Course is in great shape. The layout is unusual, but I guess it goes with the terrain. Lots of elevated greens without a lot of breaks, but fast nonetheless. Besides the 60 mph wind, I really enjoyed this course. I will definately go back again under better weather conditions.

Decided to take the drive eout for a nice walk, unfortunatly it really wasn't interested in going. For the course it was in really good shape, and i was pleasently supprised. This course was not in the best of conditions last time i played about a year and a half ago, but they have made some great improvements to the course. there is still work to be done and some holes are hurting, but for the improvments i have to give them high marks. For 19 bucks good deal.

This is really a cool and challenging course. Blind tee shots, nice soft greens and overall in good shape. It was a deal for sat 12:45 for $29.00 with cart. course has character, rewards for straight hits and can be tough with the wind kicking up.....play it at least once, i will be back.

customer service, cart girl were very nice and hospitable.

I always enjoy playing this course. It is a bit challenging but still enjoyable. The greens were in good condition and the layout is fun. It is starting to get hot out there and that to me was the only downside.

Liquor license granted - 4 draught beers available
tee boxes slowly improving, ball washers on most holes, better port-a-johns, only one water jug on course, greens just punched which was bad enough but several covered in tree debris (catkins?), pace of play slowed horribly near end.
All in all, still a good value. Sure seems longer than 6100 yards when you walk!!

played cresta verde 3/14 in AM because i was in area. not too many people on the course, conditions were light sunny. course was in fair condition, with decent tee boxes, and fairways that were pretty full, without any bare spots. greens were quick, and chips run a long ways. i'm not particularly a fan of the layout, however. a fair number of blind shots, and a lot of shots into elevated greens where you can barely see the top of the flag. it makes for an interesting day of golf, where 6100 from the blues can certainly play longer. fairways are narrow, making an accurate tee shot a must. par 3's are varied, with a 236 yarder to a 110 yarder following that. price is right on weekdays or weekends, a good course overall. come expecting good golf, don't expect great things, and you won't be disappointed.

Played Friday March 7th in 3 hours as a twosome. The greens were good - they nearly always are. The teeboxes were much improved. Sand did actually exist in some bunkers (according to partner - I missed them all!). This course plays harder in spring when the rough/weeds get thick. Breakfast smelled good in the clubhouse.
Cresta always provides a very satisfactory golf experience, IMHO.

They have no liquor license still. Greens were in pretty good shape . The fairways, not so much. Interesting layout but has some blind approaches I am not crazy about. It plays a little tougher than it's course rating would indicate now as the fairways are not lush. Did I mention they still don't have their liquor license?

You can tell the course is under going some changes. The greens were great smooth & fast. The tee boxes were in good shape now they just need to work on the fairways which I'm sure is in the plans. Over all a very good bargin!

Called the course at 1045 - they said I could get right out!!
20 mins later and they were true to their word. Thanks to the 2 guys at number 6 who let me play through - finished in 2 hour 35mins!!!
Here's the skinny on Cresta from someone who has played there many times.
Tee boxes - some work has been done, but some are still just not level - 3 comes to mind. I rated them a 5
Fairways - #16 is still a disaster but overall they were OK - rated a 6
Rough - never real punishing and most of the reeds and weeds are removed - gave it a 6
Greens - very lush green. Need more rolling and mowing but were surprisingly quick - rated a 6+
Customer service was great. Value for money - 55 and older gets a senior rate - $27.00 - excellent value.
The Goose is great, but Cresta's quicker!

Just play yesterday 6/13/07. Course is shaping up nice. Still a lot of work needs to be done. Sand traps are just hard dirt. Tee Boxes still need work. $24 twilight rate at 2pm and finshed in 3.5 hrs. Only draw back right now is no beer license, but they're working on getting one. Too bad for me, I kind off wanted a cold one after playing in 90 degree weather.

re: previous reviewer - must be some time since you played here - swapping back nine with front nine and improving driving range were completed under previous ownership.
Clubhouse window tinting and new (well, rented actually) carts were the only differences I noted on 5/25/07. Faiways, rough and tee-boxes still average. Greens great, sand traps largely devoid of sand although they were raked smooth. Good rates and great pace of play this day.
Website from previous administration says memberships/deals are not being honored by the new management.
If we can just get some sand in the bunkers, some grass on No. 16 fairway and a couple of tee-boxes levelled, I'll have few complaints.

