Played on Tues. Course is in great shape, everything was lush and green. Tee boxes still have some uneveness, but generally in good shape. Fairways were rolling well, rough was punishing at times. Greens were in excellent shape, lush, rolling true and quick, some had a couple of ball marks but we took care of them. 8AM tee time, got out on time, 2 for 1 coupon was a great deal. Finished in 4 hrs with hunting for ball on 3 holes, did not hold up anyone behind us, 2some in front of was quick.

I haven't played Empire Lakes for a long time due to the new ownership screwing everything up over here. No water on the course, food is generally horrid, etc. Visited last Monday and was pleasantly surprised by the condition. The greens were superb. Very, very nice. Fairways and tees were excellent and the layout was very clean and in tip-top shape. Other than the questionable intelligence level of the pro shop guy, and the supposed dress code here at Empire Lakes ( i saw 2 other golfers out on the course that day in white, ripped underwear t-shirts and blue jeans), everything here at Empire surpassed my lowly expectations of this place.

Empire Lakes is in the best shape of any course I played in the last three months. While the other golf courses are coming back from overseeding, Empire Lakes is in perfect shape. Southland magazine sometimes has discounts for this golf course.

Played on veteran's day. Pace of play was perfect as we were off first. All other groups were screwed b/c people behind us were four holes behind at the turn.

Best greens at any public course I have been on in 2008. There was a maintenance worker rolling the greens about four holes ahead of us, so the greens were lights out. Rolling about 11 or 12 on stimp and not many ball marks. I have never played well at this course and Tuesday was no different, so my review is not tainted or biased due to a good round.

Rest of the course was in nice shape. Few bad spots on fairways, sand in traps was good, and tee boxes were level and lush.

Great job Empire Lakes greenskeeper and staff, can't wait to come out again.

Played with my regular "Saturday traveling group"...today the obvious choice for play was "Empire Lakes"...with a two-for-one coupon deal that brought the price down to $45.00 (including cart) on a Saturday. THAT is a deal that cannot be beat! We had the eight o'clock starting time, but for some reason, we did not actually tee-off until 8:30...so they were running a little behind.

The pace of play was a little slow. We waited on every single shot for the first 6-7 holes. It wasn't painfully slow...just "Saturday slow". The tee-box for #1 was borderline "casual water". If I had a fairway lie in such soup, I'd take a free drop!!

But overall, the course has never looked, never played, better.

Fairways were lush and green, the greens were near-perfect. Rough was typically long...sand-traps were well-filled with great quality sand.

A most enjoyable day of golf. 4.5 hours total.

Played in today's Click4TeeTimes tournament at Empire Lakes. My flight ("A") made it so I had to play from the blue tees (I would have rater played the yellow/golds...more suited for a 13-handicapper like me...but I didn't make the rules.) - but I struggled through. Overall, in very playable shape...maybe not as "green and pretty" as the mid-Spring version of Empire Lakes, but even on the brown grass, the lies were good. There's a couple of thin areas per hole...and it doesn't seem that they are watering enough this Summer. But the greens held all shots and putted true...I guess an 8 or so on the Stimp. Long round...5.5 hours...but that's because of the lost-ball problem on a tough course. Lots of heading back to re-tee. We didn't hold anybody up...and our group had more than our fair share of looking for wayward shots. I had no triple bogies. That's the best I can say. Like I said, I perfer the yellow tees. 43-48=91...and I'm a 13. Tough course from back there!!!

Tee boxes great....bunker sand was good and consistent.

E.L. is always in my rotation!

this course has gone downhill since i last played here. Maybe its the heat, maybe its the new ownership? This course use to have very good conditions from tee boxes to greens, now its so so. This course is one of my favorites, but after today, i have to reconsider. I'll give it another try in a month or two to see if conditions improves.

greens were soft! a lot of water on the course due to the hot weather. interesting comments about the service, don't know how long this has been in place, but they have put call boxes out all over the course for food and beverages. i don't know how it is better to have someone bring out free water to you rather than putting out on the course, but we got it when we needed it. i gotta believe on a very busy Saturday it could be a while before you get something, but only time will tell on that.

The guy at the pro shop may have zero personality but he does get the job done and he gets it right; getting all the players on the first tee at the right time. The course is in great shape and I took the click4teetime specials and I am glad I did.
The greens were a bit slow for Arnie course but they were every true and receptive. This course has the best par-3s and reminded me of the ones on Doral Blue monster in Miami, Florida. You will find plenty of 'green light' specials on all of the par-4s.
If you want to treat yourself to a guarantee good round of golf, you should try this course. I actually enjoyed this more than Jack's Angeles National. Will be back for sure again and again. I hope they keep offering good deals throughout the year!

Played on 6/29 which was the first time playing in about 2 years. Must say that I don't remember much about the course so I'm thinking that there has been some changes to the layout?

Got in for a two for one special, so $45 on a Sunday was a steal! Also a 7:45 tee time turned into a sub 4 hour round.....$45 + 4 hours= GREAT DAY!

I've seen quite a few comments of poor service here and I have to say that they seem to be trying to turn it around. The call in for free water is a good gesture, but the girl delivering it needs some training on golf etiqutte. Yelling out "who ordered the bottles of water?" is about as bad as yelling "Yer da man!" and "In the hole!".

Also strange not seeing a starter on the 1st tee or a marshall on the course. I guess it's every man for himself and hope that everyone practices ready golf AND has a realistic view of their golf ability when selecting which tees to play from.

This has always been a a decent course. Conditions are generally good and it's a fun course to play. However, the customer service is just about the worst I have ever seen at a golf course. The day I played, the young lady (Dolores) at the snack bar seemed very bitter. She was not friendly, to the point of being rude. The customer service has, for the most part, been very poor here. But, today was just horrible. This was in the morning before I teed off. When I came in at the end of my round I was happy to see that the two girls (Michelle & Tina?) were very polite and friendly. A complete change from the morning. Unfortunately, my morning experience in the snack bar was very bad. The shop guys and even the grounds crew are all very friendly. Look for coupons, with those it's worth it to play here. Otherwise, if you want good service go elsewhere.

Great course with a great layout. The greens ran pretty true and held most shots. The fairways are somewhat lush, slightly thin. The only true complaint I have always had about E.L. is the customer service. The guys at the front desk always seem so miserable to be there, and there is no marshall ever. Nice track nonetheless. If you have a chance to play it, find specials online to get good green fees.

