As another noted, this course is nothing special. Short and flat with few fairway bunkers. There's just not much to challenge you here. Some fairways were OK but many were a bit hard and dry, causing the club to bounce. Greens were OK but some were a bit bumpy. Not too bad, though. Same with the tee boxes. Most were OK but a few were a bit chewed up. And as another noted, the pace of play is quite slow. I didn't even reach the first tee until 30 minutes after my scheduled time! The round was around 5+ hours. I think it's a little overpriced for what you get. A decent course but nothing special and it needs more care. I had fun though and even met a couple of guys that frequent GK, though I don't think either is a member. They were fun to golf with.

I'm sorry, but for the relative lack of character to the course and the poor management of pace of play, this course is overpriced, especially when compared to several other superior courses in the Riverside area that are actually cheaper to play. The Knolls is a good place to play an afternoon round before the sun goes down, or if you're looking for a place to practice a particular part of your game. Other than that, it's not much to brag about.

I got there as a single @9:30 this morn. & got right off the first tee. Played the first 3 alone 'til catching up with a twosome I joined for the rest of the day as it was backed up. We still finished in just over 4 hours. The course is in better shape than when I was there last summer. The greens rolled very smooth & there weren't many ball marks. Tee boxes, fairways & rough were pretty good. The rough wasn't too penal. Missing fairways didn't hurt much. The staff was good as was the hot dog from the snack bar. I previously haven't liked this course but it's better now. The weather was beautiful & I had an enjoyable day.

Where was everybody on Sunday? Course was wide open, teed off at 9 and in the clubhouse by 12:30. Course is in decent shape for winter Sand bunkers were wet but overall nice. It looked they sanded the greens but they rolled nice. Overall, a 6.

Played Feb 16th. Fairways were aerated, greens were vericut and dusted. Wait till it heals. Tee boxes uneven, good sand. The way the course is set up, you're always in danger of errant balls from adjoining holes. Walkable course.

I guess because I didn't expect much, I wasn't that disappointed. The greens and bunkers were great! Pretty evrything else was, well let's just say "not good". It is the dead of winter, but the course needs some TLC. However for $17.00 and a 2hr 30min round, why complain.

This course was definitely decieving with the picture shown on the course. The only good quality area of the course were the bunkers. They were very well maintained with good sand. The rest was poorly maintained. The greens were lightning fast with many ball marks unrepaired. It definitely seemed that people didn't respect the course because the club didn't respect the course. I would not recommend this course for the price charged.

After 2 months decided to give course another try. Big Mistake. This course attracts the golf low lifes. Cut off levis? Steel spikes? Rough 5" tall? Just a big joke. The lawn mower guy must have thought he was at Fontana. Whizzing around on the mower and he ran over 2 golf balls the guys a head of us had just hit. This place is a rotten course. Stay away if you want to keep your sanity.

Played here for the first time this Sunday with 2 buddies and my borother not expecting much. Arioved to gusts in the 30-40 range- yikes. The fairways were non existant in much of the course, but the greens were actually kinda nice. The course is clearly paying attention to the putting surfaces here- They are also installing some rough cut to 10 yards around a lot of the greens- this grass was very nice challenging rough that made you think about your chips- I liked some of the varied layout with some elivation changes- but the wind was BRUTAL. All in all, a day out with friends and golf isnt too bad

Played golf at Paradise Knolls Golf Club last Sunday and Monday and found very courteous, friendly and accomodating staff. Course was in good shape especially the greens (A+). We had a most enjoyable two days of golf with great weather, courteous staff and smooth greens. Was a great bargain for the $ especially if you book from www.savesomegreen.com I will return to Paradise Knolls Golf Club very soon. Keep up the good work.

Played here today Sat 1/20 what a complete mess this place is. Tee time was for 10:29 got off at 11:30 tipical American Golf over booking the golf course. Plus the starter has no clue what she is doing playing her Sony psp behind the desk. Also has a real attractive lip ring. Then you go into the bar and i felt like i was walking into a tattoo parlor with the girl behind the bar with a leather jacket on and her boyfriend doing tattoo art work at the bar. Course was in bad shape and for 45 bucks not worth the money and we left at 5:30 and were still on the 13th hole. American Golf get a clue hire people that know what a golf course is.

