First out on an unexpected uncrowded Sunday. Overall the course is in good condition. Having played the North course most recently, the green speeds are slower than the North, so took a hole or two to adjust. They rolled well, and very receptive - just not fast. Fairways have good coverage. Bunkers, tee boxes also very good.

A lot of sprinklers running this morning. With the heat forecast over the next few days, I could understand the necessity. Made things interesting trying to avoid them however.

Out early on another overcast morning. Very busy today as only one course was open due to the ladies having a member-guest on the North Course. The South is in very nice condition right now. Greens not as quick as I expected, but still had decent pace and were receptive to well struck shots. Good coverage in the fairways, tee boxes and bunkers excellent.

Since we have had zero hot weather this year, the fairways are holding up very well. Let's see what happens if/when we get the "normal" summer weather typical to Coto

Out early on an overcast morning, which midway through the round turned into rain. Really, this is May in Southern California, it's not supposed to rain at this time year? Kind of busy this morning to my surprise.

Course is actually in pretty nice overall condition right now. The greens have recovered nicely from the recent aeration. Fairways have good coverage, tee boxes very good, bunkers are excellent. Only area not great is the rough which tends to be inconsistent.

If we ever get some sunny warm weather, the course should get even better.

First time back out on the South since they punched greens. Also, because of the rains, the course has been cart path only for what seems like forever, but today only 3 holes were CPO. Greens still had plenty of residual sand, but rolled surprisingly true, but were sooooo slow. Plus in the morning, when the ball is wet, you find a ring of sand on your ball when it settles, so if you don't clean it, the ball becomes unputtable. Fairways were pretty dry, just some of the entrances to them were wet, so as long as you're careful, no reason to continue CPO.

Bunkers, and tee boxes excellent. Rough is just so-so. Because of the greens, not very busy. Since maintenance are not mowing greens because of all the sand, no distractions this morning, which was a nice benefit.

Nice to get out on time and without any cart path restrictions, much to my surprise. Course conditions have not changed much over the past few weeks. While there is nothing "bad" about the course, I would have expected with all the recent rains and CPO restrictions, things would have improved?

Greens rolled well and decent pace. Fairways for the most part have good coverage, but still have too many bare areas. Bunkers and tee boxes remain good. I have noticed that the volume of play on the South course appeared to have decreased, which would just one more reason I would have expected better conditions. Let's hope with the warmer weather on the way, things will improve

Because of all the frost delays and rain, which requires carts on path, I have not played recently on the South course. Yes, there was a frost delay this morning again, but only for one hour, and since it was not very crowded, was able to get out on the South.

The course was in better shape than I expected, in fact, better condition than the North. Greens were not as fast as the North, but still had decent speed. With the exception of of a few bare areas, the fairways were the best I'd seen them in some time. It's amazing how some rain and carts on path can improve conditions. Overall, the course was very nice and a pleasure to play. Just looking forward to some warmer weather so I can get out on this course more often without delays.

Out early this morning on what I'm certain will be the last round on the South Course for some time, with all the rain forecast. (Once the rain arrives, this course will be closed and or cart path only for a long time.) Right now, just three holes CPO.

Greens rolled very well and had decent pace. Generally, the fairways are OK, but still are rather thin in spots. Bunkers and tee boxes are very good. Rough is a mixed bag, with inconsistent textures. Hoping that if we get the rains, and with luck followed by some warmer weather/sun, the grass will begin to take hold and fill in all the thin spots.

Had not played the South course for almost three weeks. Only recently have they allowed carts off the path, so I guess my expectations regarding the condition of the fairways were too high, because I was not impressed. Too many bare areas and even the areas which were not bare, were inconsistent. Greens still did not appear to be fully recovered from the aeration, but they did roll better than they looked and were much quicker than they appeared. Tees and bunkers remain in nice condition.

Overall, the course just does not provide "a country club feel". Many of the areas adjacent to the course itself give an unkept appearance. That is not the case on the North course, so not sure why the South has been allowed to lend itself to this condition?

Optimal course conditions have returned to the South course 2-3 weeks after reopening due fairway overseeding and greens aeration. Tees are in good shape. Fairways are generally in good shape however the rye didn't completely take in some areas or the Bermuda grass was just too strong to let the rye thru. Probably could have used more rye seed. Still soft in fairways, very little roll, a lot of mud balls. Greens: Getting their speed back. Around 11 on stimp. Receptive to approach shots but you can also hit bump and run chip shots. Fringes are 10-15 ft' wide in most spots which is puzzling. Rough is dormant, thick bermuda and ball will either sink to bottom or perch up on top. It's the only defense on the course right now so 2-3" is a challenge, especially around the greens as it prevents poor chippers from putting the ball. Bunkers are inconsistent. Too much sand in spots next to feeling the gravel under you feet just yards away. Poor rake jobs. Carts on path except for two holes. Due to soft conditions and generally poor driving abilities of members this is a good idea. Half the membership doesn't fill in their divots despite sand bottles being provided and messages flashing every hole on cart GPS system. Sames goes for pitch mark repair on greens. Very enjoyable time. POP was 4 hours on Saturday morning.