I agree with golfindude in many respects. The new "system" is a bit strange...we didn't have the problems with the "call boxes" - - they were all working - - but the girls came out with water with little waiting.

MY problem was with the lack of marshalling. We ran into a three/four group back-up on the tee at #5. Usually - the back-up that occurs at #2 clears up by the fifth hole. Not so this day. Obviously (to us) - - there was a problem with the group ahead of the group ahead of us.

I called the proshop from my cell-phone.

Evidently (from what I later heard) - - they sent a marshall out - - he asked the group behind us if they had called for a marshall.

They answered truthfully: "No...we didn't."

That was it. The marshall left and went back in.

What a joke! He didn't drive out to us (we were still standing in the fairway, waiting the TWO groups in front of us to clear the fairway and green (#5 is a par-five) or go on ahead to see what was causing the bottleneck. Nothing. Nada.

Painfully slow round for a Friday morning (tee'd off at 11:15 AM)

Course is in great shape. Tee to green it's as good as it's ever been.

There are many areas (none are really in play) that no watering is being done. This makes the course perhaps not as aesthetically pleasing. But at least they got the trash out of the waterfall on #3 and the water is flowing again!

No doubt I will return

First things first, course is in excellent condition, tee to green. They have made the course more enjoyable for the average golfer since losing the Nationwide Tour Event. Fairways are wider and the rough is much less severe. Greens are still very smooth and quick. Now for the rest. Customer Service has been canned by Ugene, the GM, he has been doing this since coming to the course. No longer complimentary water waiting at the first the tee, no big deal right - wrong since there is no drinkable water anywhere on the golf course, no cooler, no drinking fountains. Still no big deal right, you'll wait and catch the beverage cart - fat chance of that, he has eliminated beverage carts. Okay so I'll get something at one of the supposed refreshment stations on the course; forget it, he eliminiated them also, there used to be one at the tunnel on the way to holes 6 and 10, not anymore. Hey I'm getting desperate, I need some water or something. Well since most of the call boxes used to ring the snack bar aren't working, use your cellphone, call the proshop and give them the order. I only needed water so the snack bar attendant came out in her cart and delivered the water. I don't know how they handle other requests. Now come on with summer approaching to eliminate cart girls and water bottles at first tee is ridiculous. Now getting the refreshments delivered to the tee box where you are preparing to tee off should be no problem, because you will be waiting there for awhile anyway. For some reason the golfers on this course are as slow as slow can be, and of course there are many that think the only tee boxes in use are those they shouldn't be playing from like blue or black. Insight to those who think blue is where men play, even you can hit the ball 270 with the driver, which I can't, where is it going? how about your long iron play? what about your scrambling effectiveness? So bombers you don't have to play the tips, unless you can break 80 at all the other tee boxes, please don't go there. A lot of short knockers, with game, are cooling their heals while you look for your drive, mi sh$t your approach shot, flub the chip, and finally drop your third putt. Like I said, the course is in excellent condition, the rest of the golf experience is in dire need of some attention by someone with more than $$$$ in their eyes. Also for $60.00 Monday - Thursday, $75.00 Friday, and $90.00 weekends, there are a lot of courses that will give you good conditions and customer service.

Empire Lakes is rated GREAT and thats correct. Greens are fast and tough to read. Fairways are almost there and the way outside rough, not the first cut, is downright rude and nasty. We had a 9am time, no one around, looking for errant shots usually meant finding 3 balls. We are going back next week to hopefully get even. Empire Lakes won this round, but its fair and we think if ya know more you will score better. A great golf course right now. $40 senior rate, worth every $.

Played 4/28, course has been softened to make play easier for the average golfer. Fairways are much wider and the rough is much less penalizing. The greens are perfect, smooth and quick, as good as any in Southern California. Even though the course is easier to play, I enjoyed it before, though losing balls in the rough was a problem, it was nice to play a course hard but not tricked up. It rewarded good shots, and made every shot important, it was fairway or take your chances in the rough. Still one of the better conditioned courses in the Inland Empire. Pace of play can get very slow sometimes, strange how so many golfers are only interested in themselves regardless of how they effect flow on the course.

played here 4/24. First time playing here, the course was in good condition and it was fun. Teeboxes and fairways were great. There was barely any rough (a few natural habitat areas).

The only complaint I had were about the greens. Seems the punched them recently and they have healed nicely. Everything was rolling nicely. However the green speed of the front and back 9 were completely different. The front side was rolling like a 11.5 and the back rolled more like a 8. I like fast greens so the back 9 was very frustrating...haha

watch out for the par 3s...they're long.

played on 4/7/08

blue tees - excellent shape

fairways - excellent shape

rough - not too penal off the fairway but there were some areas a little more removed that caused you to pay the price. there are some "nature-like" areas too that you'll have no shot out of.

greens - excellent. rolled very true. i was surprised they were poa greens.
i thought i'd be playing on bent but no worries. they are beautifully maintained and they're soft underneath so please fix any ball marks.
it seemed like most people did. they were pretty blemish-free.

driving range - does have grass tees but they were using mats when i went. not sure if they only use the grass for certain events or i showed up
on the last day of tee rotation before going back to the grass.

practice green - very sloping-not too many flat spots to get your 4-6 footers in before the round but a good reference to what's on the course.

layout - short front nine with some nice water holes and a few elevation
changes. back nine was longer and more opened up. but more challenging because it brings the wind and "nature-like" regions into play.

pace of play - not sure if this is common at E.L. but we got stuck behind a some SLOW groups. playing as 4 on the front, we kept an even pace and finished in just over 2 hours. going to the backnine as a twosome, the slow play revealed itself and we waited about 3-5 minutes on every shot.

overall - this is a really nice layout. the conditions are excellent. any bareness or inconsistency in the rough was in areas that a good golfer really shouldn't hit to anyway.

scratch - 10, play the back or blue.
11-18 - play the whites.
18+, you shouldn't play this course but you will anyway so play from the whites and don't get upset when you score between 95 and 105.

most of all, like any other golfing experience, HAVE FUN!!!!!

Played 4/3/08 course was in great shape. The people that work there are very upset about something. Most places you play they are friendly, not so here. There was no drinking water on the course, no cart girl they park a girl in the tunnel with a table of stuff. She is bored at best. Its a shame that the customer service is so bad. Greens were very nice the grounds keepers are more friendly than the staff

Played yesterday, 3/22/08 (Saturday rates) I'm sorry, but I still think $90.00 ($95.00 with the small bucket I purchased) is just too steep of a price for this track. It's nice...but it ain't "a hun'red dollas" nice!

