Played this weekend... The greens were SANDED because they were trying to speed up the slow greens. Ended up not made the balls roll untrue....but with with uneven speeds. Impossible to score correctly...missed many birdie opportunities. The greens were still slow even with sand.

The tee boxes were also sanded. And many uneven.

Many don't like to play this course because it is considered narrow. I think that is overdone... Played it for the first time...expecting to play 'stickball' in a narrow alley. Nah.

Layout is funky as you have to traverse a bunch of homes. Ignoring that...the course layout is interesting and fun.

Fully sanded greens are bad.

Played 12/31 with my wife. Quick pace, not many 4 somes on the course. Course was in decent shape. A few gimmicky holes. Not the hardest course as long you know where you are going. Long cart rid... Continue »

Played 12/31 with my wife. Quick pace, not many 4 somes on the course. Course was in decent shape. A few gimmicky holes. Not the hardest course as long you know where you are going. Long cart rides between holes. Hole #8 is lame. It's a par 4 and I had to tee off with my 7 iron to avoid the water and sand trap that awaits you 200 yds away. I should've just hit driver and flown all the crap. But it was a nice day and spending it with my wife made it more enjoyable. I will not play here again.

I played on a Tuesday morning, paying $39 (check their website for discount) and finished in about 4 hours. It had been about 4 months since I played CMR and the conditions were very good. The fairways and greens were very lush. The first hole was cart path only and #9 is now a demanding uphill par 4, so the course is now par 72. the fairways were wet in a few spots but these are minor quibbles.

Yes, the course requires you traverse the CMR neighborhood but the upside is that you get a challenging, "each hole is unique", golf course. A fun course to play but I'd advise beginners to steer clear given the narrowness of some of the fairways.

Played on Oct 6, just after the aerating. Have to say, the greens rolled better than many non aerated greens I've played this year. Yes, there are some blind shots, and homes left/right of every fairway. And it is a long way between some greens and the next tee, but I have to say it was in fairly good condition. Fairways were aerated in spots too. The meat of the fairways were in good condition. If you got off on the edges, you may see some thin grass, but it's been a hot/dry summer, so it's what you'd expect. Some wet spots from watering, but they were all G.U.R. so just pick it up, drop it and play on. Bunkers I got into were decent. Played as a threesome in just under 4.5 hours. Would have played faster, but my partners are just beginning so we had to search for some balls. Nice clubhouse, nice staff, was surprised it was so open on a Saturday morning. Will most likely return again.

Course layout is actually pretty decent....homes line the fairways.....the course itself is just not very well maitained. Therefore, the green fees are way too high for this course.

Paid $ 45 bucks due to special rates. I really liked this course, alot of scenic holes and tunnels to drive through. Some of the holes your driving on a cart path next to houses and streets and have a good distance between the holes. I can't see anyone wanting to walk this course. Was kinda soggy in some spot where there is mudd from sprinkler runoff. I was a single and played with three seniors eeer older folks and had alot of fun. Greens were smooth and overall not bad conditions. I would play this track again.

Played last weekend for the 1987 rate which was there I believe the 20th anniversary. We had a lot of fun, although the rate was only $30 so the course was really crowded. Other than the crowd the course was fun and had a few difficult shots to make. That's what makes golf fun is the challenge. Bunkers were a little hard and wet, but the course it's self was very satisfactory. The only part of the trip I didn’t like was driving through the neighborhood to get from hole to hole. Over all I would rate this course satisfactory and I would play there again.

Nice place but one niggle--no range and it was a bummer. We were lucky to some degree. It (71) was very uncrowded, 10:45 8/6/07, and the wind was slight; warm not HOT. Although some older folks slowed us down on 7, 8 and 9. They let us pass at the turn. Never saw a Marshal. Quite a challenging course for us (2'some: 20 hdc and 25 hdc). Some tight fairways, lot's of elevation and link type holes. Interesting layout as you wind through homes and along banked fairways, crossing many streets. If you keep drives in play, you often are left with a demanding second shot. Many lay up holes off the tee and after. There were a few mushy spots on the fairways and bald places, too, but not bad. Don't fly the greens on most holes as the result will be less than forgiving. Lot's of trees, mostly pine. Some water, but placed fairly. Some greenside bunkers are steep and Europeanesque. The greens were good overall (relatively large), but some were a bit wet. Lot's of dual level greens, watch out for the downhill putts and get up the slope or it will roll back--all the way back and beyond! A couple of long 3 pars for us. I liked this course and the 9th hole will soon become a 4 par--this hole has a shared green set up with the 18th. I got an internet rate and it was well worth it. I even had a good day overall. I'm a senior and I (20 hdc) still managed a 92. My partner had a tough day with a 103. If you're near to us in level of play, expect a real challenge, believe me, I got lucky on at least 6 holes. Enjoy.