So if you like to wait on every hole and watch a bunch of hackers.. Go to Paradise. Thank you American golf for the wonderful experience.

the greens are poor right now. they were great a couple of months ago, but now have a lot of bare spots and are bumpy as hell. also the bunkers are mostly HARD pan, except a couple that have way too much sand in them. maybe there in the middle of refilling the bunkers. overall you get what you pay for. i'll be back .

Save your money and play in the field across from the course, you'll probably find better greens. Don't know what happened but the greens are dying and are just terrible. Heard they let the keeper go and no good replacement.

played on monday 7/31. the condition of the course is not too good rirht now. they were punching and sanding the greens today so beware. also there way overwatering the place. most greensare so soft that a wedge shot just plugs in the greens. also watch out for the angry blue hairs that will cut in front of you without asking (i was a single) then hold you up on the next hole, almost hit you with his 100 yard drive, then act like he's doing you a favor by letting you play through. other than that, the price is fair 25.00 on golfnow.com. i would wait a couple of weeks for the greens to recoup.

The quality of this course has greatly improved over the past year. Even with this dry, hot spell, the greens are soft and pretty smooth. The fairways and rough are green and well tended. The sand traps get better each time I play. A totally enjoyable round of golf!

Nice course if you like to play a 5 1/2 hour round behind some of the slowest and worst golfers I have ever seen. Even after the marshal talked to them they got worst. This course does attracet the golfing low life and non golfing hackers. Levis and T-shirts do not belong on a golf course but what do you expect from a Broke Back Mountain part of the state.

This course is constantly improving. Old sand traps are being re-sculpted and filled with fine grained white sand. New tee boxes are being added which improve the the length and toughness of some of the holes.

Played today, May 11, 2006 (initially) for $15.00 to walk. Bad move. It was 91 degrees at 2 p.m. and by the turn our foursome of unfit golfers were ready to ride. We paid an additional $7.00 each for cart privileges for the back nine.

The course rates as follows: Tee boxes-6, Fairways-5, and Greens-7. The greens were pretty slick today compared to the local area courses I have been playing in the last month. For most golfers, this is truly a pitch and putt course. I don't know the exact yardage, but it seemed like after every drive I was in-between wedges on almost every par 4 hole. I was anywhere between 80-50-30 yards from the pin and it was really hard to hit the green with a wedge from hard pan. It took a while to get used to this. With this, for senior players, this course probably is a lot of fun.

For longer hitters, you are no more than a 8 iron away on the longer par fours and an easy wedge shot on the short ones. Once you get used to the sequence of driver, wedge, putter-you should be fine.

I again encountered some of the Inland Empire's finest Budweiser drinking, jean short wearing, NASCAR fans on the course with no respect. On one hole, the Jurupa-locals passed our foursome without asking to play through. Not a nod, wave, or anything. They wizzed right passed us as we were putting out and proceeded to pull out their Costco-special Prince drivers and tee up their flourescent balls. Kid you not.

I don't think I'll be coming here again anytime soon. Not because of the course or the service but because of the type of golfer this course attracts. Be wary of courses without strict dress codes as this is a reflection of type of golfer they want to attract.

The old saying "you get what you pay for" might be true, but when you consider we paid $15 to play, you get a lot for your $$. I conceed it's not Pebble Beach (what else is) but given the condition and a 3 1/2 hour round for $15, how can you complain. It's like golf used to be back in the 60's,

The Knolls were in decent shape the afternoon of April 7. It's not always the case but my buddy and I finished in just over 3 hours, a twilight bargain at $25.00 to ride. It would have been much longer but for some gentlemen letting us play through after the 4th hole. More people should have this courtesy. The fairways were fairly decent after all the rain. No. 13 is starting turn green after being dormant and yellow. I really like the redesign of the few holes that were. The tee boxes are nice and the elevated greens and surrounding area are much nicer than they were. If you read their ads, you would think the whole thing has been redesigned but it is was just the few that really needed it. The greens have been recently aerated but were actually not too bad. They are recovering quickly.

