Played here for the first time on 9/20. Got a great deal for the later tee time. It was hot but playable. I enjoyed the varied holes and challenges this course provides. The staff was excellent, and the course conditions were great. I will definitely be back soon.

Played Sunday morning at 630am to avoid the extreme heat (112F today). Course is in good shape tee to green with the exception of some brown areas in the fairways (which is to be expected this time of year in the desert). Greens are smooth, medium/fast, and role true but they are very firm. This is a fun course that isn't too difficult. Water comes into play on about 1/2 the holes. Some greens are protected but you can run shots up onto the green on most holes. Played in under 3 hours paired up with one other person. Had a great time at the "Gary Player" and am looking foward to playing the "Pete Dye" soon. Good customer service at the Troon run Westin Mission Hills.

Played here on sunday at 7:30 in the morning. It was a little windy and and cold at first but it turned out to be a nice day after all. I wish these resort courses would invest in gps for their carts, it would make it a little easier than hunting yardage markers. That said, the course is in great shape and a very forgiving course at that. If you are in the area give it a try!

We always play the Player course when in Palm Springs because we enjoy the experience and because we get 50% off green fees as villa owners at the resort. This year we found the course to be in excellent shape as always but not as spectacular as Indian Wells Celebrity. The normal green fees on 1/1/08 were $165 which is not a good value. The pro shop/restaurant are almost embarrasing for a club that charges that much. Celebrity at $130 is a much better value. We also payed Tahquitz Resort for $59 at twilight and the consensus was that course was pretty close to comparable with Player. So I recommend this course if you can get on at a good price.

I truly liked this course. Pleasing to the eyes, and fun. The course was in great shape from tee to green. A few nice risk/reward holes. Customer service was good, normal stuff. The homes that surround the course are far enough off the fairways to not be in play, except if you have a major slice or hook. fairways are bordered by hills that put the ball back in play nicely. If the rough was thicker, this could be a very challenging course. Sand was good. Water comes into play on 10 holes, which makes you think a little off the tee. This is a anybody can play course, pick the correct tees for your game and you will have fun.

Played in my club's Championship weekned, played this course Saturday 6/9. Course is immaculate, and very tough, played from the back tees, over 7K yards, lots of water, bunkers, OB, but in really great shape

On Saturday March 10, 2007, we played the Gary Player Course. The course was in excellent shape. Both the fairways and Greens were outstanding. The Staff was very helpful in informing us about the course setup. We play our round in 4 hours and 20 mintes. We shall return.

played sat 11/18. Course just opened due to reseeding... Course in GREAT shape. Greens are SLOW. Didn't hit into any bunkers. Course more narrow than the Pete Dye course, but greens are flatter, and track is straightforward. Very nice course.

I played both courses this past weedend (8/25-8/27). Both were very nice. The Player course was not in the best shape. Many burn areas around the green and NO SAND in the bunkers. With a high lip on one of the traps I found, the club bounced right off the bottom like I was hitting off the cart path. not good. Greens were thick and slow. The Pete Dye was in real good shape. Nice cuts, greens smooth, not fast at all. Two very pretty golf courses. The rooms are hit and miss. Get one on the second floor if you can, you'll sleep better! Don't think I'll be back.

'Played the Westin Mission... Gary Player on an early Wenesday morning 06-21-06. Great staff that feeds a guest all the right information a player might be looking for. This is a player's course. The men's club are fine group of folks themselves. The boys/players are just fine... The course was in great condition, it plays real well, sort of nostalgic... like the fairways fades into a green. A great layout! As I am not talking about good scenery or waterfalls and flower beds. A Good Course!
Thanks.

Labor day package with family accomodated in westin mission hills hotel and played this famous course (LPGA NABISCO) at sunday 9/4/05 8;00 a.m. Played at gold tee of +6500yards ?
Nothing complainable about golf course conditions, kind & dedicated Starter working hard to coordinate the tee times & pace of play that we saw & conversed with him more than 4 times during the round, something unusual at any public courses. As he said summer season's peak time in palm springs is from sunrise to 9;30 or 10;00 a.m after that hour rarely people play cause of strong sun & obviously high temperature.
Very well maintained course.

Played the Player course Saturday, June 18 in a charity tournament. The Player course was in very good shape, tee boxes and fairways plush. Greens rolled nice but looked faster than they rolled. Most of the time you'll read more break into a put than is necessary. Nice course and nice service. The weather last Saturday was perfect in the desert, 95 with a little breeze!
