This course is probably the worst one in my area. I played around 2:30 pm and the course was saturated and muddy in alot of areas. Alot of bare spots on the tee boxes and fairways, this course would never be described as having lush fairways. Instead of the range I played the course to tune up for my Vegas trip and I forgot how much I hate the design of the front 9. Driving range is lame and the balls have been used since world war II. There was a lot of kind people out on the course that let me pass through, so my round was pretty fast.

Needs new owner some one who will care about the course. A little water and seed would need a lot. Make this a fun course.

A better course than I thought. Other than the grass being too thick on the tee boxes the course is in decent shape. This might be the toughest course that is under the rating of 68 I have ever played. The greens are very small with many of them tucked in areas surrounded by trees and/or hills. OB right, trees left means the course won't forgive errant shots. Walking uphill to many of the greens and tee boxes is good exercise.

I got to play Calimesa for the first time, and while I wasn't really impressed, I thought it was a different design than I'm used to. The par 5s are nearly impossible to reach in two since the greens are tucked away nicely. But birdies are still very makeable. The fairways are filling up from the frost damage. The greens were rolled nicely and not bumpy at all. The tee boxes are pretty bare and it was hard to find a good spot to hit from. Overall a decent course for the money and I will be back soon.

Calimesa is a very cheap course but you get what you pay for. The fairways are choppy and several of the greens are tucked in or blocked by trees and you have no visual shot of them. Even worse you cannot see where you ball lands after hitting at some of the greens. Horrible golf course design and the Pro shop and driving range are lame to say the least..

This course reminded me of Palm Medows just before it closed. Very poorly maintained. I did enjoy the pace, even with a tournament, we didn't feel pushed and where not waiting for the group ahead of us. I like the interesting layout, just wish the course was in better shape for my money.

The fairways still had plugs all over the fairways on the back nine on 10/12/06. Its an old style course with a lot of character and requires placing your shots. The course is in good shape otherwise. I walked the course which was fine for me but would be difficult for most seniors and those who normally ride. The greens are a some slow/some fast. They are building new homes all around the course and that will probably make tee times harder to get in the future. Prices now are very reasonable. I will definately play it again.

fun time if you just want to relax on a golf course...not too challenging but fairly tight.

Don't reallly care for the course. I only played there because I only had a couple of hours to play and it was close and open. I think that this is one of the worst courses i have ever played on, but it have improved since the last time I played there. If you go in later in the day you can't beat the price.

If you like gopher holes and fairways that are in such a state of disrepair that you can't tell them apart from the rough, this is the course for you. The rates are relatively low, but not so low that it makes it worth playing. Fairways were littered with gopher holes, grass was 3" long in the tee boxes, sand traps were full of water, greens had muddy spots in them. Course has potential, layout is nice and trees are mature - oaks and palms, but it's not taken care of at all. Pay the extra $10 and go to Yucaipa Valley Golf Club.

Never saw so many gophers in my life. I know professional pest control is expensive, but give the guys who work on the course some Macabee's and have a contest. Give them 2 bucks for every gopher caught. I will not be back.

I agree this is a small town golf course that requires a real face-lift. There are better courses nearby.

All I have to say is - STAY AWAY! This course is in absolutely horrible condition. I think they use goats to mow the fairways and greens.