In GREAT shape overall. The fairways are lush and the greens seemed to hold all shots well. The greens seem to be a little shaggy right now...not too fast and a little bumpy for my tastes. It seems (to my amateur greenskeeper eye) that whatever type of grass is used for the Empire Lakes greens is "flowering" right now...giving them an uneven putting character.

The course looks great...and - it's really a pleasure to play. I just wish the weekend rate were closed to that of Goose Creek or Eagle Glen. There are a lot of options out that way...I may think twice about an extra 30-40 bucks for the 'priveledge' of playing this course.

While nice...and a real golf challenge (just ask the Nationwide Tour guys that didn't make the cut last October!!) - - it's just too pricey where they have the fees set now!

The first fairway bunker - down the right side - -before the green, needs serious work. It's not a "sand trap" - - it's the "rock pit of death". Take your clubs in and swing away at your own risk (to the sole of your golf club). C'mon Empire Lakes. Put some SAND in that thing!!

southland golf magazine had 2 for 1 green fees, $90.00 ($45.00), so it was well worth it and we moved at a nice pace.

great course with over water tee shots, shared greens, blind tee shots and plenty of places to use driver. i would not pay $90.00, since that's too much for this place, but $65.00 is worth it. just like hidden valley, goose creek which are great courses...a tad overpriced, but must play courses.

Played Friday 22nd Feb in the morning. Forecast rain kept the usual hordes away and we got round in under 3 hours (as a 2 ball). Can we pay the local weathermen to forecast rain every weekend?

My only complaint about Empire Lakes is that the greens near the ponds/lakes are covered in coot crap. Either get someone out there in the morning to sweep them or get rid of the coots.

Otherwise, well worth the trip and the green fee.

Not as green as it will be in spring and summer...but the golf course plays as good as it can. As previously posted by others, there are some dormant areas, but overall the conditions are TOPS.

Not the quickest Saturday round ever...had the 7:12 A.M. slot...didn't tee off until almost 7:30...cart-path-only until 8:00...there was genuine frost on the fairways this morning. 4.5 hours. They really oughta do what Goose Creek does and send out rabbits for the first 5-6 times.

I guess it wasn't THAT slow. The group behind us was almost three full holes behind us when we were on #15. God only knows how long it took them to finish. If I had been behind those guys, I would have gone balistic. As it was we waited on about half of our shots.

Sheesh I HATE slow play!!

The sand in the bunkers is as good as any place around. I oughta know. I was in FIVE of them today!!

Greens were a wee-bit inconsistent...but overall they rolled true. They were a little firmer than usual, but - readable for both uphill and downhill putts...had to give the ball a good whack when the putt was uphill...

$90.00 including cart...weekend rate. If I was asked if that was a fair price I'd actually have to say: "Sorry...that's a little steep..." But - it is what it is.

The brown areas of the golf course is the bermuda that is dormant this time of year. Hit it straight and stay out of the brown areas or you will be in for a long round.

ALWAYS ENJOYED THE LAYOUT OF THE COURSE, BUT THE CONDITIONS LET ME DOWN TODAY. EVERYTIME I PLAYED THIS COURSE IT ALWAYS LOOKED PRETTY GREEN. LOOKS VERY DRY TODAY. GREENS WERE PRETTY FAST AND GOOD, BUT FAIRWAYS AND ROUGH WERE A LITTLE YELLOW AND BROWN. IT HAS BEEN A DRY SEASON. HOPEFULLY THE RAIN THIS WEEKEND WILL MAKE THE COURSE LOOK GREENER.

played this course new years day at 12:48...for $40, it was a good deal...too bad there were some slow groups in front of us - we only finished 16

i liked this course...challenging but fair course...the fairways are narrow, but if you hit them, you can shoot a good score...you really had to think your way around this course...you cant just blast your driver and go up and hit your next shot...the difficulty off the tee was balanced by some relatively easy greens...they were fast and firm, but not too tricky or undulating...

as for conditions, the greens, fairways, tee boxes, and sand were in great shape...if i had to nitpick, the course is a bit dry...the grass could use some watering in spots

the rough was yellow in spots, but its winter, and it didnt really affect playability, so i didnt mind

all in all...a good deal, especially compared to some OC courses

Overall, no real complaints. Saturday round...4.25 hours. Course (fairways and greens) are in great shape. There are a few dead areas in the rough - so - the course has certainly LOOKED better...but it IS Winter...so - I'll cut them some slack. It's good that the rough is all cut back to a standard length since the Nationwide Tour event back in October. The course plays 10 strokes (no lie!!) easier now that things are back to normal.

The pretty waterfall to the left of the tee-box on #3 was turned off and there was trash in the water.

The only reason I mention that in particular is because...overall...although Empire Lakes is a fine golf course and a good golf challenge...it's NOT a good deal for $95.00 on the weekend.

$100.00 if you include a small bucket on the range. Nice...but NOT "$100.00 nice".

The course is in nice shape. Besides cart path only for hour due to frost delay the day was perfect except for my game. Morning round was a breeze but the afternoon round was slow and it didn't help that a group jumped in front of our group at the turn.

played on 11/24. got lucky with the wind. perfect weather. course in great shape. the greens are FAST. i wish more people would fix there own divots! the fairways i thought were a little hard pan for a high end course. if you don't hit it straight all the time like me then bring lots of balls. still a very fun course to play, but stay on the fairway!

Gotta say we really like this place,, but,,, first the bad,, 9 Am tee time,, holliday rates, showing off the place to visitors and payed the $90. Practice green had trash from day before, #2 tee no white tee markers, first 2 or 3 greens were covered with clippings. If it was regular rate I wouldnt care, but if they want my $ again on a holiday it isnt gonna happen. After the initial small but annoying stuff was out of the way the course was in terrific shape. Staff is as usual very good, whomever hires the help has a keen eye. Greens were fast, smooth and very tricky. All in all a nice day, just wish someone cleaned up the place a little bit for the hollidays.

Course was in great shape, and tough as all get out. Staff was real friendly, young gal at desk was courteous and friendly, marshal came around quite a few times while we played and kept things moving.

Tee boxes were in good condition, fairways were lush and rolling with very few unfilled divots. the greens were fast and tricky and a couple of ball marks from someone playing ahead of us, the rough was cut about 2 inches high but tough to get out. Best way out is to take the shortest shot out of rough and back into fairway, otherwise add at least one more shot to your round. Yes, layup to a comfortable distance and hit an iron, woods and hybrids were not getting us out with any consistency. $30 with coupon, great deal and finished in just over 4 hrs.

