Haven’t played here in several years but what great condition the course was in. Fairways and rough very green and lush. Greens firm and running fast with several run offs on most greens. Was not in any traps but they are working on many of them and marked GUR. Great customer service no cart person although they provide complementary bottled water. If you get the chance to play this course I highly recommend it.

We played here yesterday in a SCGA outing teeing off at 10:30. This is only my second time playing here so I didn't remember too much about it. Let me first say that it was a hot day and the carts were limited to "cart path only" and with very few water stations made for a tough 4.5 hour day. No one played particularly well in my group due to the heat.
Conditions were nice throughout with the greens being the highlight. They were smooth, held shots, and rolled at a decent pace. The fairways and tee boxes were all in nice shape with only a few areas needing attention. The sand was a little inconsistent but was very playable for the most part. This course isn't very long but it is engaging and fun. Bunkers are strategically placed and there is water on a few holes. I would would to play here again under "cooler" conditions.
Side note: the course took everyone's name and has pledged to give each player an embroidered towel which was a nice touch!

Fate came together when a late work call in the Westlake Village area happened to perfectly correspond with a late tee time offer to play with a friend at Calabasas Country Club this week. My friend's buddy has limited membership at the course that allows him to play once a month and invite guests. Lucky me. And this premium course was only $73 to play, which was a steal for the quality and beauty of this track. Previous reviews of this course (somewhat dated to be fair) certainly did not get to see CCC in all its pomp and glory, because what I found was one of the most perfectly manicured and engaging, tough layouts that I've ever played. The first few holes are very narrow and challenging, but then the course opens up somewhat, but still challenges you with elevations, devious bunkers and many hidden or unhidden water obstacles (including a meandering creek on the back nine that comes into play on a few holes) just waiting to eat up anything not perfectly placed. Each hole is vividly unique and it's a pure joy to get to each new tee box and see the spectacular field open up in front of you. Conditions, as previously stated, are currently excellent from tee to green. The greens are scandalously difficult - not only because of their variable speeds depending on if you're above or below the hole, but the breaks are incredibly subtle to recognize and easy to underestimate. But they're in absolutely phenomenal shape and fun as all get out to play. Fairways are the lush green carpet one expects to see at a club of this caliber. Never a bad lie all day. It's cut down to perfection, while the rough is deep and challenging in most areas, but also forgiving in a few others. Tee boxes (we played from the tips which are actually only 6200 yards but you'll feel like it's 7000) are in great shape with a great variety of starting positions, while the bunkers are all in very good condition perhaps only missing a tiny layer of more sand. POP was great as expected. The clubhouse is currently being renovated so there's a lot of construction going on right now, but it does not have any impact on the course fun whatsoever. The driving range is grass and a little on the short side, but nothing to complain about at all. And did I mention how much fun this layout is? Easily (and unexpectedly) slips into one of my top 15-20 courses ever played and I really can't wait to get back out there and have a better round with some course knowledge now. It's a can't miss destination if you can get out there.

Played here yesterday in an SCGA outing or $60 with cart and range balls. Since this was my first time playing here I was excited to get out and play. Let me say this about this track, it has many fun and interesting holes. Still of shorter par 5 that can be reached in two by seniors over 55 and a good variety of holes of different lengths. The conditions there where not what you would expect from a private course. The fairways were spotty, tee boxes were too, the bunkers had nice sand but many had gopher holes and were left unraked. The greens were the best part. They ran smooth and were medium speed and putted well. We all really enjoyed our round here but felt the conditions needed more attention but the layout really kept us engaged for most of the day. For $ 60 we will be back.....

Overall course condition was better a few years back when I first played but still decent and playable. Course plays pretty tight for the most part. Best part was the greens. Receptive, smooth and immaculate. The maintenance seem to be watering them every few hours maybe due to the warm weather on Sunday but they were always doing it without interrupting play.

They had bottled water available on the range, on the course and the marshal offered free Gatorade. Carts have GPS and cooler filled with bottle water as well.

Despite having to wait on most holes, we finished a little over 4 hours which was great considering the course was quite busy.

Practice facility included limited distance all grass driving range, a couple of short game chipping area and 2 putting surfaces for practice.
