Played here 3 times in last 10 days close to where I live and had some very low greens fees from teeoff deal times wit extra % off. Course is getting plenty of water so some fairways have some wet areas--otherwise generally have good cover and good lies--a few thin areas and the occasional bare patch as well as some gopher/ground squirrel action here and there.(Need more raptor/owl coverage for population control). Rough is responding very well to the extra water and has become more penal. Tees vary from ok to thin or shaggy with some uneven areas depending on marker placement. Bunkers--the good news many have new sand--the bad news many have new sand that needs more grooming and attention as the sand is thick and heavy and often uneven. Greens play better than they look some are multi-colored and have what appears to be different varieties of grass. According to Jose the excellent greenskeeper the re-claimed water is not always consistent as to ph or chemical content. POP generally uner 4 unless you get behind a ssslow 4 some that is 2+ holes behind and clueless as to how many groups are waiting behind them. Staff members are friendly and welcoming.

played here 3 times in last week---its close and mostly good POP. Fairways have remained in overall good shape with just the beginning of some browning on a couple of areas. Rough is very healthy about 2 inches and quickly stops forward progress. Recovery could be challenging depending on how deeply the ball settled.
Bunkers varied as to quality and quantity of sand. Tees are often sloped or crowned and par 3s are getting quite beaten up.
Greens are getting better, notwithstanding the mottled coloring, rolling medium fast and smoothly for the most part.
At this time it appears that the course is initiating some renovations and improvements.

6/7 using teeoff deal time 1$16 with discount--POP just under 4hr. Playing as a 2some had some waiting but not bad overall. Fairways remain in good shape tending to be rather wet in places from the abundant over night watering. Rough cut to about 1-2 inches along fairways and longer closer to the greens--degree of challenge was dependent on the exact lie, sometimes sitting up and others sinking deep.
Bunkers were mostly groomed and looked a little better than they played, looking to have more sand but often thinish over hard pack needing more of a square/closed club face to avoid the deadly bounce with out sand shot. Tees have some issues with slope as a factor depending on marker placement and not generally aesthetically pleasing but playable.
Something is going on with the greens as they are often multi colored and appear to have different grasses and show more evidence of post punching than a week ago with areas of dark green quarter size circles. Even with the uneven appearance they rolled pretty well and were smoother overall than would be expected from the look.

5/24 using teeoff deal time $17 rate--POP 350 but felt longer as we waited on the 4some we caught on 6 then really waited on a deliberate "we play slow and dont care" 2some that let them through on 9. to be fair they did offer to let us go but my partner thought we would just get sandwiched, but after watching their behaviors I was going to ask if the offer was still good as they were on the white tees on 10. I went up to the blue tee which is 15-20 yards back and 10-15 yards off to the side just check where the 4some was(already on the next tee). At that point this guy starts yelling to not stand behind him and to get back in the cart--so I guess it was not a good time to ask to play through. Fairways remain in pretty good shape ok lies overall. rough cut down to about an inch but still a challenge when the ball sank down. Tees not so good mostly thin and some on slopes. In the bunker on 3, looked ok but was groomed sand over hardpack. Greens medium fast with occasional bumpiness. They have been cut but not yet rolled. Friendly staff.

5/17 using teeoff $19 on a really nice sunny sometimes breezy spring day. Easy check in off early with a 320 POP waiting briefly on 17. Fairways have good cover were somewhat on the soft side so mostly limited roll. Rough along fairways was cut down to about 1 inch but there were occasional areas of longer thicker grasses. Areas closer to the greens also tended to be deeper and more challenging. Tees were inconsistent and mostly on the thin side with some markers placed on sloped areas. Bunkers also varied from full and groomed to thin and packed.
Greens are at least 90% recovered with little evidence of being punched 4/29 and 30. However they were not yet closely mowed and rolled so they were a little bumpy with more grain and are softer currently. Rolling medium/medium fast.

It's been 14 years since my last visit to Shorecliffs, which I recall being the day with the single largest accumulation of goose poop in recorded history. 14 years later, no goose poop!

First, the obvious, the course has lost two holes to landslide, and has turned two Par 5s into two 4s and two 3s for an 18 hole course of max 5700 yards. The reported strength of Shorecliffs are the greens, unfortunately they were punched and sandy today, and did not roll straight.

But, shocking myself, I enjoyed the day. I had low expectations. OK, well below low. But the course was still a decent way to get out and hit the ball around. Of course, it didn't hurt that after a GolfNow Hot Deal and a $10 GolfNow reward, I played 18 for less than a large range bucket.

I'd like to see them sell off a few holes and turn the remaining land into a fun 4000-5000 yard course a la Casta Del Sol, Goat Hill, etc.

4/12 using GSC $21 with range token easy POP of 330 after passing a 4some on the turn. For the most part the course is good shape with the fairways filled in nicely, mowed and outlined by well maintained rough--very pleasing to the eye. Had very good fairway lies all day and depending on whether or not the ball sank down into the rough the degree of difficulty varied accordingly. Bunkers varied from rather thin to filled with deep mostly heavy sand both of which was playable but required a different shot choice. Tees were the weakest part as some were sloped. Most had ok cover with some divot areas on the par 3s.
Greens played better than they looked having some discoloration and intrusion of poa. Over all rolled well at medium fast speed. Front flags are downright treacherous if above the hole.

3/1 played here 3 times over the last 10 days or so. The greens have been consistently good, healthy grass and well maintained, rolling smoothly at medium fast speeds, holding full shots but being pretty quick for chips and pitches. Greens are for sure some of the best around.
Fairways are still wet in some areas but are recovering nicely. About 60% of the time you will get a really good lie in the fairway proper. A 1 1/2- 2 inch rough borders most fairways. The wetter areas are often patchy rough up to 3 inches in length. Some lies can been quite penal.
Bunkers now are groomed and most in ok to good condition with some thin areas at the bottom of some. Tees are mostly ok with some slope issues depending on marker placement.
Playing at about 8 am POP has averaged 320

1/8 fast front 9 then had to wait on the last as caught a slow 4some who showed poor golf etiquette by driving where ever they wanted. Course was still pretty wet in places but provided mostly decent lies needing only a few LCPs. Tees needed mowing and bunkers had not yet been groomed. Greens were really good, mowed and rolled quite smoothly, receptive but still at a good medium fast pace. $ for $ best greens time after time.