Played 11/11. The fairways were not mowed and very hairy. The length of the fairway grass was at least 1/4 ball height...often times 1/2 ball height. It was like hitting out of light rough from the FAIRWAYS. I understand they're trying to grow in the winter grass but they should have given discounts on green fees. One redeeming thing was the greens were running fast and true. Don't play here until you can verify they cut the fairways.

Sorry so late....I'm usually more prompt in posting my reviews, but I was out of town on Church business all last week. Played Empire Lakes on Saturday, October 13th. If you recall...it rained all the night before...it stopped just before we teed-off and we never saw a drop of rain. That's the good news.

The bad news (depending on your POV): The prior reviews are correct and accurate. Jesus, Mary and Joseph! (That's as close to swearing as I ever come!) What a monster of a golf course!! The Nationwide grandstands were just being taken down...and the rough was still up. Really long. "Lose you ball when your standing right on top of it" long. "Up to you ankles" long. Needless to say: IT WAS BRUTAL!! I've never had a round of golf where I had so many shots with a sand-wedge where it was all I could do to hack away with all my strength to advance the ball 10-feet and pray! If you were not in the fairway...figure in a double-bogey at least. The length of the rough, coupled with the fact the course was so wet and gave you no roll...meant for a day of pure pain.

The greens....even after a rain...were some of the fastest and purest-rolling greens I've ever had the pleasure to play on! So THAT'S what it's like to play on PGA greens!! Let me tell ya - you did NOT want to be above the hole!! I can imagine what it would be like after the sun came out and dried them out!! I don't know how you could stop a downhill putt!

Our group includes a 7 handicapper (who shot a smooth 86!!) and two of us who play to a 12 (and we hacked around for dualing 97's!)

It was fun only because we were all in the same boat and could laugh about it.

Please cut the rough back to less torturous depths, and we will be back with bells on!!

Wow, those Nationwide guys are good! I'm still in shock on how awesome the greens are. They are absolutely rolling true and lightning fast. Just what I thought they would be after the event. What I wasn't prepared for is the rough. I lost many golf balls that shouldn't have been as the rough just makes it impossible to find your ball, regardless if you followed your shot all the way through. I must've lost about 5 balls due to this. Very frustrating to say the least! I would love to play it again just to putt those greens but the rough swallowing a majority of my balls is too much for me to handle.

Played early AM 10/10. The Nationwide guys were lucky they had caddies and Spectators as the rough was a KILLER!. I had a BAD morning with the driver and lost a bunch of balls that I KNEW exactly where they were, but we couldnt see, find, locate any of them unless we stepped on them.Tough day for me but if ya kept it in the fairway like my partner did it was no problem. Greens were med fast, course was in terrific shape. Mow the rough and I will return.... Staff was outstanding.

Played on Monday 9/10 and glad to say is on its way to being ready for the Nationwide event, which is good news for all of us paying hacks. The course experienced a lot of difficulty this summer with the extreme heat and humidity, but the main problem was the use of 'reclaimed water' for irrigating. The high levels of salt and chlorine in reclaimed water can cause havoc to grasses unaccustomed to it. The water quality, heat, and humidity is the reason greens got funky. Because the Nationwide was fast approaching the only remedy was to water heavy and let greens get longer than usual. I am glad to say the course is almost ready and the greens are again rolling true if not quite so fast. Be forewarned though, most tee boxes are pushed forward to leave back tees unused, and the rough, man is it rough. You need a spotter if you should miss the fairway or even a green by much. Rough is knarly, thick, juicy, and for us mere mortals, unplayable. Pitch it back in fairway or get frustrated and ball poor in a hurry. Seriously, if you miss the fairway keep your eyes on the spot you last saw your ball, even than might not find it. I lost 2 balls and I thought I knew exactly where they should be. Play the week after the Nationwide and find out what it is like to play a tournament ready course.

Played in the MCCC Media Day Scramble last week and found the courses lacking in several areas. Fairways were inconsistent and greens had apparently been aerated w/in the past couple weeks. Don't know why the Nationwide Tour keeps coming back here except for the car dealership $$$. Not a course worthy of a PGA event.

whoa not sure what's going on here but there huge dead spots on many of the greens. a few bunkers are filled with a ton of water, and large greenside areas are completely brown and marked under repair. some crazy stuff going on.

The Greens are in trouble. There is a problem with the reclaimed water they are using. Greens have alot of dead spots the size of a quarter, which give the ball a bumpy ride. There was alot of standing water on the course, that i have never seen before. Hope they get a handle on it soon.

this course is always a pleasure to play. conditions are always above average, and when the rough is cut up to tour level, be prepared to add 5-8 strokes to your score just from lost balls in the rough. luckily it's not that way right now, and is very reasonable. lots of interesting holes on the front nine, with the back nine become a bit more open and target like. service is about average for this type of course, and they do give you a water bottle right now due to the temperatures which is nice, though i guzzle it down before the first hole is over. definitely check it out if you haven't, plenty of deals to be had. right now greens, fairways, and tee boxes in above average shape.

Even though it was in the 100s (temp), I made my second trek to Empire Lakes. Unfortunately, we did not get to finish our round today. We just barely missed our call, so we got a late start (I had a bro that had to be back in Pasadena by 3:30). We would have finished if it weren’t for the senior foursome in front us. It was like watching paint dry on a 100 degree day….s…l…o…w. Plus no marshal to speed things up, so we passed them on the 10th hole and started on 11. Enough of the negatives. This course is in great shape. Tee boxes, fairways, rough, and greens (I didn’t hit into any bunkers today…so I’m not sure about them) were in great shape. I was really impressed with the complementary water bottle on the first hole (small gesture, but a nice gesture on a hot day!). As we were riding, I noticed the information about the junior golf pass. What a deal, I wish I had this type of opportunity when I was kid. The finishing touch was that we had the 2 for 1 coupon...$30 per golfer. I just wished I didn’t live so far…or I would play this more often.

Course Condition: A-minus
Greens: B-plus - overall smooth and rolled true.
Speed of play: 4.5 hours on a Saturday (7:15 A.M. to 12:45 P.M.)
Weekend price: $95.00 (included a small bucket)
Beer: Cold and plentiful.