Cresta Verde is under new ownership and it shows! Front nine and back nine have been swapped. A lot of work has been put into the course and a lot is still going on with the driving range.
The fairways are lush and the greens are soft and fairly smooth.
New carts, friendly staff and reasonable rates made playing well worth it. I'll be back!!

recent rains and/or watering has largely brought back the fairways from dormant brown to halfway decent green. Greens and teeboxes were fine and there was even sand in the bunkers - at least the ones I was in!

played this course last weekend and boy was it in bad shape. i understand it's winter and the fairways are bad everywhere, but it seems like there's just no grass anywhere. it was like hitting off hardpan everytime you split the fairway. greens are in fair shape, run fast and hard. pace of play actually wasn't bad for a sunday morning, maybe because there just weren't a lot of people who wanted to get out there.

Played here on 1-22-07 at noon and did not see a single soul on the track, and for good reason. This place is horrible!!!! Everything is dead and tried out on this track. The greens are decent but not great, hard to tell the difference between fairway and rough when they're both dead and brown.

I will NEVER play this course again. I played it a few years ago and it was in decent shape but the pace of play was terrible and the marshall refused to speed up the four and fivesomes that caused a four group back up on the front nine. This time around was no different.

I got behind a very slow threesome that said they were waiting on two foursomes ahead (which I never saw) and refused to let me play through. I get to the 8th hole and waited 30 minutes to tee off. While waiting a gentlemen in the group behind me comes up and says "What are you doing playing here? You look like your too good a player to be on this course." He then introduced himself as the OWNER. He and the rest of his foursome decide to invite themselves to tee off with me for the final two holes of the front nine. The entire time the owner and his group were incredibly rude, judgemental, and didn't display the basic understanding of golf etiquette. He joked about me being the only paying customer on the course and he was worried that he and his friends were going to scare me off (which they did).

IF this guy has the time to play 9 with his friends, he's surely got the time to study etiquette and customer service. He's also got the time to enforce pace of play. With 15 cars in the parking lot there is NO REASON it should take more than 5 hours to shoot an 83. You couldn't pay me to play a course run by this owner with no enforcement of pace of play.

Probably one of the worse condition course in SoCal ... but then again, you get what you pay for. If your expectations are not too high the course is a good layout, especially the Par 3's are fun to play. Just don't expect to get rewarded too much if you hit your ball in the fairway. Little grass, several gopher holes and greens were slow and bumpy.

The old man & I drove out to Corona to play a course he enjoys, Cresta Verde. Unlike the last time we played this course, it was only in moderate shape. Greens were tattered, rough was thrashed, fairways were parched, and the bunkers plain sucked. In fact, this last tidbit was the only thing that truly took away from an otherwise dynamic course. Most bunkers were concrete, but a select few were soaked asphault. We still enjoyed the day and pace of play and customer service were fantastic.

Played 8/8/6. Had concerns after reading previous comments, but $22.00 green fee brought me to the course. I was pleasently surprised by what I found. Course plays longer than listed length due to elevation changes and the wind. Typical housing tract course, some narrow fairways due to houses, some wide open, good varietyof holes. Tee boxes and greens were in excellent condition. Fairways had some brown patches to them, but were very playable. Rough was terrible, bare, brown, thin, long and thick, you name it, it was the least consistent part of the course. Can't describe the traps, I was never in one. Pace was great, 3.5 hours as a single playing 2 balls, basically setting my own pace. Was allowed to play through by the only other group I saw. Staff was friendly and efficient. Overall, got more than what I expected. Not a country club, but a very good, playable, $30.00 golf course.

Played on 7/1. The course conditions were better than I expected given that it was given a "FAIR" rating. I would say it was more in "GOOD" condition. The greens were inconsistent...some rolled true while others were slow. The pace of play was better than your average muni. I would play here again but I wouldn't say that it is a must play.

