took me 5 hours to finish the course. I will not play here again.

this is a cool spot to practice . not really a challenge but fun to let it rip . it has really wide open fairways and hardly any trouble . its always eazy to get on and the price is reasonable . they just add gps to the carts so no matter where your 280 yard drive to the right goes youll still have a chance to save par .

Played 08/25 Sat. This is OK course. Don't expect too much from this course. This course is good for beginner... almost no OBs. Good place to practice or just go for a round. Pace are normally 5 hours. You go to this course to relax and just spend a quiet time and practice your shots. This course use to be very bad but since they changed the managements, it is improving. I was impressed when I visit here couple months ago. Last Saturday I saw another improvement on this course. They have installed a GPS system. Not that you need GPS on this course but seeing the managements trying to improve the course is very encouraging. Tee box areas were bad last Saturday and couple of greens really need TLC, but overall it was good. I will definitely play again just to see what else the managements will improve on this course. I will give GK rating of 5.0 - a OK course to play. Lastly, I waited only 5 minutes and they let me out. Awesome!

A very boring course IMO. 40 yard wide fairways means you can hook and slice the hell out of your tee shot and can still take full swings to advance the ball. Basically no penalty for errant shots. The greens are really boring too. Mostly just flat with little break or elevation change. So if you're a long hitter, you can score well. Accuracy is not a premium on this course.

Having Played most of my golf at Whittier Narrows since I played high school golf from 2001-2004 I pretty much know the courses. Mountain is a long 9 hole with about 3 to 4 holes with some dog legs. Course can get backed up at times and I can honestly say this course is the least maintained. I feel that the Pine Course gets most of the attention since its the 18 hole. Very long course. I recommend you ride, but I have walked it which isn't that bad if you are in shape!!! :)). Hazards beware of some shrubbery. Once the ball gets in there, you may not find it. No water hazards but the bunkers can be a joy to get out of at times. I have played both numerous times and enjoy Pine the best!!!

Played Sat 06/02. I haven't played here for long time. I drop by 10:45am and the starter able to send me out within 5 minutes! Wow.. I usually had to wait at least an hour before I had to go back and remind the starters. Overall course conditions are good. Somehow they have maintained the course well. Fairways are good and the greens are well maintained but bit soft. I use to see bare spots on the greens but I didn't see any bare spots on the greens this time. Bunkers are still hard soil but I could work around them. I was impress by the improvement of the course maintenance... course is still just OK. I give three GK stars.

played the mountain 9 holes side friday. pretty much wide open as usual. $10.50 walking twilight. 4 of us finished in about 2 hours.

course is in decent shape right now. people who know this course know its ok right now. others expecting a perfect course are in for a rude awakening. this is a high volume public (beginner more or less) course. pace is sometimes very slow but on the most part its ok.

tee boxes were just soso right now. can use some work

fairways were ok. very wide protected by trees. grass is pretty green again with a few dirt spots.

rough was typical crap grass with dirt areas

greens are pretty slow right now, but on the most part are smooth. i saw very few ball marks

overall its playing in decent shape right now. just dont go expecting a great course.

ha ha ha welcome to the new ownership way of producing golf. Eveyone complained about the conditions when palmergolf managed it. now look what it has become once a private small family runs it. Palmer wasn't so bad where they?
I told you this was going to happen in a review about a year ago. Look at the thread reviews and you can read it then. the course will continue to do a down ward spiral to destruction.

Horrible conditions, almost unplayable. You hit a good tee shot into the "fairway" just to see it shoot off to the right or left after hitting a clump of weeds or whatever. Chipping around the greens terrible. Tee boxes & greens fair to poor, but what's really awful are the fairways - several types of grass, clumps of weeds, bare spots all over the place. It makes for a very tough, long round. This place makes Alondra look like Trump National....

First time on this course. While the service was outstanding and very polite the tee boxes and fairways could use a major improvement. Every tee box seem like I was teeing my ball from the rough. The fairways were patchy and bare on most of the course. Greens were okay but need some improvements. Still a good deal for $27.00 with a cart. All in all a good course. I will play here again once the tee boxes and fairways get some attention.

Played Tues 12/26 Tee time was for 7:30 AM, got off at 7:40. Two 5somes in front of us, and Yes we were also a 5some. I can just hear some of you now "Oh No! this is going to be a Hell of a round". Played front 9 in 2hr10min, finished round in 4hr30min, how is that possible? all played ready golf. The two sets of 5ers in front of us came together, some sort of friendly tourney, the ones directly in front of us at onetime were one hole behind, but caught up within 3 holes.