Overall grade: A-minus

As good as it gets around here. Always a super value for a whole lotta golf course!! Free bottle of watrer at the first tee, and a refreshment stand at the tunnel before hole number 6. Still in my four-course rotation. Why spend your hard-earned cash and play anyplace else besides Empire Lakes, Goose Creek, Oak Quarry or Eagle Glen??

Always enjoyed the layout of this course. Has a wide variety of holes. Conditions were pretty good considering it hasnt rained for a while. There was a lot of moist areas around the course, making some lies mushy and muddy. I guess the golf course has to over water the place for it to stay green in the summer heat. Pace of play was horrible for a weekday. I was thinking no more than 4 hour before the round, but it took over 5 hours. Slow 4some plus two twosomes in front of us. Dont know why the two twosomes didnt join up. It would sped up the round a little bit.

Course was in very nice condition. It was NOT set up the way is for the Nationwide Tour, so with slow greens and the rough cut down, this play is fairly simple to play, except that the winds blows!!!. I think that if you can get out early before the wind starts howling, you're well ahead of the game and can post some decent numbers here. And with the 2 for 1 coupon, it is a bargin at $30.00

other than the beer not showing up for us until 17 and not one water bucket on the course, it was a good day at empire. they've started to overwater the course to combat the heat, so there are so soft spots on the fairway where one's ball can become plugged. greens were soft and held well. they are not the fastest greens out there, but they roll true and are not bumpy. the play was good, but not having any water to drink out on the course and nothing set up to buy any for hours except at the turn is unacceptable. how hard is it to get the water buckets out? that and we teed off 1/2 hr past our tee time. service blows, golf was good.

Played Empire Lakes on thurs. the 7th. Great course and very challenging from the back. Arnold your beat me up bud I just wish I was striking the ball better. Everything about the course was good shape but the greens could've been a little faster and not so shaggy but they still rolled true and that's all you need right? If you play here do me a favor and play the 601 yd. par 5 from the backs. The wind was in our face and we only needed Driver, 3-wood, 3-wood, Flop to get on the green and when I got there I needed to take a seat and look back at where I came from (now I know why the Nationwide guys don't go for it in two you can't!). Enjoyed my beat down and would love a rematch. Red Dot coupon for $30 is great price.

I decided to make the drive to Empire Lakes and glad I did. I had the 2 for 1 coupon and afterwards I felt like a got a steal. I agree with Mr. Chllidip about playing from the tips. I played with a bro that hardly plays (maybe 3 times a year), so we decided to play from the whites. I liked the set-up, I had to think my way around the course (used a lot of 3 woods and hybrids of the tee). Tee boxes, fairways, bunkers, and greens were in good shape (I thought the greens were a little slow though). I thought the rough was good as well. One of the things I really liked was that the even you didn’t hit the fairway, you still had chances to make birdie or par (unlike some course where if you don’t hit in the fairway your OB) just like Arnie. Had a great day, finished the round in 4 hours, and hope to play it again.

The two phrases that I hear the most when we're playing Empire Lakes are "Yeah, this is a really nice course" and "Hang on a second...I'm gonna hit a provisional." Everybody - and I mean everybody - plays this very tough track from either the blue or the black tees, and the results aren't pretty. A good portion of the tee shots are to blind and/or diagonal fairways, so guys are spending plenty of time hunting around in the weeds for balls. When you throw in the five water holes...well...you'll see what I mean should you decide to give this great course a call. Good luck.

Played on Monday with coupon from email 2 for the price of one. With holiday rate it ws only $45.00/player which was a real bargain for the day and course. Course is in very good condition but the greens are putting quite a bit slower than usual, maybe it was due to the holiday and limited maintenance crew. Still was well worth the green fee with the coupon. The biggest problem playing here is the pace of play. We teed off behind two groups of "members" and they could care less if anyone else is on the course. The front side was slow but the back nine was ridiculous, had more than a couple of holes where we waited until the foursome behind us was waiting with us. Marshal spoke to the slow group in front but it fell on deaf ears, they would pick up play for all of two shots than snail along again. What would have been an excellent day on the grass turned into just an okay one because of the slow play.

I'm liking Empire Lakes more and more for some reason. Probably because the 210 Freeway goes all the way out to Rancho Cucamonga now - and I don't have to fight the bloody I-10. But more than likely it's because the place is really in tip-top shape all the way around.

Played today, Wednesday, 5/23/07. From tee to green, I can't say I saw anything out there worth noting in the "negative column". Fairways are just fine, the rough is lush and not-too-long, traps are good, the greens hold all shots well and roll true (albeit a little slow for my tastes - but hey - compared to Trilogy (Glen Ivy) Empire Lakes' greens are like freakin' Augusta National!!!) And (miracles of miracles!) - a 4 1/4 hour round, beginning at 11:36 A.M. Never caught the group in front of us until the 14th hole....never saw the group behind us until the 17th!

And, the best part....I got out on a "Click4teetimes.com" last minute single slot... and paid $36.95 total, including cart and including the $4.95 processing fee.

That may be the best forty bucks I've spent all month!

I think the current GK rating is fair....my personal "Cheeseburger Rating" for E.L.G.C. is a solid 7.00 out of 10.00. All in all - worth every penny...and a quality track all the way around. Kudos to the greenskeepers out there!

Agree with most of the previous, 7:30 tee time, not fast but not slow, just right. Course is fun but tough. Not toooo long then ya get a 576 par 5 {blues} YIKES,,. The par 3s are a struggle, they are fair but not your easy 3 or 4 and cruise on. Dont get me wrong, you dont have to be a great golfer, but its not your everyday Muni. Greens were a bit slow but rolled perfectly. We missed a lot of easy putts, so I guess they are on track for the Nationwide boys. Rough was weird, as posted, some areas were cut and playable and some were so high the ball dissapeared. We played Barona last week and you can tell why these two tracks were chosen for Nationwide play. Great day with the guys, cant wait to return.

I played as a single on Mother's Day for $45. I really enjoy the course layout, but the usual weekend green fees are a little too high to justify driving all the way out there. The course is in very nice condition, but the greens were much slower than usual, maybe because of the heat. The rough is also much shorter than other times I have played here, but there are still some areas where they let the grass get a foot high. If you hit your ball there you almost have to step on it to find it.

Played Empire Lakes G.C. this morning. Saturday, 5/12/07 with an 8:36 A.M. starting time. Yeah, I know. Probably a risky thing to start with, but - "we did pays our money so's we did takes our chances".

Unlike the previous poster, we had a completely satisfactory experience with the staff... and one diligent course marshall in particular.