Hey Qboloco
Maybe you should do some homework before you spout off about the owner not investing money. The owner has spent millions of dollars over the last three years improving the course conditions, i.e., a new irrigation system which is still being installed. The poor superintendent is literally hand watering the golf coures until the construction is complete. Every golf course should be lucky enough to have an owner like Jay who is willing to spend the money.

Drive out here every once in awhile and luck out on (Wednesday)getting thru the traffic and pace of play. I like this course because it has a variety of approaches to the green uphill, downhill, etc. and it's good place to improve your iron game especially off the tee box. Greens were in good shape and they give you some challenging putts here and there.Too bad the fairways are browning out and get some abuse from the hackers who don't fill in the divots. But I just use it as a challenge to hit off any lies that were given.

First let me say the course has a great layout. However, the conditions are S__t!

This course has a lot of potential if taken care of properly. I always thought that if you land in the fairway you have a good approach to the green. Not at this course. You hit the fairway and then you find yourself hitting off a bare spot (dirt). The area around the greens were o.k. but needed some major work too. The bunkers are terrible - is that even sand?

What impressed me about this course were the par 3's, nicely elevated which made you think about club selection against the prevaling winds that kick up in the afternoon. Whoever owns that GC should invest some money, trim some of the trees, fix the dry fairways, and fix those ugly bunkers. The place could be a gem if maintained. I think they should in order to compete with the nearby excellent courses like Eagle Glen, Hidden Valley, and Trilogy.

Also, the dress code should be enforced. A good golf course always has a dress code. I say: A golf course looks as good as those who pay to play.

I play here once a week in the morning before work with a co-worker. The fairways are pretty bad, the greens are ok. Since last month they close 1 hole a day because they are installing automatic sprinklers, hopefully that'll fix the fairways. I play the back 9-holes at 7am and they charge me $15 with a cart. For that price and it being 2 miles from my work, I will keep going even with the bad fairways.

Played golf 5/27, course was in fair to poor condition. Some holes are in good shape, some are in horrible shape. Greens are slow maybe a 6 or 7. No Marshall on the course to keep people in line. The people behind us kept hitting us. We weren't playing slow either we finished 18 holes in 3 1/2 hours. No drink cart available for 18 holes. Will not play this course again.

Took only 4 1/2 hours to play on a Sunday, good greens, now the bad news. The personell are real jerks. They treat you as thought they are doing you a favor by allowing you to play their course, the fairways were terrible and they don't even know what to charge you. I'm just glad their are a lot better courses in the area with a lot friendlier personnel.

Played yesterday, May 1, 2006. Course was in pretty good condition. Quite a few "grippers" out there hacking away, but overall a very good day. Some of those grippers had better form than me. Tee boxes were recently mowed and the greens were not half bad.

For those of you who don't know, support Cresta Verde's "Get a Grip" Foundation. It is a great community program that needs IE golfer's support. I think they take checks, credit cards, and especially cash. They also need gently used clubs which they are sending to soldiers in Iraq. Call the club for more details. The used club program may have already ended.

Played the course on Tuesday, March 28, 2006 (twilight $12.00 to walk) after not playing there for about a year. Expected the course to be soggy due to the previous rainfall, but it was actually pretty nice. The nines are now reversed. Fairways were crap but the teeboxes and greens were fairly decent. I noticed the new driving range area above the old range and definitely want to come back for evening practice (I think they close at 9 p.m.). If you have the stamina to walk the course (you must be in shape or you will tire after nine holes), it definitely is a great value.

One thing though, it does attract some of the Inland Empires toothless, jean-wearing wonders with mullets so beware.

Played this course on 1/20. This is a terrible golf course with great greens. There is more bare dirt and dead grass in the fairways then green grass. Shots to the middle of the fairway were found in extreme hard pan or dirt. The staff on the course doesnt exist. I called the club house about extreme slow play (3 hours to play the front 9) and the guy said that he was the only employee currently at the course and that he would check the problem once he was replaced from his front desk duty.

Cresta Verde is a good course with many changes in elevation, a characteristic of many golf courses in the Riverside area. I am disappointed, however, that the management switched the back nine with the front nine. The old #18 was a better finishing hole with the fountain and the water protecting a spacious green.