Anyway, course was not up to par, fairways were thin, lots of dry spots, lots of divots with no sand. The greens were in decent shape, green, lush, a bit bumpy, but majority of ball marks were fixed. Paid $21.50 to walk, $33 with cart. Staff was friendly, but did not see a marshall on the course.

Played twilight here on Sunday November 12th. We started about 15 minutes late. It was a little slow playing. It took us about 2 1/4 - 2 1/2 hours to play 9 holes. Course overall is ok. There were a lot of unrepaired ball marks on the greens. The fairways were overall in good shape although it was a bit wet and dry in spots. The tee areas were a bit uneven to tee off. Greens are really small here. Not bad for $20 twilight rate with cart.

Played here late October 2006 and was not impressed. Our twosomes were made into 5 and the pace of play was slow! Our tee time was 1:15 but got started 1:30 because the foursomes in front of us were slow. I don't know if the course was challenging or this course attracted a lot of beginners because of the cheap green fees ($36 w/cart). The greens were bumpy and a lot of ball marks were not repaired. The tee boxes had a ton of divots and was so uneven. The layout is kinda wacky too. Hardly any hazards except for dried up canals. Not picturesque, that's for sure.

We got what we paid for... Definitely avoid this place if you don't like slow play and iffy lies.

in regards to peacetrain. yes, it's true. palmer sold it remainder of thier lease to another company. Palmer has decided to make a change in thier portfolio from manage contracts to ownership. They have dumped thier interest in all county GC's. Victoria sold off too. The county believes all thier golf courses should be maintained to "augusta" standards which they should but you can't do that on the 21.00 green fee. it's not profitable to be involved with these types of contracts. so they dumped them. but it's not going to get better. when palmer pulled out it also took with it it's huge buying power for products and huge discounts. one off companies won't be able to do it any cheaper. there is one born every minute.

Teed off before 2pm today and finished in about 4.5 hrs...Breezed through the front nine but the back nine was kinda slow...Greens have recovered nicely from the recent aeration, a bit slow but not too bad...Fairways and rough are decent and so are the tee boxes and the bunkers...Not a bad value since they include a T-Bone lunch on Tuesdays for only $27...Wide open course off the tee so you can just grip it and rip it all day long...
Now if only I can make a birdie putt I'd be a real player!!! Will be back next week...

A simple what you see is what you get golf course is W.N. 6819 yards is somewhat long so go ahead and let it fly on this wide open course. Fairways today were in good shape. The greens were very slow but not too bumpy. There are a lot of unlevel tee boxes here, strange for a flat course. The 219 yard 7th and the 473 yard par 4 8th are tough.

Loved this course! I was concerned in the beginning - the course was long and it didn't look well tended. However, after 18 holes, I fell in love with the long, straight, and forgiving fairways. It's a good course to practice. The greens weren't bad at all. I also enjoyed the large chipping green. Will definitely play here again.

Haven't played this course since I first began playing golf over 5 years ago, and I know why I stopped playing here. Played here Nov. 6. Worst kept golf course, next to Azusa Greens, I've ever played. No knowing where the fringe and the rough begins and ends. The fairway was just like playing on somebody's crappy lawn. The tee boxes were being reseeded, but couldn't really tell they were. Might as well just tee off the rough. They placed the temp. tees on the slope of tee-box so couldn't get a decent lie or stance to tee off. The greens were bumpy and a couple had crab grass growing in. The pace was slower than I'm used to (5 hours?) People don't know how to keep the pace when drinking and smoking and hacking up the course more than it already is. The range ran out of balls to hit (I've never heard that.) You know it's bad when even the starter is complaing about the maintenance of their own course. Should have saved my money and played Pico Rivera par 3. Not worth the $40 to play in the condition this course is in. Someone needs to contact Arnie's company and shut this place down for a whole revamping of this course. It could be a nice course if they took the right steps to redo the whole course. What is it with the courses in that area charging well over $40 (Montebello?) when one can play better rated courses just outside of that city for a few buck more? (Los Serranos, San Dimas, Marshall Canyon, Santa Anita, Alhambra, Wilson-Harding) Ripping off people! I'll never come back to this course unless they shut it down and fix it correctly!

played the same day as the last posting, 10-16-2005. Started earlier, in the Diamond Bar Men's Club Sunday Skins.