Long story short (yeah, right...a feedback from Cheeseburger that's "short"!) - we just KNEW from the very first teebox that there was going to be serious trouble. Problem number one: they let a foursome go out ahead of us - - and we were a twosome. That is a HUGE mistake on a Saturday!! The four fellows in front of us, who were playing from the blue tees - and who, quite simply, had NO BUSINESS PLAYING FROM THERE!!! I'm sure they are really nice guys...but COME ON!!! Watching these guys tee-off was so painful...that my normally stoic playing partner said to me: "Hurry! Drive up a bit" - and we parked right close behind them as they got into their carts at the blue tees (we, as the handicap suggestion sign indicates, played from the appropriate GOLD tees. My friend said to the group ahead of us - (pretty loudly, so he could definitely be heard above the cries of "Gooo shaw!! Goo shaw!!!": "Hey...have a good round guys...and please try to keep up with the group ahead of you!"

Needless to say, these guys immediately fell an **entire hole** behind by the third tee.

As we're driving up the third fairway....here comes Fred the Marshall, driving up the cart path. We immediately call Fred's attention to the fact that, not only was OUR round going to be ruined....but his entire golf course was going to be messed up beyond all recognition (my Navy Seal father would have said "FUBAR"!) all day long...unless he did something QUICKLY!!

Lo and behold, our man, "Marshall Fred" (major kudos, Fred!! We owe you a beer for this one!! Nice guy!!) drives up ahead to check the situation...sees the train-wreck that's about to occur...and then stops them on the fifth tee box and holds them up...and tells them to let us play through on the par-5 fifth hole!!! A marshall doing what a marshall SHOULD do!!!!

By that time, these poor guys were an entire par-5 and more than half of the next par-4 hole behind.

Needless to say, we made good time from then on...and caught up to the next group by the 8th and 9th hole.

Are you ready for this?? ANOTHER TWOSOME!!!!

So, being old-school golfers, we did the proper thing (where on earth do these people learn to play golf so that etiquette is just not covered any more??) and joined up with them and - of course - stayed out in front the rest of the day, and even with the painfully slow start, still managed to finish in 4.5 hours. We never saw that slow group again...and the **two** groups that finished behind us had evidently also been asked (by somebody) to play through. Unbelievable!

Again, kudos to our main-man...Fred The Empire Lakes Marshall...and a big fat "thimbs down" for the starter not moving the players around on his grid!

The course is in great shape (as always - fairways, greens, tees - the bunkers were a bit like wet concrete - or at least the one I was in on the par-3 14th was!)....but something has just GOT to be done about slow play on these courses... or So. Cal. golf is just going to be too painful for me to play any more!

Conditions are great. The immediate rough is cut fairly short so you can still score good if you miss the fairways. This is usually not the case here so maybe they're still growing them out? The greens were not as fast as they usually are either. Makes the course play a bit easier than usual. Great course conditions either way. Click4teetimes.com discount makes this place a BARGAIN.

Played on Tues 5/1 - Course was in real nice condition, 7:30 tee off, 4 1/2 hour round. The greens were still med fast to slow from the aeration but are almost fully recovered. Not many visible ball marks. The fairways were rolling some areas with divots from the group in front of us. Who BTW were playing "Slower than mollasses in January", had to wait too many times to take our shots. No marshall around during the whole round, They probably don't come on shift until after 10 AM (my guess). Still one of our favorite tracks.

Played Empire Lakes on Monday afternoon 4/23. I was lucky to go out just ahead of the high school matches. The course was in great shape. The greens rolled true with good speed. They were not too fast nor too slow. Fairways looked as as good as I can ever remember. The pace was about 4 1/2 hours. It was a great day for golf especially since the course was in the best condition that I have seen. The only problem was that I was playing with better players!

Played on Tue 4/17 morning and course conditions were great. Fairways and greens were in great conditions. Rough was a bit tough and thick. Pace of play was pretty slower than expected given they were letting two-somes out behind a slow four-some, instead of pairing up two-somes. No complaints given the quality albeit the wait was getting annoying towards the end. Would definitely play this course again.

Forgot one item,, we have noticed that the harder the course, ohhh say Empire Lakes or Moreno Valley vs oh say Sierra Lakes or L A Royal Vista the fewer ball divots we find on the greens. Very few found at Empire Lakes today, vs hundreds at the other two courses just this week. So maybe better golfers fix them ? You think???

7:30 tee time today, not sure where kevbig was, but agree with almost everything he said, place is as usual a fun well kept track, but, the greens while not showing holes and no sand were verigated {spelling?} and the small ruts drove us to drink beer early. Most of the time all was OK, but when a great putt was struck ,,, sometimes,,, it kept going in the ridges. We had a great time anyway. In a week the greens should be perfect. We will be back in 2 weeks. We are spoiled with this p[lace, one of the best anywhere.

Course is in great shape. Greens are almost fully recovered from aeration. Other being a little softer than normal, you wouldn't know that the greens were punched recently. Rolling true. The rest of the course is its usual excellent self. Hit it straight or pay the consequences.

course in great shape except greens are somewhat slow. probably from aeration a couple of weeks ago. got a good discount off the internet so it was really worth the price of $45.

course is in good shape overall. greens are slower than normal, but that's to be expected a month after punching. other than speed, the greens are soft and smooth. they should give it a good mowing soon and get them back up to speed.

Played fri 3/30, 10:15 am, 5 hr rd. greens are 95% there... nice rolls and true, just a bit shaggy and slower than normal. maybe an 8 or 9 on the stimp, vs 11... or something like that. whatever, they were the perfect speed for me. course in excellent shape. rough is penalizing, though inconsistent throughout the course. some holes rough was thick, others, it was mowed down. anyways, if you like to play here, the greens are good enough to play.

Played Empire Lakes today. They punched their greens March 5 and 6. Give the greens another two weeks and they will be sweet. Need to hit fairways and greens, rough is high. First golf course that I played that has a lot of high grass this time of year. Fairways in great shape. Get on their mailing list for price off coupons.

Played on 03/10/2007. Course was in decent shape. Fairways were in good condition. Greens were nice but shaggy. Rough was spotty but overall in okay shape. 7.8 out of 10.

Bring your water bottles. Water seems to be scarce over there.