Hadn't played here in over a year, due to poor condition of the golf course at that time. Had heard the course was under new management and was in better shape. Did note many things that were improved (driving range, Club House, carts, condition of greens), but it will take another couple of years of continued improvement to overcome present problems (poor fairways, poor quality of sand in bunkers, terrible rough on several holes, shabby perimeter fencing, etc.). I hope they don't give up, because it is definitely a uniquely different layout that could be a lot of fun to play.

This course is in horrible condition. Tee boxes were uneven and badly maintained. The fairways are so dry and grass so dead your ball will roll a long ways. Unfortunately your next shot is on hard pan or a very tight lie due to lack of water on the fairways. I will not return to this golf course. The price of the green fees and cart was $43.00 which is not worth it. The only good part of this course is the lighting fast greens.

I didn't believe the 2 reviews about how slow this course was. I should have. I had a 9 AM tee time, didn't tee off until 9:50 and when I was at the turn at 12:45, I said good bye to this course. Terrible svc, no marshal, terrible counter personnel. Never ever again, I hope they teach the kids by book and not by example, they will ruin golf for everyone.

Got off on a Sunday at 11:30 a.m. as a single with a discount rate. Didn't mind initially being cart-bound to 3 beginners, as a few years ago I was at that stage, too. However, after plodding through a 3+ hour front 9, they bought 2 hot dogs each at the turn. They slowly ate them just outside the club house for 20+ minutes while 2-3 groups played through at No. 10. Finally, after teeing off at 10 on my own, I told the starter my dilemma. He kindly sent me out as a single to replay the front 9, so I could finish 18 holes. I was done by 4:15. At least I got in a "practice round." But, if you're looking for a decent pace skip this course. There was no course marshal to speed up the play of these beginners taking 5+ shots to reach the green and another 4-5 putts to hole out.

Played this course 10/29/05. The greens were absolutely perfect!! Fast, but holding. Best greens I've played on this year! But that's were the good part ended. Very slow play!! Had 9:20 tee time and didn't go off until 10:10. Course should not allow 5-somes. Fairways were terrible, must have had at least 10 lies in the dirt on the fairways. Tee boxes ragged, but a few in good shape. Would probably play again if rate stayed low and course was in better shape. Nice layout & a good challenge.

This course is fun with great greens, if they spent as much time on their fairway maintenance as they do with their greens it would be a great course. All things considered shot very good on front, back gets a little more challenging. Especially if the wind picks up. All in all good bang for the buck. Start out aggresive and finish conservative for a score of 80 or better.

Played 7/17/05. Had a great day. Walked on with my father-in-law at 11A on a Sunday, no problem. We played through 2 groups and finished in 4 hours!! A fun up and down layout. A great bargain for it being a "muni". The course has the potential to be a great course if it was in little bit better condition but the greens were nice so that counts for a lot. Fairways marginal, sand marginal, rough is pretty weedy, but overall just because of the nice greens, interesting, fun layout and the great bargain price of 29.00 you can't go wrong if you're on a budget. ( This course has similar potential to Mountain Meadows. Because of the layout---if only someone would dump a few million into it and fix it up right. These two courses would go from being 6.5's to 8.5's.

A bit of advice to the Starter at Cresta Verde: NO FIVESOMES ON THE WEEKENDS !!!!!! Played today. It took 5 hours because of the 5-some in front of us. One of the guys was taking lessons on the course from his buddies ! ( None of which were worthy, themselves ! ) INEXCUSEABLE !!! Called the starter on the 4th hole to complain, but never saw a marshall all day. Greens were in good shape although the fairways leave ALOT to be desired. 18th could be a great finishing hole if it weren't for all the dead grass and filth in the lake. Why John Daly plays here, I'll never know. Hope they get it together soon.

Some greens are impossible to putt with the bumpiness. Wait for twi-light and play it for less.