Greens rolling alright.....a little too slow.....they need to hand out repair tools here. I shot a 81 with two triple bogies and one double bogey, my worst score in about two months. It was raining here and there and there were lots of soggy spots on the fairways and plenty more in the rough. I had a couple other bogies, but made 3 birdies. I think I won closest to the pin on #4. I'm still waitng for the results.

We waited for the first few groups to come in, and two of my three birdies were holding up with only one or two groups left out on the course. If they do hold up, with the closest to the pin and two skins I just about broke even. I'll just have to call up my tournament commitee chairperson and find out what happened.

Good course. We played the longer combo...which is it? River-Pine? Creek-Valley? Mountain-Lake? I dunno.....the longer one, whichever combination that is!! Good Driving range but be prepared with one dollar bills o feed the range machine. No tokens here!!

Last time I played here was about a year ago. Course has improved since then. A couple of the holes have been lengthened, the fairways and bunkers are in good condition, and the play is a lot faster than before. It used to take 5 1/2 hrs to finish 18 holes, and now it only takes 4 1/2 hrs. Course is not bad for the price- $37, which includes cart and lunch.

Play on August 14 for twilite rate. d%mn sure I made tee time one week earlier, but when I show up, there was none :-@.

Was able to walk in to Mountain/River, but be carefull when you pay. The starter is shaddy enough that he will charge you for cart rate instead of walking rate. It only $1.50 different but still principal wise, he should give you walking rate instead of golf cart rate.

The course ran out of Carts and pushing back people tee times.
The Mountain course green are terrible and bumpy, on some of the river course fairways holes have TONS of holes from squirels, it even have some holes in the bunkers. Green was pretty good though.

We played on Saturday and had a wonderful time. The all inclusive fee of $35 after 10 was well worth it. Course was in great shape - tee boxes trim - greens well manicured and rolling very nicely (I one putted 12 of 18 holes) - the pace moved fairly well. We played 18 holes (PINE/RIVER) in less than 6 hours. We ate good - cheeseburgers & hotdogs, chips & lemonade both before and during. It was GREAT!!! I would recommend Whittier Narrows to all "Angelenos", you've gotta play it at least once.
I wonder why Arnold Palmer is selling it - if you ask me he's got a great thing going over there. Good Luck !!!

I'd played here on Tuesday afternoon at 3:00 pm. I didn't have a tee time and decided to walk on. Twillight was only $20 to ride. Awesome deal!!! Front nine was great...greens was good but rolled kinda slow. The back nine was horrible because the greens were being aerated. Sand everywhere...it was like putting in powered snow. Not bad for the $$$ but even better in 6-8 weeks. Had a great time...the round only took 3 1/2 hr to finish...hard to do that on a L.A golf course.

Played Saturday afternoon, and I don't think I will be back. The course plays very slow, three hours to play front nine, then there was a three groups waiting on the 10th tee. We moved to the moutain nine and played that. That was a mistake, that nine should be called the hackers nine. I got into a sand trap that I could not get out of because the sand looked like a funnel. It was hard packed and everything went to the middle of the trap where the ball is at lest eight inches below your feet and no way to get a club on it. And what is with a 409 yard par 5? Never have seen anything like it. When we arrived at the course and checked in with the starter he told us to wait because he had paper work to do, it took us another 10 minutes for us to tell him our name. I paid only half price ($26) because of a Red-Dot discount, and I think I was a sucker for paying it.

The first regular-size course I ever played. I played on 3/6 after not having played there in probably 10-12 years. I remembered it as a long, flat course, but there were nuances to the course I had forgotten about. I like the palm trees that can get in the way of a pulled shot on the par 4, 387-yd 4th hole. There's the hill you should hit over, that's more intimidating then it should be, on your tee shot on the par 4, 361-yd 6th hole. The gigantic par 4 463-yd, eighth hole, where you're in a huge tree jail if your tee shot goes off to the right. Staring directly into the sun in the afternoons on the par 4, 374 yd 17th hole (or 8 on "Pine" as it's now called) and burning your retinas out. The greens are old-fashionably small, especially noticeable on the par 5s. They played slow, but were smoother than I remembered. Bunkers had more sand then I remembered as well. After the rains, there were some puddles in the fairways. The stretch of holes from 12 thru 14 were especially wet. A lot of the tee boxes were uneven...many times I felt like I was hitting off of a sidehill draw lie. As part of a tournament, play was excruciatingly slow. The round easily took six hours, with groups packed in by lemmings. A marshal mentioned that the management company was changing in the next couple of months, with Arnold Palmer golf selling off its properties in California. So it will be interesting what affect the new management company will have on the course. The course was in much better shape than it was in the late '80s-early '90s, when for a time it seemed like a scene from the Oklahoma Dust Bowl.