Played 3/11. As usual, the conditions were very good. Although, there were a lot of unrepaired ball marks on the greens -- which are being aerated anyways. The fairways were smooth and green. And the rough was lush. Whenever I play here, I always wonder why it is not more crowded given the relatively cheap price (play @ 12pm for $70 and even cheaper @ 2pm), the quality of the conditions, and the great customer service from starter to cart girl. But then I stop wondering because I don't want it to turn into a typical course that has 5+ hour rounds on the weekends.

Played sat 3/10, 10:20 tee time, 4 1/2 hr rd. Very nice day. Winds were nonexistent until the last 4 holes, where it started to pick up a bit. Course in great shape. cut down the rough. greens were a little shaggy and slow... but i guess they are punching this week.

Empire is always a pleasure to play. Played today and the wind wasn't blowing so hard like it was on Saturday, an absolutely brutal day to play golf with 30+ mph winds. Because of the winds, the greens are hard and fast, hard to stop your ball unless you bring it in real high. Otherwise, the course is in pretty decent shape, I've seen it better but I ain't complaining since today was an absolutely beautiful day to be out on the golf course. Putting green is aerated, and course greens are being done soon. Pace was good for a Sunday, cart girl was always around, and I parred 17......FINALLY! :)

Played Empire Lakes on 2/22. My first time playing this course and it was a beautiful well maintained course. Fairways were beautiful and the greens were rolling true. Only paid $50 to play at 11:30. the course was wide open and finished just under 4 hours. Very friendly staff. It was also nice to see PGA pro Kevin Na practicing on the range.

I happen to play Empire Lakes right after the Nation wide tour and the rough was thick and cost me a stroke almost every time. I am used to rough but that was high and thick if you even find your ball.. But the fairways and greens were is great shape and this course is a must play if in the area...

course is in really good shape. the greens are the best part, but i would not classify them as "fast". they roll true and it is a pleasure to play at a place where ball marks are fixed. tee boxes were a disappointment, they are very beat up in places. some are shaggy, some are thin, but it doesn't hurt play. overall, great day.

Everything is starting to green up. The fairways were in good shape and not too many divots, soft in some spots with not too much roll. The greens were real nice and not many ball marks. They rolled about medium to fast, downhills were quick. Tee boxes were in decent shape, some were uneven, not too many divots, and some had casual water on them. Bunkers were packed and moist, combo sand and dirt on some. The weather was crisp (in the 50's) and a slight breeze, cloudy for most of the round. 4hr 15 mon round.

Tab down and see Cheesburgers comments,, I agree completly, Everything is in terrific shape,, Hummm,, lets see,, $37 for Los Seranos South ? which we think is in HORRIBLE shape or $40 senior for Empire Lakes, which we think is in terrific shape. Its all about conditioning and paying staff to keep the place up. Empire Lakes has done a great job. A few ball marks, bunkers were excellent, everything was good. We will be back soon. Oh Yeah,, greens were smooth, fast and tricky,, just right,

Played 1/23 - Good day for golf, cool in the morning, warmed up by the 6th hole. 7:30 tee time, started on time finished in 4hr15min. They were putting down fertilizer and putting down a lot of water, some areas had standing water areas - a couple of fairways and a couple of greens. Some greens had lot of ball marks, and were bumpy from the fertilizer pellets. Overall good playing conditions, $40 with coupon - good value.

I played Empire Lakes 3 times during the two week Christmas/New Year period. I'm starting to like this course. The greens were sweet and true. I love it when people fix their ball marks. They seem to do that here. Some of the bunkers were a little hard. Tee boxes were is good shape.

On Saturday 1/6/07, I was suprised to see very few groups teeing off (just before noon). When we reached the 1st green, the group in front was on the 3rd tee. Unfortunately, we did have a 4-group pile-up on the par 3 7th. It opened up a little after that, but still took about 5 hours.

Have not been posting all my rounds lately here on Greenskeeper.org - I play a lot at Goose Creek, Eagle Glen and Oak Quarry. Those are standards that are set pretty high and there's usually not much I can add to the comments that I and other local golfers have made re: those three fine courses.

But I ventured out of my normal rotation and played Empire Lakes today, and I felt moved to make the following observations:

What a pleasure! Today is Wednesday, January 10th. My friend who made the tee-time on "Click4TeeTimes' goofed and made the time for yesterday, not today. When we arrived - the nice man at the counter felt our pain... and he got us out right at the same time that we had made (9:12 A.M.) I think we lucked out - but - he could not have been nicer if he had tried!

The couse is in FLAWLESS condition!! Seriously! Like a nice, private club! The fairways had not one thin spot that I saw - some of the lies were a little tight, but - overall the fairways were lush and green and looked like we are in the middle of springtime rather than early January! The rough is not-too-long, but - it's best if you keep it out of the longer grass if you want to score well at Empire Lakes!

Now for the greens....FAST! and true!! And very consistent, front and back! And they held all shots well!! Not too hard and very fair....not so soft that they were like dartboards, but they allowed for some creative shotmaking if you like to work the ball. Whoever is the greenskeeper there is doing a country-club quality job all the way around.

I still like Oak Quarry and the others, but - I guarantee that Empire Lakes will be in my regular rotation again! I can't think of a single complaint. The beer-cart girl came around three or four times, the marshall kept things moving...all-in-all one of the best golfing experiences I've had in a long time!

So good, I'm going back to play it again on Friday!

I give it a 9-out-of-10 stars rating!

Played on 01/01/2007 and course was, as always in very good conditiion, closer to excellent than most. This course is very deceptive, it looks like a piece of cake from the teebox and turns into a bear on the scorecard. Miss the tight fairways and you will play havoc to make par, miss the small undulating greens and only an A+ short game will save your par. Of course with luck some errand shots will not render a bad score, but when all the numbers are totalled you will wonder why you didn't score better. Condition of course is as good as any in So Cal. Only real drawbacks are price, specially weekends @ $90.00, and pace of play. Even during week days I have spent more than five hours here and only because of a lack of marshalls.

Played sunday 12/16/06 morning 3 groups of 4 somes. After long time played again here.Generally in excellent shape especially greens are best I played last 6 monthes(maybe more) .Well holding & fast speed with true rolling. Fairways also good carpet looking conditions but little bit soggy .
Pace of play must to be good(surely it was!) cause of $90.00 green fee without GPS prime time weekend fee is not frequent choice for weekend golfers. But rarely, it worth.
Really enjoyed the round.

