"Decided to play a round last minute while on a weekend getaway with the wife. ("Honestly babe, the clubs are ALWAYS in the car! Isn't that convenient??!?") Desert Spring Palms is the more popular course...apparently it's in a little better condition than Valley is...but there was no waiting on this course. Played a round on my OWN in 2 1/2 hours. OK, I started at noon and it was 114 degrees, but still... I loved this course. If you can overlook that some greens had some really bad bare spots it's a really fun layout. I had my best round in months, even including the fact that I was getting heat stroke on the last three holes. Bonus: the cart girl saw my birdie...woohoo!!! (One last tip: stock up on water for the front nine. No fountains or anything although there were plenty on the back nine.)"