Played on Sat. at 1Pm, finished in 4 hours exactly. Lots of 2 and 3 somes out, but overall a fast round. The course is in pretty good shape, MUCH better then when I was out here in Feb.!! Greens are in good shape, but very soft and fairly slow. Some fairways (i.e. #1) are in great shape, some not so much. Driving range has no yardage indicators. We did have to switch out one of our carts at the turn...this happened to us last time also and seems to be an ongoing problem. Overall, a pretty easy track with condinually better and better conditions, worth $29 after 1Pm on weekends.

I may have slightly under rated this course. It's got a decent layout and lately has been in good playing condition. The greens are much better than they used to be but so is the overall course. Summer is upon us and it's only going to get hotter so be prepared, bring lots of water and freeze them the night before because they will melt rather quickly. The beverage cart does come aroung but not as much as some other courses but that's probably because of the layout. The carts are a bit of a problem; in the last two rounds there we have had a dead cart. On the first occation it died before we could get to the 3rd tee (we called in and they had a cart out to us 10 minustes later) and the second time we managed to limp it through 9 holes with a little push but it does bug me, especially during play. I do know they're trying to remedy the situation because when we mentioned it one person started cussing up a storm because apparently they had just spent money to get rid of this kind of problem. For the price it's a decent course but with the cost of gas these days it might be better to save the gas money and spend it on a better local course.

played 5/1 -- Play this course almost every month and it just gets better everytime. Major improvements in the past 2 years. Too bad the course is only 6100 yds from the tips. Great for pratice for all levels. Highly recommended for the money and recreational player.

played 4/29/05 - drove down at 200pm - no reservation but walked right on and walked round in 4 hours. Course starting to recover from rains. Still water damage on some fairways - puddles in some bunkers. Noticeable effort to level tee boxes - mostly with sand but its a start. And bunkers - at least the ones I was in, have been refilled with sufficient sand. As always, great value for money.

This could be a premier course, the layout is great. Though it has improved over the last year it still need alot of TLC. Hopefully the conditions will continue to improve.

went for my first time, not worth it but just to try some place new. i know it stopped raining days ago but needs water drainage system. hills and slopes make it challenging but water needs to be cleared and sand traps need sand not dirt. woulld like to try it in the summer and see the difference.

Played last Sunday. I have not played there in somtime, I remember why. The course has made strides in areas and still has a long way to go in others. Driving range finally has nets to help you find your ball on the 10th. However there are still the same holes that your not allowed to drive on and they have been that way for two years. It's not a grass problem CC has it's a drainage problem they have through the entire layout. Course was still very wet. They are hosting a Pro Am with Esteban Toledo and John Daly on Feb. 14th and are charging $1000 per slot. I wouldn't pay more than $100 considering the conditions which will not improve from crappy to lush in two weeks.

4 1/2 hr round. don't expect too much with this course. Tee boxes a little beat up, fairways a little dry as with the rough, sandtraps need some help, the greens were the tough and fast well maintained. Overall a 5.5-6/ 10. Good value for $42 w/ last minute notice.

First time at cresta verde,played sat.11/20/04 11;30.
Similar layout like anaheim hills, westridge etc.Not yet totally recovered their aerated greens but still medium fast.1-2 weeks more will be very good green. Course not so busy they let them out many 2 somes causetive slow play. And one dad & son appeared from nowhere at 12th hole (what the education ! papa!). Anyway I'll be back soon.

This course is worth the money. No problems walking on. The new owner has upgraded some holes but it still needs work. Avoid the afternoons on the weekends. Alot of beginners tend to show up and slowdown the pace of play. Don't let the yardage fool you. The course layout will challenge your every shot.

walked in under 3 1/2 hours Friday at 1030am. Owner continues to invest in course. New driving range nets mean you can find your errant shots on 10 and 18! New kids facility being constructed for "get-a-grip" program. Newer golf carts with some "juice"! Course is lush and green except for that ugly fairway on 7! Greens just about back from aeration 11/12/04

I play here very infrequently! I thought the condition of the course was much improved from the last time. (2000) The greens had recently been punched, but they will be excellent in a few weeks, you can just tell! Is this a great course .... of course not, but for $14.00 to walk, it has enough interest and diversity to warrant a sooner return.

Overall course condition "Fair to Good". Greens were recently punched so in another week or two it should fill in and hopefully be smooth and playable.