Played on Christmas Day, 2006. Teed off at 11:30 and finished in 4 hours. Course was empty and pace was excellent. A very nice way to spend a day after opening gifts in the morning. Course is in excellent condition. Greens are perfect now and rolling true, Rough not as bad as it has been but you still need to make sure you keep your eye on where it enters the rough. Fairways are in fine condition and bunkers have plenty of medium weight sand. Even saw Kevin Na practicing and palying a few holes. Word is he's there all the time and it's his home course. Big John Daly was out there a couple of weeks ago also. Nice to be able to play where some of the pros play and practice. Great test of golf and very affordable for what you get. I always look forward to playing here. Very highly recommended.

Additional comments - As I mentioned earlier the course was in great playing shape. Fairways, and greens were lush, no excessive divots on the tee boxes, fairways, and ball marks were all repaired on the greens. Play was a bit slow, finished in 4.5 hrs but could easily have been 4 or less. Marshall was on top of the action, stopped by and chatted with us and gave us a summary of play ahead of us. Great weather, started cool and chilly but was pleasantly warm by the 4th or 5th hole, no winds to alter your shots.

Played Sat 12/02. First time playing this course. Man, it was windy. Lost many balls... clean out most of my old golf balls. Rough are tough. Hard to find the balls if they landed in the rough. Lost few balls even they should have landed on the fairways... somehow they rolled into the lakes or just vanished??? Very challeging course. Even without the wind, it would be very interesting course. You really need to have good tee shots. You also need to know the course layout before you make your tee shots. Greens are alright but had quite a few ball marks. Love the lake views. Wish we could slow down a bit and enjoy the views. Definitely will go back and try the round again. Wish they put some of water coolers back.

pace of play can be of concern, evidently management could care less about enforcement of pace problems, range is terrible, sand, more sand , and more sand, actually had a few strands of grass under a marker, and the range balls; some of them were actually round..

played this morning, 7am. We were third off with a 5-some in front of us. I only thought they pulled that kind of crap in Long Beach, but I guess not. We had to wait a few times, so to combat this, we hit some extra shots (we were a 3-some). This in turn, did not make the 3-some behind us very happy. But, what are you gonna do?

Course was really firm and tight after the Nationwide tournament. Tee boxes were tightly mown and firm. The fairways were also tightly mown and a little dried out. No wonder these guys hit the ball so far; all that roll is nuts. I wouldn't consider myself a long hitter by any means. We played from the tips (except on the 8th hole, which was the 6th hole during the tournament, where they played from the whites and made it a par 4 instead of a par 5). I hit 4 drives over 300 yards, which happens rarely.

The greens were firm and fast but not lightning quick. The rough wasn't bad at all. I guess since they've had 8 days to mow the rough, it's allowed them to trim it to an acceptable level. Last year, after playing 5 days after the tournament, the rough was almost unplayable. The course is pretty dried out and brown, but was fun to play. Rarely do we mere mortals get the chance to play a course with similar conditions that the pros see week in and week out. Fun! :-)

Wow. That's all I can say. Greens are SWEET. Rough is up. Bunkers are good. Tee boxes are tight. Only negative was the most of the tee area's for the blue and black tee are moved up to the white tees for the tournament next month, and its cart path only. Free tournament tickets with green fee is a nice touch. Another thing. No more water in cooler tanks, cart girl will give you water when she comes around. New course policy i guess.

Played the course on Friday the 22nd of Sept. Two weeks before a Nationwide tournament. They had narrowed the fairways and the rough was very long. They already had the stands in place on a number of the holes. The course was in very good shape but it usually is. The only drawback was having to be a member of the Seniors club to get the Senior rate. In the past anyone 55 or older got the Senior rate. This will probably reduce the number of times I play the course.

LOOK OUT!!!! Here comes the Nationwide guys to Empire Lakes. The PGA staff is working on the place, it is almost perfect. Stay outa the rough, put a micro chip in your ball, everyone watch all shots, you hit it in there so its your fault. Everything today was as it should be with a couple of exceptions. The course is very difficult,as it should be right now. It is in great shape, the staff was all ya could ask for.I know who can be a downer, but he wasnt there today. Now for the crazy stuff. They are having a $60 for 2 players after 10 AM. We are usually a 7 to 8 AM group. We forgot what shows up after 9 Am. We were stuck behind 4 ,,,,count em,,4 beginners. all in the same group. 2 youngsters and 2 oldies,I am old, but I am talking oldies,, seemed like nice folks, but after 7 holes watching the day turn to night it got to be too much. Who the hell would try to learn to play golf at Empire Lakes 3 weeks before the Tour guys came to town? The Marshall was trying to be a nice guy, but when they fell behind 3 holes he finally made them let us thru. Then a 3 some got by them and asked us to let them thru,we said sure, and they held us up the last 3 holes. Crazy !!!!. Have ya ever noticed that the folks that make ya mad on the course all day NEVER come into the clubhouse and have a beer or a soda or spend a dime on anything? We were ready have a little fun, after a beer or two, but as usual not one of them came in out of the heat, We will go back to where the fast golfers are,,, 7 to 8 AM tee times. Dont mean to be stuffy,, but golf shouldnt be a day and a half event. Even with the distractions it was a good day.

WOW! Played on Sat 9/9....ok I know they are getting ready for the Nationwide tour, but the course was really great. Kudos to the superintentant...no heat related problems here. Bit of advice, make sure you have someone spotting your ball. They are growing out the rough, it's really long already, and the tour doesn't come into town until 10/5. It's really hard to find the ball if you don't know exactly where it landed (or just stay in the fairway....makes it easier :)
Greens were not as fast as I expected, but they were looking alittle shaggy, like the maintenance staff didn't have time to mow them that morning, but they still rolled true. A great, challenging golf course, some of the greens were really small. I'd definitely play again!
Attn: to the management, they only thing that brought down my rating for your course is the pro shop staff....they all act as they they are doing you a favor by waiting on you. Only exception was the great snack bar attendant!

Played Empire twice during August, a Sunday morning and a Monday twilight. In both cases my tee time was pushed back an hour because they were out of carts. The Sunday is was told it was because their carts were old and that they were getting new ones soon. On the Monday twilight round they had the new carts but I was told that their was a tournament on the course and this caused them to run out of carts. In both cases golfers were piled high at the club house waiting for players to bring carts back in. As for the course itself it was in good shape except for the greens which most were beat up and bumpy, with sixteen being almost unplayable.

Course is in pretty good condition, though a couple of the greens are looking sort of burnt out. Finding fairways is a must if you want to score well. Rough is getting very thick and long in preparation for Nationwide event. The green on 16 is totally messed up, I can't believe they are still using it with the upcoming
