Played on Sunday, August 12th for $26 at 730am. The Mountain Vista Golf Course is a Par 72, championship golf course comprised of two 18-hole courses within a retirement community in Palm Desert. We played the "Santa Rosa" course which has some good views of the nearby mountain ranges.

Our threesome played from the middle tees which is a relative short 5700 yards. Fairways, tee boxes and greens are in great condition for this time of the year. I didn't see any brown or bare spots all day. Fairways are generally wide and even errant tee shots usally don't penalize too severly. The greens are true but a little on the slow side. Lots of water and fountains thoughout and sand traps are shallow and easy to escape from.
This course is friendly for high handicappers and seniors. It isn't a tough golf test like nearby "Classic Club" or other tough desert courses.

Pace of play was good with a marshall bringing free bottled water throughout the round. Golf shop manager/starter was friendly and the service and food in the clubhouse was outstanding.

We really had an enjoyable time at Del Webb Mountain Vista and will return to play the "San Jacinto" course. I shot an 83 which is my best round to date.