It's rarely a problem to get on here for some inexpensive golf. The conditions won't have you awestruck but it's really never too bad either. I've never seen a beverage cart girl here either so I'd say the best way to describe this course is "no frills".

I love this course & consider it my home course but please I repeat please, DO NOT ALLOW 5 SOMES on the weekends or holidays. Those that play are slow slow slow and with no marshal they think they own the place. If they can't keep up with the group ahead. Send them home. Today, Labor day, the 5 some ahead of us ended up 2 1/2 holes behind by the time we were done. PLEASE NO MORE 5 SOMES.

Despite the damage from floods earlier this year, this course is worth playing. Management is making the best out of what was left of four damaged holes. Repair work is underway and looks to be an improvement from the original layout. Can't wait until construction is finished. This course is definetly worth the small green fees! Play as early as possible though, the cheap fees make for a crowded course later in the day. I've played this course many times and I will continue to play in the future!

Overall condition is not bad. The greens are grown back in from airating. The temporary hole at 14 can be easily passed up. They have a temporary green in middle of the 13th fairway for use at the 13th hole and they use the permanent 13th green for the temporary 14th hole. The temporary 14th hole is a short par 3, not a par 5 as shown on the scor card. The 4th hole is also using a temporary green, and is only a short par 3, not a par 4 as on the score card. Pace of play on a mid week twi light was fast, never had to wait. Discounted rates make this course worth coming back. Looking forward to the construction of the new holes, they are shaping up nicely. Be careful on your approach shot on 15. It is a new green, and is hard and fast, can easily run off the back.

This is a local golf course to me. It offers good rates for an average golf course. When they have it at best it may be one of the best kept secrets for golfing under $35 but bad weather damages this course easily because of the creek that runs along it and the course does not seem to do damage control very well.

According to the golf shop on 1-11-05 only 9 holes are open. Golfers will play the original 9 holes layout. Holes 3 and 14 are completely underwater. Not telling when the full 18 will be ready for play. Contact the golf course for more information.

One of the few courses which allow the cart to be taken to the
car and get clubs. For us seniors this is a tremendous help as
we need help in some cases. Iced water are at different holes
which is a distinct benefit, as well as bathroom on front nine and
back nine, the 6th and 14-15 holes.

Played on Friday, Nov. 26th, the day after Thanksgiving. Had a late 12:30pm tee time, course was packed. Was stuck behind a VERY slow group, took over three hours to play the first nine. No marshall was in sight to move the group in front of us along. This group had fallen a hole and a half behind by the 5th hole! At the turn, my threesome decided to play the front nine again rather than be stuck behind that group. We barely finished with any light at all. The dust problem that I mentioned a couple of weeks ago seems to have settled down a bit after the recent rains. The service in the pro shop was good, but the lack of a marshall was very frustrating.

Played in a tournament on a very windy day last Sunday, Nov. 13th. My first time at the course, I was disappointed that there was no range to warm up. I found the layout to be pretty interesting. It's a short course, mostly flat and walkable, with a nice variety of holes. There were a few parallel holes on the back side that, coupled with the wind, slowed play down with players in each other's fairways. Play was slow, with our tournament and another tournament behind us. It was so busy that the snack bar ran out of burgers by noon. One thing that struck me was how dusty the course was, especially on the 3rd hole. Watching the carts in front of us criss-cross on the fairway on #3 was like watching video of tanks crossing Iraq. Huge plumes of dust trailed the carts. Greens were in great shape and very receptive to short-iron and flop shots, and I liked the sand quality the couple of times I was in bunkers. Fairways and rough had the dust problem, and there was lots of ground under repair. Nearly the entire left side of the par 5 14th hole was ground under repair. My biggest pet peeve were the tee boxes. I would say about half of the tee boxes were on unlevel ground. Service from the staff was very good overall. My overall impression was that it was a typical American Golf course...a nice, tree-lined, old-fashioned layout that with some care and manicuring would be a fun place to play. But things like the dust and tee boxes undercut the enjoyment of the course.

