For the middle of the summer this course is in amazing shape. Even though you're paying a fraction of what people pay in the high season they still treat you like a valued customer. It was an absolute pleasure to play this course. Fairways are in fantastic shape, greens were nice (every course in the desert keeps their greens a little longer than normal in the summer months), track is excellent and the service was superb!

the premier facility in the coachella valley. this course and the celebrity course are must plays if you have the opportunity. forget the hype of pga west.

Played last Thursday, Friday, Saturday - June 17-19 - with 3 buds. Stayed at the Hyatt Grand Champions nearby. First class golf facility and resort. Great staff inside the clubhouse, at the bag/cart area and on the course. Temps in the low hundies, but had tons of water, iced towels and stations along both courses. Courses are beautiful to look at and occasionally treacherous to play. Tee boxes level and mostly pristine, with the Celebrity course appearing to get more play than the Players. Celebrity has more horticultural stuff, shorter, quirkier holes, and water. The Players is a "drivers" course where three-wood is the smart play many times. I preferred the Players but I think shorter hitters might have a better experience with the Celebrity. Played two man scramble part of Saturday which allowed for plalying all the different tee box configs. Have to admit that the forward three boxes (white, green, red) made the course seem way too short, bring in needless hazards and trick short, and made those holes play much less interesting; but to each his/her own. Greens were very fast, undulated and in great condition. Kind of crispy to the point that it was hard to detect and fix pitch marks. (Be careful not to "rip" the green with your fix it tool). The second round at Players yielded better scores simply because of the local knowledge on some of the blind-ish shots and pin placements. Electric carts had coolers and GPS, fairways marked as well. Cart dude/girls were super friendly, helpful and offered great beer deals on Friday(s). Saturday we got slowed by a local tournament and at the turn at Celebrity they offered us to switch to the Players and finish all 18 over there. Deal! No slow downs, could have played again. Smart course management. Drink a ton of agua. It's readily available. Fairways run from generous bomber's size to "put away that driver you idiot" skinny. Stay the bleep out of that gigantic barranca that runs down the center, or the walk back up the hill will cause you to be huffing and puffing while you play your next shot. The club house and restaurant bar were so nice we had dinner there one night. There's a nine hole putting course (lit up at night) for fun, but the better practice area is the large putting green near the chipping area closer to the first tees. Small but well marked and stocked range (no charge for balls - Callaway rangers). Great rates at least in the warm months. Re-play would have been $40. I love the heat out there. Recommend both courses. Have only played Plantation CC and the old Landmark course in the valley.

Played in the afternoon on 4/23/10, harded then the other course (a lot more bunker). $75.00 replay not bad.

Played 4/23/10 and all I can say is this is one of the best courses I have ever played! Everything is great from the first T to the last green.

Played Indian Wells Players on 3/29. Very nice course and not particularly what I expected. Being the first course I've ever played in Palm Springs I was expecting a desert layout. It's not that at all. Very green course with lots of tree, with great views of the mountains. Extremely tight fairways, which gave me fits all day. Conditions were excellent which seemed to be the norm in Palm Springs. Some blind tee shots which added difficulty to the tight fairways and would be much easier the second time, as I landed in water twice when I actually thought I hit a good shot. Nice course and would love to come back and get some revenge.

Excellent course! My 13 yr old son and I played the Celebrity Course two years ago and it was fantastic. The Players course however was just wonderfull and even better. Staff was was wonderfull!! We were playing in a tournament and had ordered lunch from the snack bar, when we were asked to catch up with the foursome in front of us. We were still waiting for our lunch order and staff volunteered to bring it to us while we played the next hole! Wow! That made an impression on my son and made me feel special. Even though both the Celebrity and Players course is top notch. I relized while driving home, that the reason I love playing there, is how well the staff takes care of there guest. I highly recommend this place. It worth the price and your time to go and play there.

Excellent practice/warm up fac, good solid layout from any tee you want, fun, challenging golf course. Clubs and ball washer, cooler and GPS on carts difficult to read, but sprinkler head distances for traditionalists. Great F&B at both grills. golfnow.com $59. Troon managed so you know what to expect. Definitely returning.

This is, no doubt, a top-notch facility and the course is ideally maintained. Is it the "best" course in the Palm Springs area? For my money, it's not, as I find courses like Desert Willow are more memorable - I'd say 1/2 of the holes were compelling and interesting while the others were straightforward yet still enjoyable. The last two holes are routed to the other side of the wash/basin and in doing so are next to the road and the hotel - this wasn't in keeping with the prior 16 holes and it was sort of a "strange" finish.

Would I play it again? Absolutely. Although next time around I'm going to try the other track which is reportedly more scenic.
