Played Saturday the 21th for $65.00 (rate before 7:22am). You can tell they are working hard on the course. Greens in good condition except unfixed ball marks (PLEASE FIX THEM). Fairways are good except a few holes that are putting down sod. Only in one bunker (#17) and it was in good condition (one shop to get out). All in all worth the green fees and we had a great time.

Good day Greenskeeper players—

I noticed the last two comments about the facility so I wanted to re-print this submission. We are working hard to prepare the course for the fall and winter and far into next year. Because of that, you may experience some interaction with the maintenance team. Rest assured though that the playing conditions are extremely good. We are nearly complete with the complete re-sodding of the fron nine holes already. Work will begin on the back nine late next week and continue through the end of the first week of September. The hot weather is finally helping the Bermuda wake up and prosper.

As I said previously, our main objective is to promote the Bermuda growth all through the remainder of the summer and into the early fall. This will provide us and you the golfer, an excellent playing surface throughout the winter and into next spring. While the Bermuda certainly goes dormant once the weather turns and because of our preparation, we are expecting a very short dormancy period.

As each of you know the practice of Overseeding has many benefits, but over time can impede the quality of the Bermuda grass underneath. Eagle Glen Golf Club usually Overeeds our course in September, but we have decided to step up our preparation for this year instead of waiting until 2011. This will greatly improve our playing conditions now. By not Overseeding this year, we can do a full spray out of the rough to eliminate the Rye and Poa Annua, to provide a more consistent non-fairway lie. We are also spraying out the fairways completely to remove all the Rye grass imbedded there. Now with the arrival of the warmer weather we have already started this process. You may notice the Rye grass dying out as we promote the Bermuda grass underneath and identify areas that we want to immediately re-sod. This is a simple cosmetic issue and has no affect on play.

Aerification of our greens will begin on Tuesday Sept. 7th and Wednesday Sept 8th. We will do nine holes at a time so that we can provide uninterrupted play. We will not be closing this September for the Overseeding and will remain open all month long. There will also not be any Cart Path Only restrictions this year. Thus, you the golfer will have a greater opportunity to play without restrictions through the great weather September always offers.

In addition, we are continuing our aggressive redo of bunkers. We have completed over 25 bunker renovations already in 2010, and have approximately 10 more to go before the end of the year. This is a process we are committed to and take very seriously. Each bunker renovation requires a full removal of all the existing sand, a total re-design of the drainage system, and then replenished with entirely new sand. This is a costly endeavor, but one that we feel is necessary to provide the proper play conditions our guests deserve.

Despite these difficult times, we hope you will appreciate all that we are doing to provide a great playing experience here at Eagle Glen. When you have a chance to play, we sincerely hope our efforts continue to make us one of your first choices. We greatly appreciate your patronage and strive to keep us on your favorite course list.

I played this course yesterday afternoon. It wasn’t hot. I haven’t played here for about 8 months. I think that the course condition was much better back then. Well, the course layout is fun and challenging, and the pace was good (4 and 1/2 hours). Also People in the proshop and cart girl are nice. However the bad course condition absolutely reduces the fun. Althought they show the maintenance efforts on the fairway, they still need to put a lot of efforts to maintain the course well. The tee box areas are not leveled and the fairways are hard and thin, and the sands are dry and wet (Please rake the sand!!!), and there are the many ball marks on the green. The GPS is installed in the cart, but many fairways are cart path only. What is the point of having the GPS!!??!! They need to put more distance stones on the tee box areas. It is hard to estimate the distance especially in the par-3 holes. I wouldn’t go back to this course for a while until I hear the course condition get better.

Played Aug 4th. Staff was excellent as usual. They make an effort to get you off on time. Starter was very helpful. Tees were in good shape. Fairways were being sodded in the bad areas and were marked GUR. Some bunkers were still being refurbished. The other bunkers had sand and were in good shape. Normal maintenance can be seen all around the course as well as improvemnets. Greens had more more ball marks than usual, but were firm but a tad slower than normal due to light sand. Beverage cart seen three times in the 4 1/2 hours to play. Clubhouse is a great place to sit and relive the good and bad shots. A great golf experience (as I've come to expect of this course) and they are offering some good deals for August.

Play Wed at 8AM for the senior rate. Great place to spend the day at reasonable prices. Staff was cheerful and accommodating to a tee. Teed off on time for a little over 4 hour round. Beverage cart seen 4 times. Work being done re-sodding fairways and restructuring bunkers. Lots of maintenance work being done as well. Greens had some ball mark damage but were firm and fast especially if putting towards the freeway. Tees were level and closely mowed. Greenside bunkers had sand, not dirt, in those that have been worked on. Well worth the money and a great, but fair, test of your game.

Took a group out to Eagle Glen. Even though they had a special for $50 after 9am the GM gave us the deal at 7:22. Nice touch. Doubt he can do it all the time. Course was not very crowded in the mornin... Continue »

Took a group out to Eagle Glen. Even though they had a special for $50 after 9am the GM gave us the deal at 7:22. Nice touch. Doubt he can do it all the time. Course was not very crowded in the morning. Group ahead of us had holes open in front of them but we still played in 4:20. No fivesomes today. That's a big help. Course was a lot busier when we left.

Greens were firm and not as fast as you think. I thought they rolled very well. I did not take advantage of that. Bunkers were in good shape. The traps on #11 were in the process of being maintenanced.

It was a very good experience. My last round here was not as we were behind a very slow fivesome. One of my favorite tracks. Starter Jim was great. And Jan who took my reservation was very nice. Hope to get back there soon.

Went out today and course in great shape. Had coupon for $40 rate. Course a little dry but you get good run out in the fairway. The two bunkers I was in had nice fluffy sand and I had to remember how to hit out of them as so many courses have dirt or no sand in their bunkers. For the price you can't wrong. I will definitely be back.