Used savesomegreen.com to reserve a tee time. Fortunately we were able to tee off on time because the staff did not reserve a tee time for us. Be safe and call to confirm any online tee time. Other than the teetime confusion the round took 4.5 hrs. Very good conditions all around. Did not encounter any 6 or 7 somes as posted by other feedback, although a regular did mention to the starter about a regular 8some group.

Put out another $20.00 and play at Eagle Glen or Oak Quarry 9$50.00 an $55.00 with discounts). The greens were in the best shape I've seen them in, in a long time. Crab grass like fairways grabbed the club, and all approach shots came up short. Still a nice discount golf course.

The courtesy and respect shown to the elders is excellent with
the ability of using the cart to the car for loading the clubs. This
plus the low green fee and availability of tee off is supreme.
Also the loading of clubs after an 18 hole play is very accomodat-
ing.

If they could keep the tournament people moving at a decent pace and no 5 or 6 somes allowed maybe everyone could enjoy the game

THE BEST FEATURE OF THE COURSE WERE THE GREENS, WELL MANICURED. THE TEE BOXES WERE FIRM AND IN GOOD CONDITION. THE SAND TRAPS QUALITY OF SAND WAS GOOD, I SHOULD KNOW I WAS IN THEM A FEW TIMES, BUT EASY TO GET OUT. THE FAIRWAY WAS A BIT HADDERED, BUT FIRM, THEY DO GIVE YOU A GOOD ROLL. THE COURSE PLAYS VERY EASYNOT TOO CHALLANGING. GOOD FOR BEGINNERS OR LOW INTERMEDIATE. I WAS OUT WITH A FRIEND THAT HAD NOT PLAYED IN OVER 6 MONTHES, SO IT PLAYED WELL TO HIS GAME. PACE WAS GOODWE ONLY HAD A FOURSOME, THE GROUP AHEAD OF US HAD 5. I DIDN'T SEE ANY SIX OR SEVENS AS MENTION FROM OTHER MEMBERS? NOTE: THEY DID SAME SOME RAIN DAMAGED FAIRWAYS THAT WHERE ROPED OFF. NOT A BIG PROBLEM.

Stopped by to play on 1-31 as a twosome. Had big sign is clubhouse that said holiday rates, absolutely no exceptions. Watched the starter charge $36.00 for golf, cart, balls and lunch to the twosome before me who must be regulars. He then tried to charge me $32.00 each to walk. What a joke. Now I clearly understand what all the previous comments are about.

Had an internet special, so it was worth it. Other than that, questionable. At least the greens were the best thing about the club. A bit slow but fun! Tee boxes were rough and the fairways were worse. Pace was great fur a Sunday morning. I play it a few times a year, and this was about as bad as it gets, but it mid December...

I could not believe it but this place allows groups of 6 on the course and when you ask them about it they just say " oh well" Sorry, but these 20 or so people are always here and we cater to them so they won't leave. The manager has no spine

i feel this course is better than general old golf course in riverside. greener fairways and better surroundings. aerated greens about 1 and a half weeks ago so should be in good condition in two more weekd

The Tee Boxes have been overseeded, the Greens are scheduled to be aerated this week w/overseeding of the fairways also taking place. A Great round of golf can still be played here even with the maintenance going on. The twilight rate of $22 after 1pm makes the course worth playing. The course was uncrowded and we completed our round in about 3 hours.

A couple of tee boxes are temporary and are really bad you could not get a level lie. Other than that, the rest of the course are ok for the price. Not very long and not very hard. Relatively well maintained though.

If the green fees were more than $35, I would not play. However, it does only cost $35, including cart on a weekend.

I really enjoyed Paradise Knolls. The price was reasonable (to walk), the greens were in good shape and the fairways were nice just not very challenging.

Great condition, very good greens, good price, walkable, close to the 215 on Limonite, can actually get tees times on the week end, fair share of sneaky tuff holes.

Course is in fair condition. Greens are alittle fuzzy. All in all for the reasonable price and great pace of play during the week, it is a good value course.

Course is in great condition. The rough can be very thick and deep which makes keeping the ball in the fairway even more important. The pin placements can be difficult at times, especially on windy days.