Played on Sat 10/30 with 3 great guys.It had rained heavily on Wed/Thurs so it was cart path only.Got the tee time through "click4teetimes.com" No mention of the greens being punched.Plus I guess the rain had washed away all of the sand ,so it was 1/4" to 1/2" holes on every green. The 3 guys I played with had played it the week before and said the greens had been perfect and could not understand why they had punched them. They also thought that "click4"didn't have any mention of it on the website(as some other courses had it noted on theirs). Course was super wet in spots, but fun to play. Some slow groups, but that was expected...what wasn't was the marshalls refusal to do anything about it as they were busy looking for some lost keys.
I really enjoyed my partners as we were cracking jokes about the group in front of us and just had a good time, and since we were already out on the course when we found out about the conditions,we just took it with a grain of salt and tried to have a good time. Give it a few weeks with no more rain and the greens will be in good shape.

Played here 9/11/04 for the first time in 2 years. What a difference the new owner has made. This is a nice little track. Greens are in great condition for this type of a course ($). Fairways were green and well-kept, not marshy as was the case before. This course has some character with elevation changes, a couple of interesting par 3's, with a couple of the par 5's providing birdie opportunities. The only draw-back was the lack of GPS and proper distance markers. I'll definitely be back.

played twilight 7/16/04. Although they have made many inprovements on the course it still need a lot more work. Fairways had many brown areas and were thin in others. Roughs were not pretty bare thin and dead in areas. Greens were above average and rolled true. The layout of the course is interesting with elevated tees and greens, doglegs and some tough holes were par is a good score. My understanding is this is a new owner and is really trying to improve it from the dog track previous owners let it get to. The improvents are very nice and if he continues this can be a very nice course for the money.

The "10 rounds for $250 card" is a real bargain, esp. since it's good on weekends after 10 AM. For $25, we get green fee and cart and it's only a 15-20 mile drive from home. Course is in much better condition than it was several years ago--well worth the price in spite of occasional slow play.

THIS COURSE IS SEVERLY "UNDER-RATED" BY THE MEMBERS. IT GOT ONLY A 4.65 ? "FAIR" ? BOY !, DO I DIFFER FROM THAT RATING. BOOKED ON-LINE FOR A 1:00P TEE TIME SUNDAY MAY 30th,FOR UNDER $20. ARRIVED EARLY 12:15, AND THEY HAD ME READY TO GO IMMEDIATLY. PACE MOVED ALONG REALLY WELL FOR A SUNDAY. 4-41/2. THE COURSE CONDITION WAS REALLY GOOD, I WOULD SAY CLOSE TO A 6.5 TO A 6.75. THE FAIRWAYS ARE IN GOOD LUSH TO FIRM CONDITION THE ROUGH IS CUT TIGHT SO YOU CAN HIT OUT OF IT EASILY. AND THE GREENS ARE EXCELLENT. I CAN'T SAY MUCH ABOUT THE SAND TRAPS, BECAUSE I WAS NOT IN THEM TODAY , BUT THE SAND QUALITY LOOKED FINE. I THINK THIS COURSE HAS IMPROVED ALOT SINCE I LAST PLAYED HERE, WHEN THEY HAD THE TEMPORARY GREENS. THAT IS WHAT MIGHT HAVE GIVEN ITS LOW RATING. I REALLY ENJOYED THE COURSE LAY OUT IT HAS SEVERAL ELAVATED GREENS SO YOU DO HAVE TO GO UP A CLUB OR TWO TO MAKE THE GREEN. THIS COURSE HAS ALOT OF ELAVATED TEE BOXES ALSO. IT IS A MUST PLAY COURSE, SEEING IS BELIEVING. I'LL BE BACK !

Played 1PM twilight on 5/2 for $29 which is hard to be beat. Have not played here since they redesigned some of the holes. It is fun with lots of elevation changes including several very elevated greens. 10 & 11 are blind shots to the green so be careful if you have not played before. Course in decent shape. Greens still bumpy from aeration and fairways and tee boxes thin in spots but still worth the $.

Good news is they actually have some grass, and some of the landscaping looks good. A long way to go, as thats where it ends. Really don't like bad lies on the tee box, still very uneven. 20 bucks in afternoon, you could do better!

