Played on April 15th and 16th 2008.
Greens were great, a few fairways were a bit bare in spots.

Would play again.

An oasis golf course built on the foot of the Santa Rosa Mountains. Many gorgeous views.

An early Pete Dye course (1981, I think). Currently in its immaculate playing course conditions when we played Monday, 04/21/08. A fantastic layout, but not an easy course by any means.

Oh boy, this was brutal - over 5 hours, teeing off at 8am on Saturday the 1st of September. The greens were in terrible shape, probably due to the course's inability to cut them too short because of the heat. They were bumpy and slow as sin. The worst, though, was the pace of play - I have played munis on Saturday afternoon that were faster.

Great golf course. Great layout. Lots of mounds and traps to penalize you for missed shots. Unfortunately for me, I a flat lie was a rarity on most holes. This course beat up on me pretty good, but I could see how it could get a tab bit easier the second time around once you know where the trouble is. Greens are elevated on most holes, so if you miss your approach shot, you'll have an upward pitch shot to the whole. Combine that with some medium/fast greens and its potential for trouble. A poor single that joined our group had four shots going back and forth on one hole. The course conditions were in great condition. Speed of play was around 4.5 hours, even with a bad round. Worth the summer green fee rate. Would probably play here again, hopefully with a better score.

Played 6/2. The greens on this course are superb. Very smooth and rolled nicely. The layout is quite challenging and is typical Pete Dye with tons of hills and bumps along the fairways. Most greens sit on top so short or long balls will roll down into collection areas or traps -- very challenging. A few gripes are that a majority of the tee boxes were unleveled. A few of the holes had unfair pin placements. Unfair in that holes were literally on the very ridge of a slope. We even heard other groups complain and marvel at the pin placements. Overall, fun course but the unleveled tee boxes and pin placements detracted a lot from the experience.

Absolutely beautiful!!!! Alot more fun to play than the Stadium or the Nicklaus courses.

didnt think that this course is that good. Very plain. Has some holes that have character, but not worth it if you drive from far away.