Played River/Pine Sunday 2/27 early am. I would give the overall condition of the course a 6.
- There were some puddles and fairways were a little soggy.
- Greens were nice and rolled nicely.
- Tee boxes were a little shaggy but understandable considering all the rain.
- Sand was also pretty good. I only noticed one bunker with a puddle, #3 Pine.

It was just nice to get out and play.

Course is still recovering from the storms. Course looks greener but not leveled and lush. The best attribute to this course are the greens. They are well kept but very slow and bumpy. They will be mowing them tomorrow. Good course for what it is, you know you pay for what you get.

Went out the first saturday after the heavy rain. Horrible customer service. Twilight hours change but I made my reservation one week in advance and they were going to charge me full price to play twilight. Good thing one of the guys in the pro-shop caved in after everyone in my foursome decided to leave. driving range is not grass they are all mats and need to be replaced. cheap golf balls though. Course is nice when not wet. The fairways need to have a better drainage system. Most of the fairways were flooded on the back 9. Good thing we didn't pay full price because we didn't get to finish only up to the 16 hole. The pace of play was horrible. They need to marshals out on the course not chatting with the snack cart girl. Tee boxes are terrible. Not a single leveled tee box. LA muni courses are a lot better in that aspect. Greens are decent. This is not a hard course but DO NOT GO WHEN IT RAINS or AFTER IT RAINS!!!!! Watch out for the Two korean starters. They are just D_ _KS! Not worth the drive from West LA. Should have gone to Rancho Park and spent the extra 6 bucks and walked.

I've been playing this course since 1969, (About once a year) and while it is never is "pristine condition", in all fairness, it is way better than it used to be back in the 70's & 80's. I guess because I never expect a lot, I never leave disappointed, or as one of my playing companions said "it's a great twenty dollar course", which we really need a lot more of.

Played Monday the 13th.: The course is very wide and very little trouble to get into. I played the River / Pines combo which is the longest option to play. This course has some long par 4's that make up the challange. I played on the Monday special $23 inc. cart Breakfast & Lunch. It is an Arnold Plamer managed course , & designed by Willam Bell. A great course to have fun on!

Great deal. I went Wed morning at 7. Got a free breakfast, played 18, then free lunch. All for $24 with a cart. Easy course. I am a beginner, and played about 10 courses, and got my best score here. Wide fairways. Only problem was with the uneven and bad grassed tee boxes.

This course is in great shape and is excellent for beginners due to the extremely wide fairways. Intermediate and Advanced players should look elsewhere for a challenging game, though. This is more of a go out with a few buddies and have a lazy day at the course.
Personally, I think this is the most boring course I have ever played and there are much better courses for the $36 you pay here and even less. There's a Par 3 I play at in Pomona that gave me a rougher time than Whittier. All in all, I am not particularly fond of Narrows, though it's a nice place to have a no-brainer game of golf once in a while.

WHAT A SURPRISE ! ! THIS WAS A VERY NICE COURSE. I WAS REALLY PLEASE WITH MY OVERALL EXPERIENCE HERE A THE "NARROW'S".
THE GREEN WAS WHERE ONLY $26, WHICH INCLUDED MEALS, YES MEALS, WITH AN "S". IF YOU GET STARTED EARLY ENOUGH, YOU CAN HAVE BREAKFAST, LUNCH/SNACK AT 9, THEN LUNCH WHEN YOU FINISH. WHAT A DEAL ! RANGE BALLS ARE ALSO INCLUDED, SO YOU DO GET A OVERALL GOLF EXPERIENCE. OH, I'M SUPPOSE TO RATE THE GOLF COURSE. THE OVER COURSE IS IN GREAT CONDITION FOR A MUNI. THE FAIRWAYS ARE IN GOOD CONDITION EXCEPT FOR A COUPLE OF HOLE WITH EXCESSIVE WATER, DUE TO A COUPLE OF FAULTY SPRINKLERS. WATER SETTLEMENT DID COME INTO PLAY WITH A FEW OF MY DRIVES/STROKES, BUT I PLAYED "WINTER RULES" AND MOVED MY BALL. THE GREENS WHERE IN REALY GOOD CONDITION . SAND TRAPS WERE IN GOOD CONDITION WITH GOOD QUALITY SAND FILLED IN THEM. THIS COURSE IS PLAYER FRIENDLY, BECAUSE IT IS WIDE OPEN. SCORING WILL BE LOW. GOOD LUCK AND HAVE FUN.

