When playing Oak Quarry take a moment on each hole to enjoy the serenity the course has to offer. If you do, you will enjoy your game of golf in a setting that is not normally found. Absorb the scenery and history as well as the natural habitat the course has to offer. It will add to your golf experience!!! Golf Tip- On the Putting Greens - By Hank Schiller, PGA/General Manager You will not find the greens at Oak Quarry overly speedy but yet testy in speed!!. They are cut daily at a height to run on average 8.5 to 9.0 on the stimpmeter. The reason: Because the greens at Oak Quarry have a lot of undulation compared to the average size green of a regular golf course as well as the course is built at the base of the Jurupa Mountains. Helpful hint. When in doubt "Everything breaks to the East" If the green speed gets above 9.0 it adversely affects the speed of play for the day for the average player which in the end affects all players playing the course. These results have been studied by Management of Oak Quarry. Thank you for playing and we hope you enjoy your round at Oak Quarry Golf Club.

QUOTED  When in doubt "Everything breaks to the East"

Thanks for the hot tip, Ring.

Also, I have to agree with the scenery: probably one of the best in So Cal golf. I am amazed that a golf course could be built in that granite quarry. Simply awesome.