Played there 2/1 after not having played there for about three years. Remember it as being cheap but not well maintained. Was pleasantly surprised this time; it is much nicer than it used to be. The temporary greens were pretty bad, a couple just about impossible. But look forward to coming back once the regular greens are ready. It's not perfect but is now at least a decent, fun course for a good price.

WHAT A FUN COURSE! THOUGH THERE WERE 4 TEMP. GREENS, WE WERE AWARE OF IT BEFORE HAND, "NO PROBLEM CRY BABY'S". THE COURSE IS ALOT OF FUN, WITH SEVERAL CHALLENGING HOLES, NOT JUST AN EASY" WALK IN THE PARK"/GOLF COURSE. FAIRWAYS WERE NICE, ONLY A FEW BARE AREAS, THE ROUGH WAS A LITTLE THIN,BUT PLAYABLE. THE SAND TRAP WERE IN GOOD CONDITION, I SHOULD KNOW I WAS IN IT QUIT A FEW TIMES. ASIDE FROM THE TEMPORARY GREENS, THE REST OF THE GREENS WERE IN GOOD CONDITION WITH ONLY A COUPLE IN BAD CONDITION. THE ONLY BAD HOLES ARE THE 1st AND 10th FAIRWAYS, BECAUSE THE DRIVING RANGE IS SO CLOSE, WITH ALL THE HACKERS OVER THERE, THEY WOULD SLICE ALOT, I MEAN ALOT OF BALLS IN THE FAIRWAYS. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS GOOD, THE NEW CLUB HOUSE IS COMING AROUND. I KNOW WHY THIS COURSE PLAY TAKES SO LONG TO PLAY, IT'S BECAUSE THE COURSE RUNS THROUGH A HOUSING SUB-DIVISION. I WILL PLAY HERE AGAIN.

The layout is actually pretty decent, and the last four holes are extremely challenging. From what the other players indicated, the course conditions have actually improved significantly from where they were - but there's still plenty of room for improvement, especially on the greens. The greens fee price of $18 weekdays was a bargain.

Played here for the first time on 12-23, and was not impressed. The greens had numerous brown spots and ball marks, the fairways was full of holes and soggy spots and the round took 4:45 to play! This said, the course has a lot of character. The elevation changes made the holes, especially the par-3's, very interesting. It's not very long, but you need to bring a straight game or you'll need a few more balls. It really helped that I played with two guys who play the course a lot because there are some blind tee-shots that make the first time difficult. Because of the low green fees, I'll probably go back sometime, but I wouldn't put it on my list of "must-play courses".

Custy Muddy. I remember why I hadn't been back for awhile. Don't think this place has changed very much, except for the new construction. Seems like parts of the lay out were crammed in between construction. If this was my neighborhood course and I could walk there, I'd probably do it, but to drive 45 miles to play there on a regular basis, nah.

I wouldn't mind taking the drive from L.A. because the course has a fun layout, cheap green fees and relatively good pace of play. No more! while the green fee is still cheap the course needs alot of work. The greens are terrible. Our tee time was delayed 1/2hr. It seemed like the starter was trying to get walk-ons and singles out instead instead of honoring reservations. Iam now going to spend my 5+ hr. round closer to home

I played this course 12/6 and enjoyed the round. The owners have done a lot of work to improve this course. The fairways are a little worn and the greens need work but for the price its a nice place to drop. #17 is still the hole to hit. Elevated tee, high winds and a small green...a par is a blessing. I'll keep playing here.

Played Sunday 12/7, wet conditions, trying to rain. Fairways have many areas of poor drainge and muddy. Layout is fun and challenging ( at least for me). Some Greens have bare areas but for $28 including the cart not a bad deal (internet). Looks as though they are inproving the facilities, I will play here again.

played 4-17-03 only 17dollars at 10:30 This is a very short course, but not super easy. You must hit the ball straight here otherwise you could be in someone's backyard or have a funky lie on a desert hillside. This course was not in very good condition but it is still fun to play. No holes except 2 and 12 look alike. It is a hilly course good for the legs if you walk.