Played on 3/14 with my usual foursome. The course conditions are actually very good. Greens are medium speed with minimal ball mark damage. Faiways are lush with minimal divot damage. Tee boxes are so-so with some divot damage and uneven lies. The challenge is the slow play, it took us 5.5 hours to complete the round. We waited on every hole to take our tee shots and approches. The rude starter kept yelling through the PA in order to enforce starting times by asking groups on the tee to tee off ASAP.

March Madness deal. $34 included range balls, food and cart. Get there early. They stop serving breakfast at 10 and the driving range is extremely crowded. Very friendly staff. Course conditions is actually very good with the exception of one green on the pine course. Unfortunately the pace of play was very slow. It took a half hour between the time we teed off from the first to second tee. The group in front of us dressed in basketball gear had to play from the blue tees. Whenever they hit a wayward ball(many) they would get out of their carts, wander around for 50 yards find their ball then wander back to their cart. The foursome in front them also playing from the blues, couldn't keep up with the group in front of them. That group included 2 short hitting lady walkers. The threesome behind us almost hit us twice from behind. Ettiquette not taken very seriously here. Overall the round took a little over 5.5 hours. Hard to complain about $34. Will i come back?

Course okay, hardly any marshalls around, the small nine hole course was in poor condition, alot of puddles and very damp toward the last 4 holes. The servers at the coffee shop were slow, caused me to be late with my tee time. Overall, the two courses are definitely worth its price,... Cheap.

This course is under the management of the Arnold Palmer Management Corporation. According to the other 3 members of my foursome this morning, this course has come along ways in playability and customer service. They had played this course before and this was my first. One of the players lives just across the street (lucky him) and the rest of us traveled to the course this morning from Valencia for a 07:02 hrs tee off time.

Checking in at the pro shop was a pleasant experience for a change. The folks behind the counter were in a great mood, and moved everyone along in a timely manner. Just FYI, this pro shop is really well stocked with golf accessories (variety of golf ball brands, cigars!!, shirts, etc).

If your hungry or thirsty, there's a small restaurant to satisfy your needs.

The pace of the morning moved along just fine. We finished our 18 holes in 4 hrs 15 min. Here's some of the positives: All greens were in a.avg to excellent conditions, smooth and a tad on the fast side at times; The sand traps (I managed to enter 3 of them today) were excellent with great sand and easy to escape out of and onto the green. Fairways avg to a.avg and medium to wide.

Negatives: Tee boxes are thin, bare, and need a great deal of leveling here and there. I believe we had one temporary tee box. Did not notice a marshall all day, but again did not need one with the pace moving along just fine. The practice greens were in great condition too.

They have an interesting deal that would be great if you live locally. I believe for approximately $29 a month, you receive unlimited time and balls on the driving range, and golf carts are free with a paid round. You may want to give them a call just to verify though. Sounds good to me if I just lived nearby!!

Other than that, it was peacefull and most enjoyable this morning, and I will definitely be back again to play this course.

Water water everywhere the range was a mess never again hitting in standing water not at all fun. The play was slow and if not with someone who knew the course things were not well identified. Fairways bare and very bumpy and the greens were not well kept. We fixed more ball marks then made.
This course needs a little help.

Palyed today 8-14 and finished 18 in under 4 hours. Only problem was at turn where a group of 12 got in front and the marshals did nothing about it. Apparently it was a weekly group and they get the run of the course. Do not expect to see marshals on the course as they stay where it is cool and not in the sun.

Long course with wide open fairways. Popular course which can lead to slow play on the weekends. You can definitely hit your driver on most par 4's and par 5's since the fairways are wide open. Well maintained greens and interesting layout.
